Daisy Knitting…so cute!

I can hear those needles clicking!  Two of our daughters knit and they make gorgeous things!  When I saw this image I loved it!  wonder what I was thinking though… none of our three daughters have blonde hair!   This is dear Daisy, from Marianne Designs Don and Daisy clear stamp line.

I used the Perfect Layers Rulers and matted everything in sight, just cuz I can, easily anymore!  LOVE them!  This ad is so fun to see the before and after!  It’s linky if you want to click over to the site and see more about it!  Some of you have watched my video where I’m using the rulers… it’s HERE.

The scissors die is from Marianne Designs also… I cut it out of silver mirror card-stock… love that shiny stuff!  It worked so neat!  I poked a hole and added a screw brad… it looks real!  I linked to JoannaSheen.com and the price exchanges out to $6.22 and that includes shipping!   Not sure where to send you for the mirror card-stock…maybe Marco’s paper.com?

I stamped Daisy with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch markers.  I used one of the new colors even!  BG 57!

I finally used a couple of the first Memory Box dies they came out with last year.  The button border and the button set.  Very fun!  I did stamp the dotted circles on them from an old clear set I have from Carolee’s Creations.  I layered the individual buttons on top of the button border die… they MATCH!  awesome!  The pattern paper is October Afternoon Farmhouse pad, the button card paper is from that pad also and the thread top embellishment is from Pink Paislee… I think it’s called Vintage Vogue but not completely sure about that.  I will try to find them to link up!

I’m linking my card to the Simon Says Stamp Wed. Challenge blog… 3 Different Papers

Have fun creating whatever you’re up to!  I’ve been attempting to organize a bit… ugh… why does it seem worse?!  It has to get better!  At least my desk has all the Christmas debris thrown away… you know, the die cuts you didn’t use etc. hehe

Thanks for stopping by!  I love hearing from you and seeing what you’re up to!

Meet Ice Skating Don!  Isn’t he the coolest…just gliding along without a care in the world!  This is going to be a birthday card so that’s why I used the number paper from one of the newer My Minds Eye 6×6 paper pads.  Can you keep up with paper pads these days?  eek!  as soon as I get what I think is new, there are a bunch more new ones out!  I can’t keep up with them all and I’m gonna have to wallpaper the outhouse with them! lol NOT! lol

I forgot to take a photo of the tag… it says “Love you much” and it’s from Printworks new Love/Valentine release… I’ll link it up below too.

The fence (super cute bird and birdhouse too) and tree are new dies from Marianne Design and the ice skater is new from Marianne Design’s Don and Daisy clear stamp line!  They are so fun!  You’ll be seeing more of them from me!  Don is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch markers.  Hair – E30, 23, 25, 27, 29,  Skin – E000, 00, 21 and R20,  Head wrap and sweater – Y21, 26, 28, Scarf and Leg Warmers – BG70,72,75,  Jeans – B90’s. Marianne Design World Design Team…

I’m so excited and honored to be a new member of the Marianne Design World Design Team! I love to be challenged and using her dies, stamps and supplies to create with is going to be great fun! So….here’s hoping I can inspire and challenge you at the same time!

Today I’m posting two cards. A Clean and Simple card with the new tree Creatables die LR0203 from the January release.  I LOVE scene dies! = )  I wish I hadn’t used such dark brown card-stock …if you watch the video you’ll see the detail of the die better! The sentiment stamp is C2398 from Printworks.

Here’s a video to show how I layered the tree.

Then my second card is a Don and Daisy stamp from Marianne Design that I colored and matted on a Marianne Design Craftables Rectangle die set CR1202, the black dot ribbon is from Marianne Design and the Elegant Brocade stamp is from Hero Arts.  SOOOO CUTE!  Don is so sweet to carry Daisy over the threshold! hehe

They just make a gal smile!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Weekend to you!

Tree Trimmers Jilly and Daphne

The one time I strung cranberries and popcorn, I saved it.  It’s amazing!  It really does keep!  I still have the strings… it was a big deal…have any of you done it?

These cutie Fairwees are having fun and snacking at the same time!  Typical of kids…gotta eat all the time! lol  Tree Trimmers Jilly and Daphne are part of the CC Designs Sweet November October release.  Five adorable images and you can see what the ATS Design team gals did in the Tuesday October Review post on the ATS blog, HERE.

I was hoping you’d be able to see the sparkle on their dresses in this close up… I colored the dresses and wings with a clear Copic glitter pen.  I also colored the branches with copic markers so they wouldn’t just be a die cut.  Some little red berries and it’s festive!

The pattern paper I used is from a card pad that Michaels used to carry by K & Co.  It’s rather old…but I still like it!  The YG 61, 63 and 67 Copcs matched up great with it.  I used Always Artichoke card-stock from SU to cut the branches. The branches are a Marianne Designs die and I order mine from JoannaSheen.com.  Bakers twine from Martha Stewart… old too… the lighter weight stuff.

I’m linking my card to Marianne’s Design Divas Challenge blog… dying to die cut and  to Christmas Inspirations Challenge blog… use punches or die cuts.

Thanks for stopping by… be sure to stop by the ATS blog to see the other gals work…so charming!

Mia’s Ornament…

Here’s what I’ve been up to the last couple days…new stamps…new dies…an idea… a card!  This cutie Sweet November Mia’s Ornament was so much fun to color!  She’s part of the October CC Designs release.  She reminds me so much of one of our granddaughter’s that just loved looking at her reflection in the glass balls on the Christmas tree last year.

Mia is stamped with Memento tuxedo Black ink on  Beckett Expression Super Smooth 80# card-stock and colored with Copic Sketch markers.  Her hair is E30, E15, E08, E18 and E19.  Her dress is a crazy combo of blues trying to match the paper.  I started with B32, that wasn’t right, so I colored over the top with B000, not any better so I went to the BG’s 000, 00 01, 02, 05.  Well,  sometimes it goes crazy!  lol! The top of the ornament is colored in with silver gel pen.

Here’s a close up of the Christmas Bulb border die…new from CC Designs Cutters this month… I LOVE it!  I cut it out of green…then cut the bulbs out of white and colored them with B or BG 0000 and 000,  can’t remember which now…sorry but either would be good!  Then added the little mark of white gel pen… cut the bulbs off and glued them on top of the green strand.  I just cut one at a time and glue it and then cut another etc.  It really goes fast.  I took a black multiliner pen and added the lines to the base of the bulbs.  The pine branch is a new die from Marianne Designs.. I order mine from Joanna Sheen.com in the UK.  I love their service…postage is included in the price. The pattern paper is from SEI a couple years old or so….It’s so pretty and I still have a couple 6×6 pieces left! woohoo!

I’m linking up to the ABC Christmas Challenge – they want to see you use your “unused stash” gotta love that!  On the Christmas Stampin All Year Long Challenge blog the theme is “sparkly stuff”… it’s hard to see in my photos but the fancy swirls on my paper are all glittery/sparkly/pretty! On Marianne’s Design Divas Challenge blog… dying to die cut and  to Christmas Inspirations Challenge blog… use punches or die cuts.

The sentiment is stamped with Versafine Onyx black ink.  I wanted the sentiment to be long instead of two lines so I used the little square pad and just inked up  “Christmas makes”  first…stamped it with the stamp a ma jig… embossed it with clear embossing powder then cleaned the stamp and inked up just the “Magic happen”, stamped it with the stamp a ma jig and embossed it with clear embossing powder also.

HERE is the card I made in 2009 with this same pattern paper… just might be my favorite copic coloring ever!

I think stamping and Copics make magic happen too!  I’ve met so many wonderful stampers that I wouldn’t have met otherwise! Makes me smile right a long with Mia!  Have a great weekend and talk to you again soon!
