So excited to share this little matchbox ornament with you! I love this and already have it hanging where I can enjoy it! hehe
I die cut the matchbox with with pretty heavy card-stock. By the time you get it folded into the box, it’s quite sturdy! yay! This one is 2 ½ in x 3 ½ in.
I punched holes in the top and set eyelets with the cropidile. I strung ribbon through the holes and tied knots on the inside.
I stamped and cut images from two Memory Box stamp and die sets…Christmas Elves and Dashing with Reindeer, the Christmas tree is from poppystamps Purrfect Holidays stamp and die sets, the banner is from poppystamps Naughty or Nice stamp and die sets and the sentiment on the banner is a partial stamping from a stamp in the Wintertime Fairies stamp set.
I colored everything with Copic Sketch Markers and added glitter from the Spectrum Noir clear glitter brush pen on the snow, banner and lights.
Here it is hanging…it was hard to get it to quit moving so I could take a picture of it hanging! lol
Hopefully between all these, you can see all the fun details.
I cut part of an 8.5 x 11 piece of white 3 mm thick craft foam in ½ inch strips, covered each side with ½ inch Scor-tape, layered them together, 3 strips thick, 2 strips thick and then I just left one, 3mm thick. I was able to place the images in the box at different levels then.
The window is the poppystamps Grand Madison Window die that I cut down to fit over the top.
Thanks for stopping by today and letting me share this cute box! It’s going to be a Fall and Winter of snow-globes, fold cards, matchboxes and all things festive!
P.S. Starlitstudio has the just released Memory Box/poppystamps Winter 2017 collection IN STOCK!!! I hope mine get here soon!
