Taylored Expressions May Release Day…

Pam Sparks Lakeside Thurs

Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog post for Taylored Expressions May stamp and die release. My first card today features the NEW Build a Scene Lakeside die set and the NEW Paddle Out stamp set. I stamped the sentiment with the MISTI and Versafine Onyx Black ink. Lots of potential for man cards here!  YAY!

I inlaid some clouds and popped some up from the Little Bits Sun and Clouds die set. I used the Build a Scene Rolling Hills for the grass, die cut from Granny Smith card-stock.

I die cut the scene with the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets and mounted it to a piece of Toffee card-stock. I edged most of the scene pieces with Distress inks and the ink blending tool.

Pam Sparks RedWhiteBlue Marching On

When I saw this NEW Marching On die, I knew I HAD to have it!  I’ve always loved the silhouette kids stamps and now dies… swoon. hehe

I die cut it three times in black card-stock, glued them together and then glued them to a Toffee card-base. I die cut the NEW Lakeside Border die and the NEW Americana Script die in Red Pepper, Blue Corn and Sugar Cube card-stock. Glued or taped them together and adhered them to the card.

I embellished the card with some wood veneer stars cuz it’s a celebration!

Taylored Expressions NEW dies, felt and stitching!

Pam Sparks April bloomin 3

Hello everyone!  Posting two cards using NEW for April TE products and one using last month’s NEW products.  EEK, time can sure get away from a gal!

I love stitching with Taylored Expressions felt! Wonderful colors and holds up beautifully.  I stitched all this without any die cut holes, except for the four on the button. So fun just to do a running stitch around the petals and leaves and backstitch down the centers of the leaves and flower scallop center.

Love the pinks against the white embossed Floral Vine background.  TE Lollipop card-stock for the die cut Hello frame.

Pam Sparks Sky High Airplane

And…we’re off!  I just love this card! The pilot is so cute with the scarf blowing out behind.  So cute…so fun!  This could easy be a congrats card for graduation, retirement or an encouragement card.

I inked the background with a mini ink blending tool and Salty Ocean Distress ink.  Stamped the sentiment with the MISTI and Versafine Onyx Black ink. Die cut the Flying High die in card-stocks and glued it together.

Pam Sparks Elephant Parade 2

Time for a parade!  An elephant parade! This die paired with TE’s baby papers and grass die made for a quick and easy ‘welcome baby’ card!  I die cut the elephants 3 times and glued them together…you sure wouldn’t have to, I just like that chipboard thickness ‘look’.

Memory Box …it’s high time we get together!!!

Pam Sparks Postal Balloon HI

Welcome Saturday and everyone! Guess I’ll settle for this is how we’ll get together today! haha

Some time ago, I did a couple Balloon cards with inlay die cutting…when I saw a couple challenges this week, I knew, I HAD to play!  So yesterday I made this.  A happy card.

Memory Box dies, a little Doodlebug washi tape and a poppystamps sentiment!  Now this balloon is retiring but Cindy has it in stock still.  I saw there are new balloon dies though, so I’ll link to all of them in the inlinz below.

Using the mini ink blending tool, I sponged Salty Ocean Distress ink on to the Stitched Square die cut… I die cut a few of the clouds in the square first, that’s why they are deeper color around the cloud.  The two clouds going off the square I die cut after I thought I was finished with the square. lol  So I had to do a little inking to get the same deeper inking effect around the clouds.  Just do it before you tape in the clouds.

I had fun making this! yay!

Taylored Expressions April Release Day…

Pam Sparks Some Like it Hot 1 Thursday

Welcome to my post for Taylored Expressions April Release! Today I’m showcasing the NEW ‘Some Like it Hot’ stamp set! So many FABULOUS sentiments! Made you smile!

The NEW April release products are in the TE store right now! YAY!

I used the NEW Build a Bookmark die cut from watercolor card-stock for the base and the ‘steam’. Then the NEW Stacked Mugs die cut in black card-stock and coated with Glossy Accents. (the steam too)  The die cuts the card-stock pieces to go behind the mugs too!  I used Red Pepper and Cookie Monster TE card-stock.

I inked the tag a lot with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink, then I got the bookmark wet, threw on some Walnut Ink crystals and dried it with the heat tool.  An eyelet, ribbon and brad embellish the top. I love it!  We used to make everything brown and coffee stained, so it was fun to revisit this technique!

Here’s what I used for the bookmark…

Next up, a card…

Another fun sentiment from this NEW stamp set! This time I embossed it with white embossing powder.  The NEW Stacked Mugs is cut from white card-stock three times and glued together.  I used the flowers from the NEW Build a Bookmark to embellish the corners of the frame.

Memory Box and poppystamps class cards…

Pam Sparks Triptych Fence

Hi everyone!  Finally getting these posted!  You can tell it’s Spring when you start working on ‘things’ around the house!  Even if it is just putting your Copic refills in alphabetical order! lol

I used the poppystamps Triptych die and Memory Box Fence die and sentiment on this one.  The little flowers are from the Playful Petal Bundle.  The Triptych die cuts the three squares in the card base and cuts the 3 tree parts squares too.  I just cut the die once in the white card base and then once in kraft because I wanted the tree squares to be brown.  I used a Tombow brush marker to edge the squares to make them darker brown.  I stamped with a woodgrain stamp over the top of all three squares before I pieced them into the card base.  I stamped the fence with the woodgrain stamp too.

Pam Sparks Kaysen Oval Frame Scene

In these two cards you have the poppystamps Boddington Cottage in the background die cut in a rectangle piece of card-stock, then cut that with one of the new Memory Box Oval Layering dies. Die cut a larger oval in light green to mat the scene and a smaller oval to stamp the sentiment on. The poppystamps Kaysen Oval is cut in darker green and lightly glued to the Boddington Cottage Oval.  The flower is from the Memory Box Seraphine Laurel die set.

This card wasn’t part of the class but I thought I’d go ahead and show you what it looked like with a different card base color.

Pam Sparks ps Cottage MB oval

Here I die cut one of the dies from the Geo Fragments die set in green.  Love that set!  I used the curve die that comes with the Memory Box Pasture Grass die set, to cut the front panel.  The sprigs from the Memory Box Seraphine Laurel die fit the curve perfectly!  Sentiment is from Memory Box and the butterfly is Memory Box Pippi and Isabella.

Here I used the poppystamps Sylvan Frame over a watercolored panel. The Memory Box Marielle Butterflies die, a banner with the poppystamps classic ribbon die and the poppystamps happy Spring die.
