Memory Box Large Vintage Sled Tag and Birch Press Design Pinpoint Snowflake…

Sleds always take me back to my youth and so many nights of going to Fairmont Park for sledding and ice skating.  The city closed off the perfect street for sledding.  So much fun!

This new die is perfect for cards and tags a like.  I used the Christmas Plaid paper pad paper and Christmas Quotes stamps and coordinating dies.

The mistletoe sprigs are from the new Mistletoe Wreath die set.  I cut two, added baby pearls and twine.

I posted a snowflake ornament on Instagram not realizing the die was discontinued.  So I decided to use this new die from Birch Press Design to make the same type… the pinpoint design of this Pinpoint Snowflake die makes it really easy to do… you don’t even have to score the center lines, you just fold right on the dots!  I used six die cuts in white cardstock and ink blended on the edges after it was glued together.

So pretty… I need to get it hung on the tree and see if the light shines through the dots!

Not the best pictures… my camera settings got off and I didn’t realize it. ugh.

and  little video…

I think I’m done getting the Christmas tree up…I want to get the garland on the stairway still…eek!  How are you doing?

Thanks for stopping by!

Three Cards with Birch Press Design Stamps and Dies…

Hi everyone!  I had some festive cardmaking time yesterday…no plan…just winging it! I started with the teal-ish looking ornament card using the new BPD Christmas Ornament and Labels stamp set and coordinating die set.  This could be made up so many different ways!  Here I did some oxide and regular distress ink blending in Peacock Feathers, Speckled Egg and Evergreen Bough.

First I heat embossed the stamp in Ranger Detail Gold embossing powder on white cardstock. Then I ink blended. Then I die cut the ornament from that panel. Stamped/heat embossed the label on gold metallic cardstock and die cut it.  The greens are from a die included in the coordinating die set. So is the ornament topper.  There is a stamp for the topper too but I missed stamping it first!

All three cards are A2 size and mailable.

Then I got out the Delicate Pastel Glitter 6×6 cardstock pad.

Birch Press Design is known for their layering dies… this one is the NEW Mini Snowflake Frame and I used all three layers in the three pink glitter colors in this cardstock pad. Glued them together and cut the rectangles with the Baiscs set.

The silver cardstock is a matte silver but it looks super gray here…it’s really prettier IRL!  Like the close up picture.

I die cut the BPD Joy Honey Script die… the bottom layer is three glued together.

This one, I just used Layer C from the BPD Mini Snowflake Frames and die cut it in the silver from the Polished Foil 6×6 Pad.  I glued it to a black glossy cardstock panel that I layered on to another layer of the silver foil paper.

I had a scrap of the glossy black so I glued the die cut Big Peace Sugar Script die to it and layered it over the top with mounting tape.Very CAS but be careful with your glue and glossy cardstocks!  eek! (I didn’t check on this Peace die before I made the card.  I don’t see that it’s available anymore, there are other peace dies that would work just as well!)

It’s a very striking card in person.  I was thinking while working on this that I’ve always done some gold/silver/glossy black cards in the past. What a pretty combo… I need to do it again this year too! lol

I started decorating a little around the house for company over the weekend. I love Christmas and being with family and friends…what I need right now!

God bless your Thanksgiving this year. I am thankful even in the midst of hard. We’ll just keep papercrafting ok?! ❤

Memory Box Charming Snowman Collage Card…

As I started thinking about making up this snowman, I knew I wanted to use plaid! Snowmen always melt my heart. ❤

I started with the new Memory Box Charming Snowman Collage and die cut it three times in white cardstock.  I colored the top snowman layer with Copic Sketch markers and added a little white gel pen. I glued the three snowman outlines together and inlaid them back into just one of the panels that I die cut with Memory Box Rectangle Basics set. His nose is three layers of the carrot cut.  The eyes are colored in with a black glaze pen.

I hope the picture explains it better than I did with words!  😀

I die cut the Memory Box Pointy Pine Needle Sprigs from TE cardstock for the bottom left corner.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from  poppystamps Christmas Quotes stamp set and coordinating die.

The plaid and dot papers are from Memory Box.  I’ll link everything below. Holler if I forgot anything!

How is your Christmas card creating coming a long? hehe Hard to believe it’s almost Thanksgiving! Thanks for stopping by!

Memory Box NEW Pine Tree, Wooded Glen and Little Orchard Collage Dies and Snowmen Card…

Hi everyone!  I have a card to share today using some of the new dies from the newest Memory Box release.  I tried to achieve a tunnel card look but thinner! hehe  I kinda succeeded.

Next time I think I need to add another ¼ inch crease on each side though.  Here’s a picture of the fold I used.

This piece is 5 ¾ inches wide, 5 ½ inches tall.  Next time I make it, I’m going to make it 6 ¼ inches wide.  This 5 ¾ in. piece has 3  ¼ in. scores, then it’s 4¼ in. then 3 more ¼ in. scores.

For 6 ¼ inches wide, you would have 4  ¼ inch scores, then 4¼ in. and 4 more ¼ in. scores.  I hope this makes sense…I will keep you posted it how it works!

Here’s what the ends look like.  A2 size.

I glued the panels to the folds and the top Pine Tree Collage die cut glues on top of the last ¼ in. fold on both sides.

I used the snowmen from the Snowmen and cloud from the Snowmen Snowglobe die.

Aren’t the cute!  I used Sakura Black and White glaze pens to embellish them and the green, red and brown are Copic markers.

The blue background is Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide ink that I brushed on with TE blending brushes. Spattered with water, white and black acrylic inks

Season’s Greetings message is from the new Christmas Greetings stamp set.  So many neat sentiments and varying sizes too in this set.

That’s it for today…thank you all so much for your cards and emails and comments.  I had no idea how much family and friends carry you when you’re suffering. I appreciate it.  Makes me teary talking about it and I know if you were here you’d cry with me!  ❤
