Smile!

You can’t help yourself!  So go ahead and smile,  laugh out loud… giggle even! lol  This rosy cheeked Mushroom Girl is a new Swiss Pixie Lucy from CC Designs February stamp release.  Melt you heart sweet! I paper pieced her,  shaded with Copics and colored her hair and skin with Copics too.  Check out the super cute in the forest  circle logo stamp from the new Woodland Logos set and a new Leaves and Acorns die set… two different acorns and two different leaves… I just used one of each here… awesome!

I’m linking my Mushroom Girl card to the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 151 – I used their sketch for my card.  At Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog – it’s Anything Goes!

And here’s a front panel step card with new Swiss Pixie Woodland Lucy,  Woodland Daisy and Woodland Logos…

Here I used both acorns and both leaves from the new Leaves and Acorns die set. Notice the Daisies seed packet…the oval says Wooden…that’s Christine’s last name!  So fun!  I had to cut all those pieces out and pop them up!  I just love this card!  So earthy in colors and cute!  I made this a couple weeks ago and of course can’t remember the copics I used… oh why do I think I’ll remember… I know myself better than that!

The smile sentiment in the first card and the I’m here for  you sentiment are from a new AmyR Stamps sentiment set called Be Happy.

Here’s the inside…more from the sentiment set, another acorn AND a fabulous new border die called , Mushroom border! (I just used a couple pieces of it)

here’s another take a little from the side…

that’s it from me today.

Love that you stop in to see what I’ve been up to!  I appreciate your visit and love receiving your comments.  I’ll be stopping by soon!

A couple side shots of the Front Panel Stair-step design – more on this style card on these posts, HERE and HERE.

I inked up the Stone Wall stamp and wiped away the butterflies, flower and grass, stamped it, inked it up again and wiped away then stamped with the stamp a ma jig to position them right the two images tight up against each other.  All I had to do was draw in a few lines then…I stamped a light dot pattern from Printworks with Pumice Stone Distress ink after I colored the wall with warm gray copics. The background sky is Chipped Sapphire Distress ink applied with the Tim Holtz ink blending tool on a craft sheet.  A few light spritzes with H2O and some teeny snowflakes and fine glass glitter from the Art Glittering System.  The snow on the trees is a Snow Marker from Marvy and a little fine glass glitter again.  The chipboard Christmas pieces are from K & Co. Brenda Walton Evergreen Icons.  The border piece inside is from K & Co. Elizabeth Brownd Visions of Christmas border pack.

You’ve lost your mitten?

Only the first of November and this cute snowman has already lost a mitten!   I did find with the girls in their growing up years that when it was time to go outside we needed lots of mittens and we were glad we had radiators/hot water heat.  They always had mittens laying on them drying!  I made a front panel step card and used CC Designs Cutters dottie trim and clouds dies for snow!  I LOVE it!  I was inspired to use the clouds for snow by this card that Jay Jay created, it’s on her blog HERE.  Then the adorable NEW Mittens die to go with the adorable NEW snowman!  It embosses the lines too!  I filled them in with white pen.  Hero Arts little clear gems here and there just add so much!

oh Yes,  were just going to ask about the sentiments?  They are NEW this month too!  Snowman Sayings!  You will want them… I can here you groaning… lol!    Pure Winter FUN!

I had to use the new Tim Holtz mini tree die…it’s a great size!  whoo hoo!  Cosmo Cricket 6×6 Winter pad from last year… is it called Mitten Weather?  I edged a some of the pieces with the new Twig Distress ink from the Fall Limited Edition set in the store HERE.

It’s a Butterfly Dreams post!

Some super sweet stamps from Magnolia on my stair step card today!  The latest collection, Butterfly Dreams…they just keep getting cuter!  I also used a few Magnolia Doohickey’s dies… I’ll link to them all in the photos below.

I made this a back panel stair step.  I didn’t take time to search to see if anyone has already done this.  I didn’t like it as tall either so I did some changing.  The pattern paper is from the Webster’s Pages 6×6 pad called Spring Market/Yacht Club.  Some really neat designs in the collection… link below.

Linking up to the Just Magnolia Challenge for this week, they’re celebrating birthdays! It’s HERE!  Linking to the Wee Memories Challenge post, HERE, the challenge is “All Things Adorable”… well, that’d be Tilda and Edwin! : )

March Preview Day 2…

Meet Birthday Gretel!  Isn’t she a doll!  I love her!  The All That Scraps DT gals previewed her yesterday and today we’re showing the two new Birthday sentiments sets by Amy R. The sentiment I used is from the Best Wishes set… a very cool set!

Another new stamp in this release is a BIG Cupcake.  I decided it’d be awesome to make it pop-up when you open the card!  I love it! lol

What it looks like from the side…good thing I don’t have any cupcakes or I’d be wanting one for breakfast today!

I used the new Magnolia Doohickey Rose leaves die, , EK Success retro flower punches in medium and small, a Spellbinders Fancy tag die, 1/8 th in. grosgrain ribbon from Creative Impressions,  Nestabilities Ovals dies, and Hero Arts gemstones.

Gretel and the Big Cupcake were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, on PaperTrey Inc. card-stock and colored with Copic Sketch Markers, … pink – R81, 83, 85 … blue – B0000, 000, 00, 01 … green – YG0000, 00, 01, 03 …brown (hair/cupcake) – E40’s … skin – E0000, 000, 00, R20 (diluted with R00).  I used PaperTrey Inc. Select White Card-stock for the whole card.  All the scoring was done with the Martha Stewart Score Board.

The pattern for the Front Panel Stair Step Card is from one of my posts last year,  HERE.  The inspiration for my card being all white is from Marlene’s fabulous blog, HERE.

Over on the Papertake Weekly Challenge, HERE, the theme is Anything Goes with an option of “old” so I’m linking up…my old is the EK Success Retro flower punches.

Here’s Gretel again to say good-bye for now!
