MFT Snowman Kit Card…

Hi everyone!  The sun is shining and I decided I better get another card posted before the week gets away from me!

Winter just seems like a good time to get out some things I haven’t used yet.  I was inspired by a card Kay Miller sent me a few years ago. So fun!

Hopefully some of you have this kit lurking in your stash too and you’ll be inspired to find it and use it!

I tell you it took me longer to find the almost circle die and decide what sentiment than it took to make the card!  Oh, I couldn’t find the star background either but I knew I had one!  Now it’s been long enough since I made this that I can’t remember what I used!

I sure like these colors together!  The background is one of the Jill Foster watercolor backgrounds I made following her distress ink watercolor background video.  I still have a dz or so to use before I do it again!

I heat embossed the star background with white embossing powder.

So fun and I even stamped on the inside!  It’s a miracle! lol

I love this sentiment set from Penny Black Brighten the World.

Simon Says Stamp Pop of Color CAS Card…

Hello and here’s my first valentine for this year!

Simon Says Stamp’s latest release Heart to Heart!

They sent me the New Pop of Color stamp set to make with.  All I did was add some die cut hearts!

I stamped the paintbrush on Hammermill cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Copic friendly ink.  I cut the paintbrush out by hand and colored it with Copic Sketch markers.

I stamped the color wheel and sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Using the MISTI!

Here’s a few more pictures.  The stamp set on the left has all kinds of sentiments on it.  I’m not sure who this is going to yet so I haven’t stamped inside but I’m going to use this SSS set when I decide! It’s called Love Greetings Mix.  I’ll link below.

The hearts are from Heart Jumble by poppystamps but any hearts will work!

It was fun to be able to make a CAS (clean and simple) card after all the more time consuming cards I’ve been making!

Check out the new release….only two weeks before we’ll be needing Valentines!  eek!

A NEW YEAR and some new to me Snowmen…

Hi everyone!  I’m sitting here trying to remember how to do everything involved in writing a blog post. eek!  It’s been a month or so! I’ve been having fun using some of my stash!  I hope I can keep up getting stuff posted.  I have FIVE cards that I have pictures of that I haven’t posted yet.  Where does the time go!

At least I’m getting to it this morning! hoho

I love how fresh and snowy this card is!  Fun colors!

It’s mostly still available dies, I’ll link you up below.  Very basic die cutting and gluing…a little white pen.  Oh I inked the snowglobe base with Gathered Twigs Distress ink and the mini ink blending tool.

I tore a snow layer for the globe and for the background panel so the trees are grounded.  It’s hard to see but it’s there.  I thought about adding glitter but then promptly forgot!

Hope they make you smile and warm up!  It’s cold in Iowa this week.  Yesterday the wind gave the word biting meaning!  No snowmen around town right now though!

Spellbinders Cozy Toes Friends Card…

Oh happy day when you can stay home in comfy clothes and shoes! Remember last years Large Die of the Month club set for October?  Well, this is a companion die set to it. So fun!  I wasn’t real creative with it but maybe turning the unicorn into a horse is creative! lol

I used some cardstock and pattern paper scraps to make this mini slimline size card…. that’s always a good feeling!

It’s a card to make you smile anyway.  This die set makes up some super cute tags for the kids and adults  that get pajamas for Christmas!

Die cut and glue, stamp and glue, done!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Memory Box Garden Pail Bouquet Card…

Hello everyone! Have you seen this new die set from Memory Box?  Well, it’s not the latest release but it wasn’t that long ago!

Just something about pails with flowers…I’m kinda envious of gals with flower gardens that can go pick whenever they want too.  I’m not envious of the work involved though!  So it’s paper flowers for me!

Funny story for you…. I decided to die cut the flowers in white and Copic color them so I grabbed a scrap of white from my white scrap bag.  Put it down on the dies  and when I took the flowers out of the die, I saw the print on there! lol   I almost threw the pieces away but then I thought, I should just use these for fun!   I probably could never do this on purpose and like it! lol

It really wasn’t hard because the pieces are grouped well!  Here’s a picture of what the dies look like and then three pictures of the cuts.  I did cut  the two floral dies twice but you don’t need to.

I went by the picture on the package on how to put the flowers together and how to arrange them on the card.  Most are just two pieces!

I did some inking with brushes on the pail and then some black spattering.  Inking on the leaves also.

I colored the flowers with Copics but you could use any medium.

I used a little of my favorite thin mounting tape on the main flowers for the arrangement.

Then I just cut a black cardstock panel 4 inches x 5 ¼ inches and using my score-pal, scored all fours sides in ¼ inch.  I love how the pail and flowers stand out against black!

OH, I didn’t have room for a big sentiment even though I wanted to use one.  I used one of the Happy Birthday Foil Greetings Black Tabs.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope this card makes you smile and inspires you to make something too!
