Birthday card, SFYTT and a winner!!!

Hi everyone!  Thank you all for your wonderful comments on the giveaway post! and all your comments all year long!!  So fun to hear from you all and I failed to get replies sent this time!  My computer has the craziest problem right now and I’ve been wasting too much time trying to figure it out on my own.  I think I better just take it to the store! ugh.  Of all things,  MUTE is stuck on!  So I can’t watch the videos of our grandkids or stamping videos!  My videos won’t work in iPhoto either! No sound at all!  Have any of you ever had this happen?

ok – now that I got the complaining out of the way….

I really did make this card for the challenge – I had my computer open to the sketch, made the flowers and look where I ended up!  I’m still linking up though because I played!  : )

PamSparksRCPetalsNPosies700

I used the Petals ‘N Posies stamp and die sets, Roundabout Additions stamp set, Memory Box stitched circle die and Perfect Layers Mini Rulers and Mat. (link in sidebar – be sure to use my code if you shop)

PamSparksRCPetalsNPosiesClose

I used Colorbox Chalk inks for the leaves and flowers, Pink Pastel, Rouge, Lime Pastel and Deep Green.  Black ink for the flower centers is Versafine Onyx Black.  I inked up the birthday wishes stamp with Versamark and embossed it with Ranger Detail Embossing powder.

The card is top folding and 5 1/2 inches square.

and Washi tape!  Two different black patterns.  The dot one is from K & Company, the smash book line and the other I don’t know the brand…sorry about that.

Memory Box – Make a Wish Candles…

PamSparksWishCandles700

Hi everyone!  I made a birthday card using the NEW Make a Wish Candles die set.

I cut the largest candle dies in white cardstock and colored each one with Copic markers and the Clear Wink of Stella Brush Marker.  I used V20, 22, 25, 28, BG11, 32, 34, B00, 01, 02, 04 for the candles,  YR02, 04, 07, 18, 23 for the outer flame and R02, 05, 08 for the center of the flame.  White pen on the embossed lines of the candles.

I made the big splats on a white A2 card-base with Wild Honey Distress Stain and colored them with Clear Wink of Stella Brush Marker after they dried.

I cut ‘happy’ from the NEW Share the Happiness die set three times in black, glued them together with Tombow Mono Multi glue and colored it with Clear Wink Stella Brush Marker.

I mounted the candles to the card-base with 3L mounting squares and glued happy directly to the candles.

The birthday word came from the Happy Birthday Special Combo rubber stamp.  I stamped in Versafine black ink and trimmed around the word. Mounted it to the card with 3L mounting squares.

I love the splats behind the flame! Kinda like a birthday sparkler! lol

Memory Box Open Studio dies…

PamSparksBannerILoveYou630

Hi everyone! Sharing another LOVE card with you on this pleasant Sunday in January!

I started out by cutting three of the NEW Open Studio Shaker Rectangle Frame dies and gluing them together with a narrow line of Tombow Mono Multi glue for the white frame.

Using the NEW Open Studio dies, A Lovely Smile, All About the Love and Amazing You dies I created the sentiment.

A heart from the NEW Open Studio set Cherub Hearts was trimmed a bit and glued to the frame.

Then I made the banner from the NEW Open Studio Banner Parade die set I love this set!  So many ways to be creative with it! Cut three times, layered together with mono multi glue and stuck on to the card with Scrapbook Adhesives mounting squares.

The hearts were all cut in red from the Banner Parade set also.

I edged the top folding A2 size kraft cardbase with Gathered Twigs Distress ink and the ink blending tool.

That’s it!  A CAS valentine to get you in the mood for ‘love’! haha
