Memory Box Stitchable Stocking and Mitten…

Hi everyone!  Let the Christmas/Winter festivities begin!  I hope to get our tree out soon!

Today I stitched up these NEW dies from Memory Box, keeping them simple!

They come with flower dies also but I just used the holly from the stocking set on both.

I’ve made some stockings in  the past and mittens.

This post,  I’ll just call the mitten a candy cane mitten! Fancy stitching!

This postI left the stocking open at the top and added a candy cane, french knots on the berries, kinda retro!

So fun and such a sweet size (4 x 3 ish)…perfect on the tree or that extra special package for a special person!  I think my photos make them look larger than they are IRL.

I used Taylored Expressions felt, I’ll link you up below!

thank you so much for stopping by!  Happy belated Thanksgiving and merry making in the days ahead!

Memory Box Merry and Bright Candles Card…

Hi everyone!  It’s always a festive Christmas card when you can add in some poinsettias and pine!

I had fun using a bunch of products on this card and of course bringing in brown! lol

I started by cutting the candles in green and inking them with Distress Rustic Wilderness and the flames die cut in white and inked with Distress Mustard Seed.  I added some Copic E07 at the bottom of the ovals to look like fire.

After I pieced the candles together I spritzed them with Sparkle Spray…they are really shimmery in person…the dots aren’t so dotty looking IRL. lol  Left them to dry and worked on the background and poinsettias.

I used the NEW Pinecone and Berried 3D Embossing Folder for the background panel….after I embossed it, I inked it with Gathered Twigs and Walnut Stain Distress ink and ink blending brushes.  I spattered it with a gold spray by Heidi Swap but I don’t see it anywhere anymore.  Any gold ink would work.  I’ll link to the other one I use more.

I die cut the Memory Box Pine Branches die, clipped it apart and used half on each end.

I die cut the Petite Poinsettias die set and made 2 poinsettias to add on each end.

The sentiment is from the poppystamps Christmas Quotes stamp and die set.

I hope I remembered to include the pertinent details…if I didn’t comment or email.

haha!  I forgot to take a picture of the inside again!  I made the cardbase green, then I die cut one of the Rectangles from the NEW Memory Box Fringed Scalloped Frame Set in red cardstock and I stamped ‘Wishing you a Merry Christmas’ from the NEW Be Merry stamp set that I love so much!

Spellbinders Felt Snowman Star Ornament…

Hello everyone!  First I wanted to let you know about this sale!  I don’t know about you but I like these early sales because Thanksgiving day and weekend are so busy!  It’s hard to get this kind of shopping to fit in with all the other activities!

Sharing my super cute Felt Snowman Star Ornament with you today!   So festive and fun!  What a fun addition to my tree or it might end up being a gift to a friend!

It’s even cute on the back!

I die cut everything…pretty much following the designer Nicole’s video HERE.  I did a few things different.  I just left it sewn with a running stitch and didn’t go back and fill in the spaces.

I sewed his eyes on but in handling those pieces the felt starts to shred so I can see why she just did a knot for the eyes on hers.   I like the bigger eyes though….

I stitched on his nose and cheeks.

I only used hot glue to adhere the scarf.  I didn’t stitch clear through front to back.

He’s definitely got personality!  I love it!   I hope you do too!   I have two more from this collection to make up plus a mitten from Memory Box!  Fun!

So thankful for this craft!  One of my dearest friends has passed away.  We shared 30 years of  kindred spirit papercrafting! I will miss you so much Jan! We were always texting each other, did you see this?  did you see that?  lol  Smiling through the tears.

Thank you for stopping by today and email if you have any questions!

Memory Box A Frame House Christmas Scene Card…

Hi everyone!  A fun, snowy, scene card to share today.  I love the cancellation stamp!

I used the NEW Memory Box A Frame House die.  I love it with the festive wreath and die cut in woodgrain cardstock!

The NEW Memory Box Snowflake Hot Foil Plate shines foiled in white!  I used TE Cookie Monster ink to ink blend a little and it did stain the white foil…I didn’t mind the look though!  In fact I meant to go back and add a little black but I completely forgot!  I will try Distress ink next time, maybe it would come off.

I used Memory Box NEW cardstocks… Deep Turquoise and Cherry Red  I’ll link below.  The green on the tree is old, old cardstock from Bazzill.

I used a scrap of Memory Box glitter cardstock from a 6×6 pad to sit the house and trees on. HERE.

I was totally inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week, so I’m linking to it!

Fairy Jewels from the Memory Box Christmas gem set.

I forgot to take a picture of the inside!  waaaahhh.  I actually completely finished this card!  On the inside I used the wonderful  ‘Wishing you a Merry Christmas’ stamp from the NEW  ‘Be Merry’ stamp set.

The stamp on the front is from the NEW ‘Holiday Wishes’ stamp set.

I absolutely LOVE both of these sets!

oh my, I almost forgot to add the trees! NEW Memory Box Slender Pine Trees die!

This card ended up a unique size but will fit in an A7 envelope and mail for one forever stamp.  yay!

Memory Box Leaves and Berries Merry Christmas Swirl Card…

Christmas cards always make me think of songs! You? So right now I’m singing in my head, have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!

I just realized my gold spattering on my card looks white in this photo.  Hopefully in the rest we can see gold!

oh tricky photography!  There’s brown spattering with Walnut Ink too.  No white, that’s gold ink!  It’s really pretty.

I stamped the NEW Leaves and Berries Cling Stamp on Memory Box watercolor paper with Ranger Archival Black ink.  Watercolored with Karin Brush Markers, red, lipstick red, olive green and olive black. I used a waterbrush to move the ink around.

I love going vintage-y.  Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress ink blended on heavier on the edges and lighter in the center.  I did some waterdrop bleaching too.

I used the New Merry Christmas Swirl die for the sentiment…painted the letters and swirl with the same markers.

Tied it up with string!  Jute and thin gold cord.

Adhered the sentiment with my favorite thin mounting tape.

I stamped the inside and my name on the back even!  One more ready to mail!  YAHOO!

I used the NEW Memory Box Be Merry Stamp set.

I know I always say this but I wish you could see it in person…So much prettier!
