Hi everyone! Welcome! I’m sharing the magic of the holiday season with my card today! It’s my pleasure to be a guest cardmaker on The Foiled Fox blog!
When Shauna asked me I immediately started looking at the new Lawn Fawn release thinking Winter/Christmas scene making!
I’ll link to The Foiled Fox store below for everything I used to make this card. Free shipping at $50 and a lot of great companies, Lawn Fawn, Altenew, My Favorite Things, Concord and 9th and so many more!
I started with a panel of 110# Solar White cardstock cut to 4 ¼ x 5 ½ inches and then die cut it with the new LF Snowfall Backdrop:Portrait die.
I wanted a night sky but lighter toward the bottom so I used Distress Ink pads in Tumbled Glass, next up Faded Jeans and then top is Chipped Sapphire, all applied and blended with the Foam Mini Ink Blending tool.
I spattered the inked background with water drops, let that dry, then spattered on a little diluted white acrylic paint. Set that aside to dry.
I die cut the Little Town Hillside (pop up) die in black cardstock and spattered it lightly with white also. I tend to get spatters everywhere even using a box but it’s worth it! lol Trim the Little Town Hillside die cut to fit the bottom of the card.
I stamped “O what Fun” (the bear in the sleigh) in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, die cut it and colored it with Copic Sketch Markers.
I stamped and die cut the reindeer and ropes from the stamp and die sets Toboggan Together and colored them with Copic Sketch Markers. Add gems to the noses and white gel pen accents here and there.
I stamped and heat embossed in white embossing powder, the Simply Winter Sentiments on red cardstock and cut them into strips.
I die cut the Reveal Wheel Snowflake add-on twice, in Neenah Solar White 100# cardstock, cut one in half and used them above the sentiment strips and one in the sky.
I taped on the town border. The sleigh, reindeer and sentiments are popped up with mounting tape. The panel is adhered to an A2 cardbase.
I hope you’re inspired to make for Christmas! So many new and fun products to ‘play’ with! Check out the store and thank you so much for stopping by today!
