Spellbinders Monthly Clubs…last day to sign up for June!

Here I am at the last minute and you still have time to get in on the June Clubs at Spellbinders! Sign up goes through today, the 27th!  Go HERE.

I’m using the Stencil of the Month Club on my card.  FIVE stencils in this set…3 for the beach balls and 2 to create a Summer scene!  BTW a one inch circle punch works to punch out the balls.  Hard to tell in my photos but I have two punched out and raised with thin mounting tape.

I used two Distress Oxide inks, Lumberjack Plaid and Prize Ribbon.  I also inked a piece of cardstock to make the background blue pieces.

SB All-Star Sentiments (half price right now!) and Simon Hurley Handwritten Sentiments (25% off right now!) for the message. Links below…

It turned out cute considering I had no idea where I was headed with it! lol

I ended up with two different color reds because I grabbed the pink blending brush to do the main red on the ball!  oops!  But it worked out because the small red circle die using the red brush gave me another red! lol

I’ll add this A2 size card to my stash of birthday cards!

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to check out Spellbinders!  There’s always a great sale going on.  I love it!

Memory Box Lavish Fuchsia Stem CAS Card…

Hi everyone! Memory Box NEW Lavish Fuchsia Stem makes up beautifully and fills an A2 size card!

I know, I used unusual colors after flipping through the newer Memory Box 6×6 cardstock pads, Lagoon and Greenery.

A CAS/clean and simple design with a simple Memory Box Happy Birthday Foil Greettings Black Circle Tab.

Right now I’m liking fast cards and I made this in an hour!  YAY! I’m trying to ride my bike everyday…any of you have an electric bike?  Trying to build my confidence with the assist and throttle! lol  A little sidetracked by sourdough too! lol  So fun to watch that starter!

I’ll link up to some challenges…

NEW Memory Box Little Fuchsia Flower Trio and Branch and Hello Breezy Script Card…

Hello cardmakers and friends!  This NEW release from Memory Box is taking me back a lot of years to when I was so in love with Fuchsias!  Now our daughters are!

They are so fancy! One of God’s truly amazing floral creations! Oh true everything God created is amazing! ❤

I love making clean and simple cards but they are challenging to take pictures of because the pictures never completely do the card justice!

This is such a sweet, delicate die and the sentiment is so neat!  I love this font/look!  I use the Zig Two Way Squeeze Roller Ball point glue pen to glue these.  Works great!  It’s also one time I use tweezers for placement!

I used the thin mounting tape I love so much, trimmed to fit on the back of the floral piece.

I die cut the hello mat three times and glued together so I wouldn’t need to use mounting tape behind.

I die cut the Fuchsia in Taylored Expressions cardstocks and inked with Distress ink pads.  I used single colors but different pressure to achieve the variation.  I’ll link what I used below.

The cardbase and Hello Breezy Script are Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock.

It’s an easy to mail A2 size card.

Memory Box Whimsical Gladiola and Fanciful Gladiola Stem Card…

Hi everyone!  A card full of sunshine today!  Not quite what I pictured in my mind but it is cheerful!

I die cut in Neenah Classic Crest Smooth cardstock and inked with Distress Inks.

I followed the picture on the front of the envelope for how to color.  It’s really cool how it works!  I inked the piece that is the darkest first…

Then ink the piece that is all green…

Then glue the green over the blue!

Next I inked lighter and lighter shades of the same blue on the petals and glued them on following the picture on the front of the envelope/package.

It’s not hard at all! The little pieces of green stem sticking off the stem are where you glue the petals on and they line up!

Same for the yellow flowers.

I used an old Memory Box postage rectangle to mat a panel of paper from the Glimmering Gladiola 6×6 pad.

Then another sheet of the same pad to coordinate on the cardbase.

Then, yet another piece to cut out the NEW Exquisite Butterflies that I only used one of.

I added the cent sign using the old Memory Box abc soup Alphabet Soup die the ‘c’ and the ‘l’.

Fuchsias are on trend again!  Check out the new Memory Box release!  That’s what we’ll be making up next!  You can see it here at Starlitstudio.net

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I appreciate it and thank you so much for the comments and encouraging words! I finally found where to change the comment section back to what it used to be!  YAY!  I wish they wouldn’t change things!

poppystamps Whittle Racing Giraffe Kit Card…

Just to make you smile! A super cute new kit from poppystamps!  Whittle Racing Giraffe!  I didn’t use the race car yet but I think it’d be so cute for a new driver or one that just got their drivers license!

I went with one I could use for a graduate or anyone on their way up the ladder! There are several sentiments included in this cute kit!  All so fun!

I die cut, colored and inked the cuts.  So easy with the lines that impress when you cut guiding you where to color!

Then I chose some pattern papers from the Memory Box Anemone Grove 6×6 paper pad, one for the sky and one for the grass, tore the edge on the grass…. paper piecing the background so to speak! lol

I like it!  the little flowers in the green piece make me think of dandelions or clover!

This is a mini slimline size card. 3 ⅛ in.  6 in.

Wow!  What a busy Spring it’s been! Are you finding that too?

Events with Grandchildren that we love doing.  A wedding!  Last weekend our oldest grandson was in a bike race in Burlington, IA!  That was mind blowing! I cannot believe how fast they can ride those bikes!  One of my sisters passed away last Thursday.  Sad.  I’m 7th of 8 children so three have passed now.   So instead of weddings being the cause of family reunions, now it’s funerals. Not near as fun!

We’re enjoying being outside more for sure! Hope all is well for you and you’re keeping up with cardmaking! hoho!

take care and links below if you want a cute set to make with!
