Shabby Chic “style” Mother card…

Oh,  I had some die cut creating time early this a.m.!  I absolutely LOVE how the CCD Cutters Squiggles die looks for the corner under the CCD Rolling Rose die and CCD Mistletoe die!  Then I used the Curly Q border die along with my Perfect Layering Tools to make the flower paper border and sentiment panel.  The pretty CCD Butterflies dies are three layers glued together so they are a little heavier and really stand out IRL!  Another card I wish I could just run across the street to show you!  = )

I love the touch of clear rhinestones everywhere… the pattern paper is from a Crate paper 6×6 pad. I can’t find this one to link to,  so I linked to a new pad that is really neat from them.  The little flourish tab thing is from an EK Success border punch… I just used a section of it!

Thanks all for visiting my blog again…I love the stamping community I feel such a part of on the WWW!  I just saw there is a stamp convention in Ohio next weekend… anyone going?

ttul!

Umbrella Lula and how I store my thin metal dies…

For today’s card,  I used Umbrella Lula and colored her with Promarkers and Flexmarkers… scroll down to my post from yesterday for  the color information.  See that cute paper pieced umbrella?  That’s a new die and the umbrella stamp and sentiments are from the Umbrella Logos set!  Very cute!

I’m sharing a video I made quick the other day…I know… I got carried away with videos…hohoho!  I wanted to show how I keep my thin metal dies… so without further ado… here’s a 2 minute quickie!

Memory Box and Poppystamps Grand Madison Window Card…

A lovely Spring day!  On the blog anyway! = )   Finally getting around to using some Memory Box and Poppystamps dies… This is the Grand Madison Window and the Echo Park 6×6 paper pad called For the Record.  I also used the Memory Box Spring Border die for the flowers behind the window.

Pretend you’re on the inside of the house looking outside…this is an adorable silhouette image from an old Stampin Up set… I bought it used… the container says Thankful Thoughts and the label on the stamp says 2003.

I scored the strip of polka dot paper every 1/8 th inch on my Martha Stewart score board… love that thing!  Then accordion folded it for the inside window treatment!  Imagine… a garden… yeah right, from a gal that can’t grow anything… hehe

One more picture that kinda shows the window plastic… I mounted the Spring border flat to the window… then used mounting squares to mount it to the piece of pattern cloud paper that I stamped on.

Cute!  It took me a couple days to think of how to finish off the front of the card after I finished the window part.  I’m happy with it!  whew! hehe

Now,  here’s a three minute video if you have time to watch. Just showing how I store my Memory Box and Poppystamps dies!  I’m thinking this would work for other dies too…even though they don’t come in envelopes you could use or make envelopes to store them the same way… the 6 x9 booklet type envys might work good…

Bloomin’ … using a stamp-a-ma-jig

Fabulous NEW stamps from Printworks Collection, HERE!  I stamped on watercolor paper and colored with Printworks stamp pads/ink.  Squeeze the lid to pool the ink on the lid making the lid the paint palette.  Pick up the ink with a wet paint brush and color away… the trick for me is… how much water to use! eek!  I need to practice more!

The inside… a wonderful New PW sentiment honoring Mother’s! (I added the flower, its from PW too)

Here’s a 3 min. video on how I masked and positioned the images together….

Sweet Stamping Pixies Challenge #2 – Kraft…

Second Monday of the month makes it time for Sweet Stamping Pixies Challenge time!

Along with using your pixie/fairy/sprite stamps this month,  the challenge is to use kraft on your creation too!

I used this sweet Magnolia Fairy Tale Tilda stamp and finally some of the Magnolia Doohickey Dies that I’ve been collecting!  I do love these thinner dies and what a variety we have to choose from anymore!  Wonderful!

The stitching lines stamp I used is from a clear stamp set by Sandylion and the sentiment is from Savvy stamps.  I used Broken China and the ink blending tool around the circle.  Diamond stickles on her wings.

I stamped Tilda on Papertrey Ink select white card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic Sketch markers.

We had family birthdays yesterday so I’ll have another birthday card to share tomorrow…

Hope you get a chance to click over to the Sweet Stamping Pixies challenge and play along!  A great Magnolia stamp will go to the winner, sponsored by Magnolia-licious!

I’m entering my card in the following challenges…

Just Magnolia – Anything Goes

By the Cute and Girly – Once Upon a time

Simon Says Stamp – Use your favorite tool (mine would be dies)

Flutterby Wednesday – Open

Crafting When We Can – Things With Wings
