Birdie Brown’s Scarecrow…

PamSparksBBScarecrowFront

Here’s a cute fellow for you!  Awhile back Torico/aka Birdie Brown, posted this freebie image called ‘hey pumpkin’ and I just knew I had to color it up!  You can get it HERE.

Printed him out on Hammermill color copy cover card-stock and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.  Sorry I don’t remember the colors exactly…laid on my desk too long! ugh!  I know the overalls are the B90’s and the pumpkin is YR02, 04 and E07!  I know I tried to give him the Raggedy Andy look! That’s why the light complexion.  Do you still have a Raggedy Ann doll?  I have a big one but wish I had the small one too!

Bella BLVD pattern papers, Impression Obsession leaves,  Memory Box tree and clouds… he’s sitting on the tree,  I made it into a log. : )  Everything is edged with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and the ink blending tool.  The ‘hi’ is an old Cuttlebug die.  I think it came with the Olivia Alphabet but not positive!

It’s Fall for sure…sun’s out today but the chill is in the air!  I’m surprised this guy isn’t shivering with his bare feet! lol  Well,  I don’t think I’ll go rake leaves. ha!  That would be too ambitious!

oh yak, yak, almost forgot!  How could I?!  yes… I used the Perfect Layers Tools again!  Love them for matting/framing…perfect results!  Love that!  A real time saver!

Thanks for stopping by… I have some other stuff started but good grief… I’m terrible at getting anything finished these days!  Wish me luck! hohoho  and a good dose of ambition! : )

I used the Perfect Layers Tools to mat my stamped and colored image… 1/16 in,  1/8 in and 1/2 in rulers.  Crisp and clean mats every time!  I ‘heart’ them!

PamSparksFallPumpkinChairMMEClose

I had fun incorporating dies and other elements into the design of the card.  Lovin’ the leaves die from Impression Obsession…the thanks die from Memory Box…burlap from Starlitstudio…stamp from Serendipity (colored with Copics) and the yarn is from the stash of old threads we used to use to embellish tags…can’t think of what we called it!  Most came wrapped on cards…several different ones. The First Class and cancellation lines are old stamps from Hero Arts.

The card is 6×6 and mounted on a 6×6 card base… I know… kraft again! hehe

Six blogs to visit for this hop…enjoy and comment to win!

Memory Box hello FALL…

PamSparksHelloFALLFront2.700

Have you heard?  Fall card contest going on the Memory Box Flickr page HERE!

I’m sharing this card on the Memory Box blog today HERE … I stamped the Autumn Trees stamp with black pigment ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder on pool card-stock.

PamSparksHelloFallClose700

I love the Perfect Pumpkins die…I cut them in Jack O Lantern card-stock and used Copic markers E47 on the stem and a little YR12 on the lines.

I die cut the hello Script die four times and glued them together to make them sturdier and then glued directly to the card.

FALL is die cut from the Parker Upper Alphabet set one time and then I used thin black mounting squares cut in strips to mount the letters to the card.

I used the 1/8th inch Perfect Layers Ruler to mat the black card-stock behind the Pool piece and then layered it to an A-2 Crimson notecard.

Hope my hello FALL card has inspired you to get creating with Memory Box!  Hope to see your creations linked up on the Flickr page!

Memory Box Addison Ornament…

PamSparksAddison675

I love a pretty, new snowfall…it’s always so bright outside until the snow melts.  Just really cheers up the drab of Winter.  How about this bright Lagoon color with white and a touch of silver and gems. A little unusual but very festive!

PamSparksAddisonClose

The small bow from Precious Snowflakes die tops the Addison Ornament Background die.  I used the Sussex Snowflake die (cut twice) from a white notecard, behind the ornament and the label die from the Peaceful Snowflake Frame die set mounted on top of the ornament.  I stamped the label with the all is Calm, all is Bright stamp.  I just inked up the ‘all is Bright’ part of the sentiment.

PamSparksAddisonSide675

Layered onto a piece of white woodgrain card-stock, then to  Core’dinations Glitter silk silver cardstock (you can see what this card looks like HERE, links to purchase below) I cut with the Perfect layers tools 1/16th inch tool (link in the sidebar or below) and then on to a  Lagoon A-2 Notecard.

Memory Box and Poppystamps Christmas in the City…

PamSparksCityGlobeTake2.700

I know… Christmas again?!!!  yes… tomorrow… tomorrow won’t be Christmas cards!!!  I hope! lol

You have to love these mini snowmen though!  So cute to tuck in a scene!

PamSparksCityGlobeClose600

Can you see them?  One in front of the NEW Memory Box City Globe stamp, hatless… brrrrr …then two out front.  I used the Poppystamps Pine Border die cut in MB Dill cardstock too.  I cut off a few trees and placed them with the hatless snowman and then a piece out front with the two more.  (three different hats and four snowmen on the die)

The City Globe stamp is inked with black pigment ink and clear embossed, behind a panel with a circle cut out of it, then two cuts of the NEW MB Fabulous Holly Wreath die glued on the circle panel.

It’s Christmas Time in the City is a NEW sentiment stamp from MB and comes with a little holly stamp on the end of it.  I inked the sentiment with Versafine Black ink and the holly with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copics and added Christmas Red Stickles to the berries.

Red twine and Red Glitter Domes or Red Pearls to finish it off!  Oh, wouldn’t a jingle bell be cute tied on the bow?!!!  An A-2 size card, just right for mailing!  Use a piece of that really thin foam like packaging sheet over the front, inside the envelope, to help keep the envelope from puncturing while going through the postal machines.

PamSparksCityGlobeSide700
I love the freshness of this card… the green against the white… the candy cane sweetness from the twine.  Love this new stamp… it’s great with the MB snow globe dies too!

Happy Tuesday and I’m off to get ready for tomorrow’s blog skip with Perfect Paper Crafting and Operation Write Home.  See you tomorrow!  Thanks for Looking!  ‘preciate it!  Have a good day!
