poppystamps Potpourri Flower, Freestyle Smile, Whittle Snail Card…

You’ve got mail!  It’s always so fun to get mail! Here’s mail and a smile from this cute blushing snail! lol

I die cut the NEW Potpourri Flower Set in white and colored them with Copic Sketch Markers.  I didn’t look at any pictures for coloring…flying by the seat of my pants again! haha

I layered the NEW ps Penelope Pinpoint Frame on top of Taylored Expressions Lemon Meringue cardstock A2 size panel.  Then I adhered those two, to a purple from the Memory Box Twilight Purple 6×6 cardstock pad.

First I laid the flowers out down the left side of the panel from the top.  Took a picture of them with my phone and put the snail down to see how it looked, it was too close to the right side of the card!  I didn’t like it there!  So I picked the flowers up with a piece of press and seal and reversed them to the right side bottom corner instead.  Much better!

Then I die cut the NEW ps Freestyle Smile all in white, it was ok, so I die cut the top in black, too bold, so I die cut it in purple, nah, so I die cut it in yellow and that was it!  I’m a terrible decision maker! lol

The sentiment is from ps Whittle Wild Animal Sentiments stamp set.  Stamped in the MISTI with versamark ink and heat embossed with Lawn Fawn white embossing powder.

I glued the flowers down, then the snail and sentiments with mounting tape.  Then I pulled up a couple of the flowers to put one on her head and one right close to the body.

I added yellow Fairy Gems last.

I forgot to talk about the snail!  It’s die cut in kraft cardstock and edges inked with Gathered Twigs Distress ink and a mini ink blending tool.  I went over the mouth, eyes and added eyelashes with a micro black fine point pen.

It’s a bright card and more fun in real life.  I like it!  That’s saying a lot of me cuz I don’t love yellow and purple! lol

It’s a rainy, dreary day here so we need bright!  Have a good one anyway!  ttul!

Birch Press Design Dainty Rose and Leaves Slimline Card…

Hi cardmakers and friends…I’m so glad I can grow flowers with paper!  I had fun die cutting and layering these together. There are marks on the cuts so you know where to put the layers!  WOW!  That helps so much!  I use Tombow Mono Multi glue.  My tip for using it is to keep the container laying down at all times.  Do you have any tips to share for gluing?  I’d love to hear them!

I cut a cardbase, 7 x 8 ½ inches and scored the 7 in side at 3 ½ inches for this Slimline Card.

I die cut a white cardstock panel with the Memory Box Wrapped Stitched Slim die set.

Hello is diecut in the NEW Memory Box Black Glossy cardstock with the Birch Press Design Hello Topper die.  I didn’t use the backer that comes with it but I need to, it’s cool!

The NEW Birch Press Design Dainty Rose and Leaves Contour Layers I die cut with four of the Memory Box cardstock 6×6 pads.  I was brave with color today! lol

I also used the NEW Birch Press Design Tiny Tuft Flowers and Leaves Contour Layers die set.  Die cut in the same cardstock colors.

I used mounting tape behind the roses and everything else is glued directly to the panel.

My pictures feel huge but I sized them 200 pix smaller than I usually do. eek! lol  I hope they show up on your screen ok! The first four are the same size as the card when I hold the card up to my computer screen.

Thank you so much for stopping by and enjoying this touch of Spring!  It’s supposed to get up to 70˚ here today!  YAY!  ttul!

Impression Obsession Chicken Birthday Card…

Hi everyone!  Just ‘chick’en in on the blog scene! We celebrated middle daughter’s birthday last week… her current flock of new chickens is white!  Her first flock was a variety.

The sentiment on the front and the one on the inside are from Printworks Collection.

This super cute hen and chick are from Impression Obsession and designed by Anna Wight. I cut them in natural white linen cardstock and inked the edges with Gathered Twigs Distress ink and the mini ink blending tool. The red and oranges pieces are scraps of cardstock.

I was digging through 6×6 pattern paper pads with our granddaughter Anya and saw this old Cosmo Cricket pad called Early Bird and went with it!  So cute!

A couple stitched rectangle die cuts and everything adhered and it was done!  Only took me 15 minutes to decide what color button to use! lol

Thanks so much for stopping by!  ttul!

NEW Memory Box Riverbank Large Layered Blooms and Exquisite Leaf Dies Card…

Hi everyone! We’re far from flowers blooming in Iowa today…woke up to ice and now a little snow! haha

Paper flowers are always in season though!  YAY!

and this one is so pretty and easy to make!  It’s really a clean and simple card with Memory Box 6×6 cardstock pads.  I used the 3 yellows from the Sunny Orange collection pad… prettier in real life!  The green is from the Green Lush pad.

I edged everything with a little Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and the mini ink blending tool.

When I glued the three petal sections together, I laid them on top of the envelope picture for placement… that sure works slick.  If I hadn’t thought of that last year, I would be fiddling for hours with placement. Insert eye rolling!

This is an A2 size card.

I die cut the Exquisite Leaf Frame, the three leaf image and single leaf image from the Exquisite Leaf Set for this card.  Gorgeous, gorgeous dies!!!  I love these leaves!  It’s gonna be fun playing with all the new dies.

I used a sentiment from the NEW poppystamps Colorful Life stamp set.  White heat embossed on Taylored Expressions Oreo cardstock.  Another fabulous set full of great sentiments!  Wishing you Happiness on your special day….enjoy each Joyful moment…your sweet smile can change the world…Big Hugs…Hello Sunshine and tons more!

I die cut Hello Lovely with one of the rectangles from the poppystamps contempo Greetings set.

I think that’s everything!  A little Spring in your day today and this yellow is so pretty and I’m not a yellow person! haha

Thank you for stopping by and for all your encouraging words!  I got my Valentines all done for the family and I’ll be posting them soon… that’s where I’ve been!  We had our annual Valentine, pizza party Saturday evening. Super fun!  Whoever wants to, makes ATCs and we pass them out.  Lilli was super creative and made cookie boxes!  So fun and yummy!

I’ll be back soon with more NEW from Memory Box, poppystamps and Birch Press Designs!

Memory Box Floral Collage and Birch Press Design Crystal Lingo Cards…

Hello everyone!  Here’s to flowers blooming everywhere!

I combined some dies for this card…nothing stamped on this one!  I LOVE this Jumbled Line Collage die…new from Memory Box.

The flowers are from the release before this last one.  I used the Layered Daisies, Layered Fresh Flowers and Thank You Posh Script dies.

Five of the new Memory Box Fairy Jewels and two of the Memory Box 6×6 cardstock pads.  I love that there are three shades for each of the 4 colors in the pads.  I used Berry Red and Lush Green.

The Jumbled Line Collage lends itself to any card size.  I made this one in the Mini Slim Size, 3 ½ by 6 inches.

Oh the leaves and berry branches are from the poppystamps Woven Basket Pop Up Easel Set.

My next card is Bright too! lol

Here’s a simple slim line card… I ink blended five colors of Distress Oxide onto a piece of cardstock using Taylored Expressions Ink blender brushes.  I let it dry overnight and heat embossed with white powder the slim line size stamp from Birch Press Design, Crystal Lingo.

The Happy and Birthday To You stamps are both from the same set and there are dies to cut out the big words.

I colored HAPPY with Copic Sketch Markers.

I used the Memory Box Slim Basic Rectangle Layers dies to cut the stamped panel and the black layer.

It kinda reminds me of a box of crayons! lol

Some beautiful days this week here in Iowa.  We live in a big old house with two Central air units… the one for the 2nd and 3rd floor pooped out on us Tuesday. ugh ugh ugh.  I like being cool!  So, here’s hoping we can get a new unit in fast!  It could be challenging, especially sleeping.

I’ll get off and figure out what I need to do next without getting hot! lol

Some of the supplies I used to make these cards… and while I have you here… look at the June Clearance SALE at Scrapbook.com!  I found some things I needed for birthdays!  yay!  Tons of good stuff!
