Bloomin’ … using a stamp-a-ma-jig

Fabulous NEW stamps from Printworks Collection, HERE!  I stamped on watercolor paper and colored with Printworks stamp pads/ink.  Squeeze the lid to pool the ink on the lid making the lid the paint palette.  Pick up the ink with a wet paint brush and color away… the trick for me is… how much water to use! eek!  I need to practice more!

The inside… a wonderful New PW sentiment honoring Mother’s! (I added the flower, its from PW too)

Here’s a 3 min. video on how I masked and positioned the images together….

A Fishing kind of Birthday!

Relax, it’s cool!  How to celebrate a 10th birthday… fishing… Grandson Lane loved his new tackle box and lures from Grandpa!

New Stampfairy stamps from Marianne Design… Stampfairy Bear Fishing and Stampfairy Sentiments.  I also used Marianne Design’s tree, fence, grass and bird dies for this step card… it just makes me happy! So cute!  The three little trees in the background are a dollar stamp from M’s… I stamped and masked the bear first… just cut out half the mask… = )

I love how the dies emboss… I used the embossing with the stylus technique that I show in this video HERE and the tree is pieced like I show in this video HERE.

All the pieces are edged with Walnut Stain Distress ink, the green is edged with Peeled Paint Distress ink… and the ink blending tool!  MME Lime Twist Cloud paper again… I bought the last three sheets of it at the stamp store in Des Moines… love it!  I’ll link to the 6×6 pad that has it in it though.

Gonna switch gears and try watercoloring some of the new Printworks stamps….wish me good painting! eek!  I love a good challenge!  = )

Happy Fishing or for me… I prefer Stamping! lol  Thanks for stopping by!  Talk to you again soon!

Sweet Stamping Pixies Challenge #2 – Kraft…

Second Monday of the month makes it time for Sweet Stamping Pixies Challenge time!

Along with using your pixie/fairy/sprite stamps this month,  the challenge is to use kraft on your creation too!

I used this sweet Magnolia Fairy Tale Tilda stamp and finally some of the Magnolia Doohickey Dies that I’ve been collecting!  I do love these thinner dies and what a variety we have to choose from anymore!  Wonderful!

The stitching lines stamp I used is from a clear stamp set by Sandylion and the sentiment is from Savvy stamps.  I used Broken China and the ink blending tool around the circle.  Diamond stickles on her wings.

I stamped Tilda on Papertrey Ink select white card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic Sketch markers.

We had family birthdays yesterday so I’ll have another birthday card to share tomorrow…

Hope you get a chance to click over to the Sweet Stamping Pixies challenge and play along!  A great Magnolia stamp will go to the winner, sponsored by Magnolia-licious!

I’m entering my card in the following challenges…

Just Magnolia – Anything Goes

By the Cute and Girly – Once Upon a time

Simon Says Stamp – Use your favorite tool (mine would be dies)

Flutterby Wednesday – Open

Crafting When We Can – Things With Wings

Curly Q Flower Bouquet…

mg_3498

Did you guess right?  oh?  I didn’t tell you to?  oh… well…this flower idea is what set me off on the Curly Q crazees!  Scroll down to see the other three cards that I posted yesterday… I’ve had some serious creating this week!

The super creative Mary J on the ATS Design Team set me to thinking when she used the waste from the Curly Q die for raindrops on her card Tuesday!!!   I was challenged!  Thanks Mary J!  So fun to work with you!

If you guessed Rolled Flowers out of the Curly Q die you guessed right!!!  VERY FUN!  I wrote out a short tutorial  for creating these flowers.

* cut the Curly Q die out in a few flowery Spring colors

* roll it up just like you would a rolled rose or other rolled flower!

* fiddle with it for five minutes to get the loops evened out a bit (if you are faster than that,  I want to know your trick! lol)

* glue it together with Tombow Mono Multi glue (I love this glue… I’ve been using it for over ten years!)

* I punched 3/4 inch circles and glued the flower in the center

* die cut two of the large Phlox Flower die to make the leaves under the flower

* cut the Phlox Flower into pieces,  I used one piece with three leaves and two pieces with two leaves for each flower

* edge the leaves with Peeled Paint Distress ink and the ink blending tool

* glue those pieces under the flower… to the circle

* the flower centers are the smallest Phlox Flower from the Phlox Flower die

* filler greenery is from the Leafy Branch and Mistletoe dies

* the flower pot is a folded piece of card-stock and I just chopped off the slant!

* the Happy Mother’s Day sentiment is from the  All About Mom sentiment set and I stamped it on the banner from the Banners Tags die (this die comes in so handy) with my stamp a ma jig

Here’s the card laying down… I cut a strip of card-stock…trimmed it at the top like a shipping tag.  Adhered the flowers to the top of the strip/long tag… then it slides down between the fold of the flower pot!

The flower pot is just a piece of card-stock,  you determine the size… folded in half,  trimmed and a little border glued on the top for the ridge of the flower pot.  You want the fold to be at the bottom.  I used ATG on the sizes to hold it together, being sure to leave room for the strip/tag to move in and out freely.

Stamp a sentiment and layer it up on the strip/tag.

It just squeals, SPRING!

Thanks for visiting my blog this week… I think this is a record for me,  posting four times in one week!  WOW!  Course I haven’t had time for anything else!  Pans piled in the sink… laundry…an inbox full of email…eek! hehe   So I’ll be catching up next! lol I’m sure you all identify! It’s been fun though and I love hearing what you think!  It spurs me on!  Have a blessed Easter… God bless you!

brrrrrrrriiiing….

Answer the phone, it’s your mother calling!!! I just could NOT resist making this when I thought of it!  LOVE it for a CAS card!  Can you just hear the news waiting to come out of that cord – Curly Q die!  NEW this month!  So FUN!

ok – so nothing spectacular in the way of news but I still love it!   hello and both of the sentiments inside are from the NEW AmyR Stamps Sentiment set, So Wordy!   CUTE!

Here’s another card I made with the Curly Q die, Watering Can Logos and Watering Can die!  I LOVE it!  A little gluing time but so CAS and simply sweet!

The Curly Q die is cut out of dark brown card-stock… glued on… then some pieces I die cut for stems from the Mistletoe die… works great for flowers!  The white flowers are the smallest flower from the Five Point Flower die and the red center is the largest bit 4 from my Japanese Screw Punch.  I did take the stylus to the red circles and rounded them up so they have just the right amount of dimension… Cute!

I die cut three of the watering cans and glued them together to simulate chipboard.  The watering can stamp, sentiment and  heart are part of the Watering Can Logos cling mount rubber stamp set.

oh my,  I’m still not done!   How about a Mother card!  Another CAS creation… I love doing them.  I used the All About Mom Sentiment set and of course!!!  The Curly Q die!!! lol

The Curly Q die is cut and just barely glued on to the white card… I ran the ribbon through the curls and then lightly glued the ends before I trimmed them off with a scissors.  Mother is stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink on a Long Rectangle Nestabilities die cut with the stamp a ma jig.  I left the cut in the die and edged it with my ink blending tool and Printworks Beach House ink pad.

Now,  I’m done for today!  I have one more creation for tomorrow….I’m excited to share it with you too!  So until then!   Happy Stamping/creating to you!
