Printworks Collection New Friendship Release …

Hi everyone! I’ve been making Christmas cards for Printworks! Now I get to show them to you! If you want to see them all at once, you can, here, here and here. There are some of my Thanksgiving cards from years past here.

This cute little kitten is called Morris Kitty… isn’t he cute! The convertible is called Muggles Morris!

Well, I just had to make them up Christmas like! All kittens carry around mistletoe in a convertible at Christmas don’t they?! hoho They do on cards anyway!

Such cute sentiments too!

I colored with Copic Sketch Markers. Shoot me now, I didn’t write the numbers down. I always think I’ll remember! What! I rarely remember. ugh.

I die cut the panel with one of Memory Box Wrapped Stitched Rectangle dies and the kraft panel with one of the Memory Box Basic Rectangle dies.

Funny what you see in pictures and too late! The cards are already winging their way to be at the convention in California in November. If you’re going, be sure to stop by the Printworks Collection booth! Anyway, I missed coloring the heart in red! 😀

My cards for Simon Says Stamp ‘Making Spirits Bright’ Release!

Hello! Did you hear the excitement in my hello?! lol ‘Making’ cards for Christmas gets me ALL excited and giddy with all the new product! How to make and shop at the same time! It is hard! lol

When this die arrived in the mail I was so happy this is what SSS sent me! I love it! In my first card, I combined it with the RyLynn Snowflake and a sentiment from Inside Holiday Greetings.

I got out some Distress Oxide ink pads and started smooshing. It’s one of those come back after a layer dries and add another layer. I just started another card while I was waiting!

I love these dies with the larger outline cut and the intricate word to layer in the outer cut. I think you know what I mean… whew. lol I’m not so great at describing things sometimes! The Distress Oxide layer has the large ‘hole’ cut in it. I die cut a piece of craft foam with the large die too and adhered it behind so the silver falala would be down in the hole.

I love how festive and non-traditional this turned out!

My next card…well, I love it too! CAS, white and so sparkly festive!

American Crafts glitter paper…I like it! It’s a really nice weight and die cuts perfectly! Here I didn’t use craft foam behind the top layer but you still get enough dimension to show the beauty of the die.

The sentiment is from the Holiday Message Strips stamp set and poppystamps Holly Leaves and Berries dies are all the embellishment this card needed to keep it CAS.

Memory Box Poinsettia Blooms and Holly Collage Christmas card….

Hi everyone! I’ve been excited to try out these new dies! So happy with how festive this turned out.

First I die cut a quarter piece of 8.5 x 11 heavy white card-stock with the largest Wrapped Stitch Rectangles die. I love that it’s the size of an A2 card.

Then I die cut the Holly Collage in the rectangle, more toward the upper left than the center because I planned to place the new Brush Merry Christmas sentiment die toward the bottom right corner. It is die cut in American Crafts Gold Glitter card-stock.

Then I embossed the Holly Collage in a piece of Memory Box green note-card by running it through the Big Shot with the tan embossing mat, a few 65# card weight shims with the Multi Purpose Platform set up for embossing. I have videos on embossing under the videos tab under the blog header.

The embossing showed up nicely but I wanted it to be even more so…shows up better for blog posting! ;D So I went over the veins in the leaves with a Copic marker.

I die cut Poinsettia Blooms from a Cranberry note card, the little berry branches and center from shiny gold card-stock. I love these little branches!

I went over the lines in the Poinsettia petals with a Copic maker too.

I love how this poinsettia looks after a little lifting of the petals. I just glued it to the card in the center of each layer with Tombow Mono Multi glue, it tacks up quick with just the right amount of wiggle room! One thing I’ve learned over the years of using this liquid glue… do you feel a tip coming?! lol Don’t stand the glue up…leave it laying down ALL the time. Also keep the tip cleaned off. I wipe the end with my fingers every time I use it. The glue just rubs off your finger tips. I don’t put the lid right back on if I’m going to use it again soon. If the tip is clean, the tip will stay open. yay!

ok – I’ll shut up and get back to making some more festive cards! I need to send some too… I am so good about making but terrible about sending. ugh.

Mama Elephant Tiny Heroes birthday card…

Hi everyone! Back with another birthday card. This one was for Lizzie Faith who turned to double digits this year! The Big 10! Liz is a sweetheart. Loves to draw, make cards and read! We have the make cards and reading in common anyway! lol

Lizzie is one out of seven red headed grandchildren. If you add 2 of our 3 daughters we have 9 red heads in the family. 😀

So this little hero girl had to have red hair. She’s colored with Copic Sketch markers.

I masked off the white circle and light path, inked the background, then masked to color in the yellow with Distress ink Squeezed Lemonade and an ink blending tool. I can’t remember what colors I used for the sky! I know I used the Frost Shimmer Spray on it though and then tapped the bottle to get it to drop the splats.

Lizzie is a kitty lover too. They have outside cats and seems like they have kittens a couple times a year. She takes care of them and loves them…she’ll be a good mom some day! So the kitten hero was perfect for her too!

The skyline is from an Open Studio Memory Box set.

It’s always so fun when you’re trying to get a card made to ‘fit’ a person and you feel you succeed in the end! You know what I mean, right?!

A Lawn Fawn Jungle Birthday Pop Up Box…

Hello everyone! A wild birthday card for you today! This is the pop up box card die from Lawn Fawn that is so much fun! I forgot to take pictures of it folded up before I gave it to Gilbert Sunday. ugh. It truly does fold, lay flat and fit in an A2 size envelope!

So much fun for a little color book therapy and then a chance to use a big piece of that pattern paper hoard! I should make more of these! I can’t resist buying pattern paper but I have a hard time working it into the card design most of the time.

I used Lawn Fawn’s Wild For You stamp and die sets, Box Card pop up die set, Rectangle die, grass die and the words ‘rawr’ and ‘wish big’ came from the Critters from the Past stamp set. Almost forgot the balloons! They are from the Bicycle Built for You stamp set.

The images were all stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink in the MISTI stamping tool and then colored with Copic Sketch Markers. Very basic coloring.

The pattern paper is Lawn Fawn’s 12 x 12 size, Perfectly Plaid Rainbow Collection.

Gibby liked it! YAY…he was so excited for his 5th birthday and he loved his presents too! It was so hot…they’d been swimming! lol He’s just one of our many red heads! ❤
