Stampendous Build a Bouquet Card and SALES!!!

Such fun! I can only hope that one day our 3 Hydrangea bushes that we planted last year will give me a jar full! lol I see green coming up though, so there’s hope!

I had fun playing with this stamp and coordinating die set from Stampendous.

Inking/daubing directly on the stamp with Distress Stains in the MISTI, like I’ve seen others doing, pull the color around with a waterbrush and paint in some details with the same waterbrush. No two alike! ***Just discovered this though while making the links for what I used. Distress Stains aren’t available anymore…they are in spray form now. So I linked to some dauber bottles to put the Distress Sprays in. Sorry about this but easy fix!

I stamped the jar in Ranger Archival black ink….my go to black for everything other than Copic coloring right now.

I stamped the plaid background with a Concord and 9th set using coordinating Distress Oxide ink pads. That was fun…a gal could make plaid all day! lol

I decided the jar needed to sit on something…so those ovals…they come in so handy for that!

I think I need to try some other techniques with this set too… so many flowers and even a butterfly in the set and another vase! Even a pop-up with the Stampendous pop up die!

It’s a flower time of year for sure! YAY!

Memory Box Fresh Picked Flowers Card…

Hi everyone! How are you? I just snapped a picture of one of the new trees that has buds! YAY! Hopefully the other two will follow suit!

Here’s another birthday card…I can never have to many! Back to the card-stock version, no ink blending! horror! lol

This is the Memory Box Fresh Picked Flowers die.. so pretty and fun! I die cut it from Memory Box Meadow and Pool note-cards. Love these colors together and that black! I trimmed out the frame on the pool die cut and offset them in the end…added the little black gems… I’ll link to them below.

I used poppystamps Big Circle Border Layer die on both sides of a 4 ¼ x 5 ½ in panel of white card-stock, positioning the cuts so there would be an ⅛ th inch of a 4 ¼ x 5 ½ inch black panel showing on both sides when layered onto an A2 white card-base.

I wasn’t sure while it was happening if I was going to like it in the end but I do! I love it! whew! lol You have to satisfy yourself with this card-making you know! Deciding whether or not to pop out all the circles is a big decision! haha

poppystamps Meadow Flower and Stitch Wreath CAS card…

Here with a special delivery! This simple sweet flower makes a statement against this stitch flower wreath. I love it! A little Copic Sketch Marker coloring with the G40’s and a Y15. The little white dots are from a Signo White Gel Pen.

I think I could make this card next time in 30 minutes! A record! lol I have to tell you though, this washi tape was discontinued some time ago…like a couple years. October Afternoon is the brand. Some things are just timeless! Other tapes or a sentiment on a card-stock strip would work just as well. Check out SLS’s selection of new Alexandra Renke tapes… whoa, so cool!

I keep looking for buds on our new trees. Tim says not to expect much but I want much! lol

Here he is bringing the first tree after he made the hole with the same truck…then back and forth until all 3 were in the ground. (I took the pictures from inside our house)

We have a red oak from several years ago on the other side of the white oak in the front. Grow trees grow! Now the ground is tilled up and all new seed planted…lots of watering happening!

poppystamps Rose Stem Collage card…

Hi everyone! This is the only kind of flowers I have growing here! lol I’ll have some hanging pots in a couple weeks though!

I love how this card turned out. I’m don’t feel like I’m very good with color schemes but I’m drawn to this coral/pink color this year.

It’s just charming! I didn’t put a sentiment yet because I loved it plain first of all but I think it’d be a lovely Mother’s Day or any occasion really.

I colored with Copic Sketch Markers, R20, 21 and 22 for the pink/coral color, G40, 43 and 46 for the green.

I added some Doodlebug Limeade Pearls…classy little things. hehe Shoot me now! These pearls aren’t in the stores anymore! So, I would tell you to color your white baby pearls with Copic markers or better yet, color them with alcohol ink.

The frame is the between part of the poppystamps Double Stitch Rectangle Frames…don’t throw that part away!

Alexandra Renke Poppy Flowers and More…

Hi everybody! Hottest topic these days? yep, STILL the weather! lol Spring/Winter/Spring/Winter/Spring/Winter…keepin’ us guessing! As long as our new trees can handle it I’m ok! lol

So I’ve been playing with the stamp shammy on distress ink blending technique…not sure who came up with it but I bet it was somebody that made a beautiful ink blended background and then accidentally dropped their stamp shammy on it and magic happened! lol

I’ve made several with regular Distress ink but this one is Distress Oxide on Canson Smooth Bristol paper pad. Orange cover pad, be sure it says smooth. I started with Twisted Citron on the bottom, then Peacock Feathers with Broken China on the top/last. After you’re done blending on the color with your ink blending tools, use your damp stamp shammy bunched up to make a few folds in the wad and pounce it on your inky background!

Oh it’s fun! AND with the oxides, if you pounce on the darker and move to the lighter it transfers the ink and layers it on top… so cool…you can see it on the Twisted Citron here.

I die cut the Poppy Flowers with the same card and inked them with Oxides too. Candy Apple, Fired Brick, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss. I did come back in with matching Distress Markers for the little dots in the petals and leaves.

I did water spattering on the background and the die cuts. I spray water (a puddle) into the palm of my hand, rub my hands together and clap over the pieces I want spattered. Not so many big blobs that way.

I die cut the panel with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle die…then embossed the sentiment from Neat and Tangled, So Many Sentiments stamp set on a strip of vellum using the MISTI to stamp, white pigment ink pad and white super fine embossing powder.

I’ll link everything below. It was fun playing around… this was the 2nd card I made with these Poppy Flower dies…I had to get warmed up first with a ‘safe’ CAS card… lol!

Less Is More – Bring Something Back – vellum and embossing on it

This card is basically self explanatory! 😀 So very clean and simple but I like it! I die cut the Poppy Flowers dies and hello in white. Glued the flowers down flat with Lineco PVA glue in the Darice fine tip bottles. Well, first I die cut a red A2 size panel with the Memory Box Wrapped Stitch Rectangle die…jazzed it up a bit…knowing me, I would’ve liked it plain too! lol A few Doodlebug enamel dots, hello glued directly on black and then mounted to the card with thin mounting tape.

These Alexandra Renke dies are beautiful…wait until you click over and see all the other products! The washi tape is to die for and the pattern paper is just gorgeous! Beautiful floral and other designs… check it all out HERE. Fun to change things up now and then. hehe

OH… I said ‘more’ up there in the title didn’t I?! I almost forgot! I have a sweet silhouette card to share that is perfectly Spring!

This is the Alexandra Renke Panorama Easter Girl die…I really think you could use it any time of year though, don’t you? I just die cut her and her chicks in black, mounted her with thin foam mounting tape to an ink blended textured watercolor paper and spattered it up!

I’ll leave you with this wish for a happy Spring. I’m a realist…reality is that Spring ain’t all it’s cracked up to be! lol So we’ll just keep making our pretty cards and pretending that Spring isn’t a wet mess! If the sun comes out…HURRY and take advantage of it! lol
