Swiss Pixies Butterfly Lucy for Sweet Stamping Pixies Challenge #3…

It’s the second Monday of the month and that means it’s Sweet Stamping Pixies Challenge time!  The challenge starting today is… your favorite fairy, pixie or sprite!

Here’s Butterfly Lucy from CC Designs to charm you with a little scene I created.  I woke up at 4:19 Saturday a.m. with the idea to make the new fence die a heart fence… well…then I had to figure out how to do it because most punches punch from the bottom and would be upside down if you tried to punch from the top!  Here’s a video to show you how I did it!  I love it!  Hope you’re inspired to try it too!

You can click over to YOU Tube if you want to watch the video in High Definition. Click on the gear looking thing next to the red talkie box and it’ll let you choose HD.

My first Fence video is HERE.

A close up photo of the fence…

Butterfly Lucy is stamped with Colorbox Archival Wicked Black ink on Canson Manga Drawing heavyweight paper and colored with Distress Markers.  I stamped the Butterfly Logo with Versafine Onyx Black ink on Bazzill Dawn card-stock and cut it out with a Fiskars mini pinking scissors.

The Flower Border die is cut out of three colors of card-stock.  I leave the green together and glue the pink and yellow on top of the green.  The Grass Border die is die cut and then crimped with Quilling Creations crimper!  LOVE this fun tool!  Links below…

The three yellow butterflies flitting around the scene are an EK Success paper shapers punch… the tree limb is my favorite Leafy Branch die from CC Designs Cutters… links below.  I used the Rosie’s Roadshow cloud template, Tumbled Glass Distress ink pad and ink blending tool to make my cloud background.  I edged the papers and fence with Distress inks and the blending tool.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  oh,  this was long but I hope you had a good time!  I had fun creating this to share with you!  Hope you can click over to check out the SSPC blog too!

Curly Q Flower making video…

I used the Curly Q die to create the flowers in this Flower Pot Bouquet card HERE!  I used the super cute Grass border, Flower border and Fence dies too, HERE… I used them on this card and this card….

Sorry about the quality of this video… I changed the setting on my camera for the last few videos so they would load faster to You Tube…not realizing that smaller meant compromising the quality! boo!  I will be changing back to HD for future videos!

Hope it gives you an idea of how fun this die is… I also used it in some creative ways in this post.   LOVE it!

Thanks for stopping by!  I’ll get to work on some new stuff!  yea!

I’m sharing a video I made quick the other day…I know… I got carried away with videos…hohoho!  I wanted to show how I keep my thin metal dies… so without further ado… here’s a 2 minute quickie!

Memory Box and Poppystamps Grand Madison Window Card…

A lovely Spring day!  On the blog anyway! = )   Finally getting around to using some Memory Box and Poppystamps dies… This is the Grand Madison Window and the Echo Park 6×6 paper pad called For the Record.  I also used the Memory Box Spring Border die for the flowers behind the window.

Pretend you’re on the inside of the house looking outside…this is an adorable silhouette image from an old Stampin Up set… I bought it used… the container says Thankful Thoughts and the label on the stamp says 2003.

I scored the strip of polka dot paper every 1/8 th inch on my Martha Stewart score board… love that thing!  Then accordion folded it for the inside window treatment!  Imagine… a garden… yeah right, from a gal that can’t grow anything… hehe

One more picture that kinda shows the window plastic… I mounted the Spring border flat to the window… then used mounting squares to mount it to the piece of pattern cloud paper that I stamped on.

Cute!  It took me a couple days to think of how to finish off the front of the card after I finished the window part.  I’m happy with it!  whew! hehe

Now,  here’s a three minute video if you have time to watch. Just showing how I store my Memory Box and Poppystamps dies!  I’m thinking this would work for other dies too…even though they don’t come in envelopes you could use or make envelopes to store them the same way… the 6 x9 booklet type envys might work good…

Binder from Hobby Lobby… online HERE.
