Meet Ice Skating Don! Isn’t he the coolest…just gliding along without a care in the world! This is going to be a birthday card so that’s why I used the number paper from one of the newer My Minds Eye 6×6 paper pads. Can you keep up with paper pads these days? eek! as soon as I get what I think is new, there are a bunch more new ones out! I can’t keep up with them all and I’m gonna have to wallpaper the outhouse with them! lol NOT! lol
I forgot to take a photo of the tag… it says “Love you much” and it’s from Printworks new Love/Valentine release… I’ll link it up below too.
The fence (super cute bird and birdhouse too) and tree are new dies from Marianne Design and the ice skater is new from Marianne Design’s Don and Daisy clear stamp line! They are so fun! You’ll be seeing more of them from me! Don is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch markers. Hair – E30, 23, 25, 27, 29, Skin – E000, 00, 21 and R20, Head wrap and sweater – Y21, 26, 28, Scarf and Leg Warmers – BG70,72,75, Jeans – B90’s. The tree is the one I stamped in this video HERE.
Everything is edged with Antique Linen and Walnut Stain Distress ink using the ink blending tools.
Linking up to the Papertake Weekly challenge blog…anything goes with an option of adding a heart/hearts… I have a little one on the tag! yea!

Hi Pam! Fantastic card and these rulers are fantastic too. I just bought a set 2 weeks ago and placed an order for 2 more sets. (one for back up and one for my daughter) That’s how much I love these tools. You did a great job on your video too! You’re amazing!
Hugs, Cathy-Lynn
Love your winter scene! And aren’t you glad you got the Perfect Layers? Told you that you would absolutely love it!
Oh WOW. Thanks Pam for the tute on the ruler. Me thinks Me needs 1 of them there thangs, yup, yup. You have no idea how many cards I have messed up because of the uneven boarders.
It is also great to see how you cunstruct you layouts for a card.
Thanks so much again
Hugs

oops!!!! I forgot to mention how much I loved your card. Dopey me.
Hello Pam, your card is sooo sweet. I love this little image, and your beautiful layers. I love those rulers too… CAthy-Lynn (comment above me) contaminated me! and have used the ever since I got my set. I used to loose patience at paper cutters, blaming them for not being able to layer perfectly! Now… I don’t anymore.
I love this fence diecut… I think I told you I have this thing about fence, doors and windows LOL. beautiful papers.
well a very lovely card! Hugs.
LOVE my perfect layers rulers! I’ve had mine for 3 years now. I bought them when they first came out because I’m such a purr-fectionist. 🙂 One of the things I do for the thinner paper is I pick up the edge of it a little bit to catch the raised edge… 🙂
This card is just awesome! I love the fence behind him! i can just see him flying by. And once again, you have used papers I never would have thought of & they are just perfect. I need to think outside the box more. I watched your video & would you believe, a friend bought me these rulers when I first started making cards & I used them all the time. I had forgotten I even had them, but now you can bet they will be pulled back out!
Hi Pam, love your card , it’s absolutely gorgeous, love the dies too. Great tutorial on the Perfect layers tool, they look so good, will have to save my pennies and get them. Thanks for sharing all your great advise, really appreciated.
Hugs Cheryl
Hi Pam,
This card is so cute. He sure is having fun all by himself. Thanks so much for your tutorial on the mat cutting. Something clicked in my head cause it looked familiar. So I went searching my craft room and finally found 2 rulers like that. But they are 1/4 and 3/8 inches. I had bought them over 12 years ago when I was going to make some quilts for my grandaughters!! Never used them at all. But I will now. And of course, I need a few more different sizes!! ha ha..
Thanks again,
hugs

I love the sweet scene you created here Pam! So fun and darling and the perfect “boy” card which I struggle with sometimes. Also, I loved your tutorial and hearing your sweet voice my dear! 😉
Those rulers look very interesting and I am considering picking them up. Did you also get the cutting mat and cutting tool as well from this shop? Do you change the blades often. I never have success with cutting knives but I wonder if it’s the brands I’ve bought. Thanks Pam! hugs, Angela
Super cute card! Love your coloring. It’s phenomenal!
This is really terrific! Love that sweet skater and whole winter feel to your fantastic card!
I don’t know what I like best – the darling image, or the wonderful tool for cutting! I’m very clumsy with a blade, so if (when) I order this, you will have to hook me up with lots of bandaids…lol! Your card is adorable! That skater Don is so sweet. Love his rosy cheeks! Thanks for sharing 🙂 P.S. I’m baaaack…….prepare to be stalked again!
Wow pam another spectacular creation!!!! I really love this card!!!! Wow Fabulous again!!!!
This image is so cute, just love how you colored him and the scene you created! And your video was great Pam, I love these rulers too!

I absolutely love my perfect layers rulers as I am the queen of crooked !! Took quite a while for them to arrive from the USA but it was worth the wait.
