Baseball Birthday Boy Card…

Hi everyone! Always birthdays happening around here! Rogan turned 8 June 1st and I’m just now getting this posted.  I don’t think I’ve gotten all the other birthdays posted either so this is probably good that I’m getting this one done!

I really liked this card!  Usually I like to do something interactive but there’s not enough sports stamps in my stash so the interactive part came on the inside.  I really like the sets I used though and am getting a lot of use out of them!

I had some baseball washi tape that kinda covered up the fact that this die has scallop edges.

I used An Altenew Alphabet set on the front and the stamps and dies from Sunny Studio and Waffleflower.  Here’s another card I used the Batter set for.

Rogan likes to keep busy playing sports or helping his dad.

I loved using the alphabet for his name and embellishing it… now I want to do it everytime but I probably better not. lol

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope your day is a HOME RUN! haha

Simon Says Stamp Let’s Chill Release…

Welcome to my blog today…feel the sand between your toes!  Some of you can I bet!  I’m feeling the chill but it’s in the house! lol

I have the opportunity today to post for Simon Says Stamp Let’s Chill Release using the new ‘Let’s Get Away’ clear stamp set. Lots of great stuff in this release!  It’s always fun to make Summer scenes so I stamped them up with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the images with Copic Sketch Markers.

Then I made my background by stamping the wave lines stamp with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink, ink blending it above the waves and painting it in between the waves of the stamped image.  I smeared some of the splatters so I had to go in with a damp paint brush to fix them. ugh.

I used Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink pads and ink blending brushes for the beach below the waves.

I made the drink into lemonade, personalized to me!

Fun stamp set with several fun sentiments!

Take a look at the rest of the release HERE and thanks again for stopping by!  I appreciate it and hope it helps you stay cool!

Memory Box You Anchor Me Card…

It’s always fun to have a masculine card in the stash!  Today’s card is the new Memory Box You Anchor Me stamp set and coordinating dies!

I stamped the anchor in TE’s Blue Corn ink, it’s a dark blue….love it!  Not black. hehe  Die cut it with the coordinating die, popped it up on a Memory Box die cut Wrapped Circles die cut, then matted it with a Circle Basics die cut in dark brown.

I got out the Memory Box End of My Rope set… don’t you love that name?! lol  Decided I liked one, die cut it in white cardstock and inked with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

Some woodgrain pattern paper…two sentiments stamped in the MISTI in Ranger Coffee Archival Ink from the You Anchor Me set.

Then on the inside, a couple more sentiments.

I die cut the panel with the Memory Box Wrapped Stitch Rectangles die set. I should’ve stamped one of the little fish (in the set) inside with the words too!

I popped the anchor and rope up with a little 3M foam mounting tape, the 1/16th inch stuff so It’s still CAS and mailable!

Thank you for stopping by and come back!  Christmas is coming soon!  Can’t wait!

Pam

My Scrap Chick Beach Box Card…

Hi everyone! Another end of Summer interactive card to share!  I guess I’m loving these box cards.  This file came from My Scrap Chick. com.

I use a Scan and Cut so I have to change the SVG file to work on it.  I follow a video that’s really easy!  I have to watch it every time though because I don’t cut files very often.  Mostly I use it to cut out stamped images if I don’t have matching dies.  Comment or email me if you want a link to the video.

This turned out so cute!  The file is actually called Guy Bird Tubing but I needed it to be a girl!  Simple fix… I cut a narrow strip of cardstock and put it through the holes on the light pink piece and made straps for her bathing suit!

We’re still having some hot days here in Iowa so that lemonade looks so refreshing!

hahahaha  I added some white lines and dots with a white gel pen.

I used some old Bazzil cardstock and some Taylored Expressions cardstock.  Cookie Monster for the bird and Confetti Cake for the box.

It folds flat so easily and slips into an A2 envelope.  The file comes with an envelope you can cut but I resized it way too big!  I was glad to find out it fit in a regular size A2.

Totally charming! lol  This file comes with a short assembly video too… amazing how the gal designed it to fit together seamlessly!

On the back I wrote, “we think you’re beachy keen”! lol

Thank you for stopping by today!

Yesterday was stressful…I had to update the operating system on this computer.  Safari cut me off to where I couldn’t log in to my blog!  Fortunately everything is working ok… I almost panicked because it didn’t look like photoshop elements was going to open but it finally did. whew.  I lost all the mail I had saved in folders in my mail program though.  I guess I was tooooo far behind in updating and it acted like it was a new computer!  So I will just type my name here today because I don’t have the html code saved in an email anymore in my blog folder.  Five years of stuff, gone. boo. I am working on another system for saving stuff!!!

ttul!

Pam

Cutest Birthday Card of the Year….One of Them Anyway…hahaha

Hi everyone! This box card makes me so happy!  I love it so much!  So fun to color and put together!  Making a card like this is like starting out on a journey and you’re not quite sure where you’ll end up! lol ❤

This card was for one of our grandsons, Cedryk. Not curly blonde hair but just as cute! ❤

Our grandsons found the new show Adventure Agents a year or so ago and boy have they had fun!  When I asked Ced what he wanted for his birthday card this year he told me a boy cutting down trees!  I said, “ok”…told myself not to panic yet… lol  Came home and started looking through the stash and thinking! This is where I ended up and I was thrilled! YAY!  So thankful to have this cardmaking challenge to keep me smiling!

So here’s some more pictures!

I stamped, cut him out by hand and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.

Timber!!!!

from the side… I had to trim down the MFT grass dies to fit.

a little bit more of the perspective/depth…

It folds flat to fit in an envelope!  YAY!

I hope he made you smile… thank you for stopping by my blog!  I love sharing my cards with you!

P.S.  be watching…tonight central time… 11 p.m. (12 a.m. Eastern) is the NEW Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Release!  I have a card to share on Thursday for the StAMPtember Blog Party… it’s a Christmas card!  So come back and I appreciate it so much when you shop through my links!  THANK YOU!
