a wreath…

So nice to see the sunshine today!  I like making wreaths with punches… seems like every year I try something a little different.  I saw a gal using this SU branch die,  so I had to try it!  Down to the wire and I shouldn’t be playing but I decided I could use one more card to mail.  Not sure if I really like the JOLLY bingo card stickin’ up there or not! ugh!  I was hoping the poinsettia would balance it out….hmmm….this photo might get changed! lol

I used two nestabilities circle dies, HERE,  to make the frame to glue the branches to (I used 21 branches)… although I just went over it with my ATG gun tape… love that thing!   Papers are this year’s Making Memories Christmas release in the 8×8 size….oh,  the piece behind the wreath is but the starburst paper is from K & Co.  I edged the papers with Walnut Stain Distress Ink, HERE and the ink blending tool, HERE.  The sentiment in the center is from Hero Arts. The JOLLY bingo card is from October Afternoon.. or was it 7 Gypsies…hmmm… one or the other! lol  The poinsettia is Prima…the pearls are from Hero Arts and I dyed them with Adirondack cranberry alcohol ink.

Linking up to Papertake Weekly Challenge Bloganything goes!  I like that this time of year!

I want to try some of the stuff Tim Holtz did for his tags of Christmas this year….time will tell!  Might try that for Heather’s birthday card!  Our oldest daughter was born on Christmas Day!  Today was my mom’s birthday… Heather missed by just four days!  oh well,  she just wanted to share with Jesus! lol

I’ll shut up and get back to work!  TFL!

Mimi sends Seasons Greetings…

Today’s card is for the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge Blog.  Mimi is sending love at Christmastime!  I used Penny Black’s Royal Greetings stamp 4096K,  Hero Arts stamp C3159 Sending Love, and the stitching is from a clear set by Sandy Lion – Kelly Panacci Borders KPSTP4.  Mimi is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.  Mailbox blues are B30’s with some warm grays.  Greens are YG00’s and G99.  Reds are the 20’s, 59, E07 and some warm grays.  Hair is E30’s.  Skin E0000, 000, 00, 11. White flower soft on her hat.  The little heart on the envelope is a teeny  heart punch from a Fiskars handheld (paperboy type) heart punch. The tree charm “thing” is from Around the Block,  I think.  It’s old! Probably five years or so! The dark green paper is old PSX (Personal Stamp Exchange)… the tree paper is from American Crafts and I just purchased it this year!  How ’bout that! lol

Here’s a close up…

Here’s the sketch…

From the side…I don’t know why this tree embellishment was on my desk but I’m sure liking it!

I’m linking my Mimi card to the Stampin’ for the Weekend Challenge blog, HERE.  The challenge is Christmas!  At Penny Black @ Allsorts Challenge blog, HERE, the theme is Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  At Penny Black Saturday Challenge blog, HERE,  it’s a recipe.

Today and tomorrow left to shop the 10% off Sale at All That Scraps!  Info in this post, HERE.  Christine has added more new stamps!

Tree report… the tree is standing…still not decorated…but standing is good! lol  In looking at it,  I think the trunk is crooked and leans to the left.  I need to point that out to Tim and see what he thinks.  I’m gonna decorate that thing today if it’s the last thing I do!!!  I’ll post a picture then…I do love Christmas trees… just wish we could bottle up the time and treasure it a little longer.  Take care and good cheer!

Add Some Jingle…

I LOVE this charming Tilda from the Merry Little Christmas collection.

Here’s an “extreme”  close up of this cutie!

and the card from the side…

This is a Bo Bunny paper pad that came with the patterns in shapes that you punch out…  cool.  Tilda is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch Markers… BG 90’s and Warm grays for her outfit…bench and antlers are E43, 44, 44, 49…holly is the YG90’s…hair is E50, YR 21, 23, 24 and E37 … skin E000, 00, 11 and a diluted R20 (diluted with R000 refill that I added to the barrel of the R20 marker).

I used a cling Hero Arts background stamp CG154 Aged Print Frame for the border of the square piece Tilda is on…Stampendous music background both stamped in Distress Old Paper ink.  The paper ribbon off the left side (small piece) is from a package by Anna Griffin.  “Add Some Jingle” is a new Printworks stamp,  HERE.  Ordering info in the left column, HERE. More new stamps under new releases in the left column.

Peace, Joy and Love be yours this Christmas Season!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  I appreciate your friendships so much!!!

Christmas

How did your day start?

Guess it was tired and wanted to lay down!

so much for finishing the tree today! hahahahahahahaha   I didn’t even hear it go over!   I’m really not laughing out loud!  At least I’d only put some ornies on the stupid thing!  This is our first time to ever have a Balsam Fir…we’ve always purchased Frasers.  We were late getting to the tree lot and they were out.  This crazy tree is drinking water like crazy… it must think it’s still alive!  oh well… I think I better stamp!  See that pile of rubber on the couch???  January release!  cool! lol
