Hello Bluebird Birthday Card…

Hi everyone…it’s been a fun Summer with our kids and g-kids. This is the card I made for Cedryk who turned six in July. He loves to fish with his dad and gpa and loves his kitties and dog and everything on wheels! lol

I had so much fun with this… I die cut the Pond Builder Set in Strathmore 400 BEST coldpress watercolor paper and watercolored the pieces with Gansai Tambi 36 color wc set. I mixed color right on my Tonic craft mat and then spattered on the extra with my favorite brush for spattering… I’ll link it up below… it’s the round #4 in the set.

I stamped the colored images on Neenah Solar White 110# cardstock, die cut them, then colored them with Copic Sketch markers. TIP: I always die cut before I color… if you need something larger to hold on to, use a temporary adhesive and stick the cut to a larger piece of paper or cardstock.

Isn’t he just the cutest and that kitty!!!

It was hard to narrow down the photos for this one…this scene just made me photo happy! lol

I hope it makes you smile too! We were having some super hot and humid days but wow, now it won’t stop raining and being humid. Yep, I’m from Iowa, we’re always talkin’ ’bout the weather! I don’t like to go places in the rain people! lol I came up the front stairway last night and bam… the roof is leaking. ugh. Water is supposed to stay outside and in ponds you know! So I’m feeling whiny baby. sigh

Lawn Fawn Screen Time Reveal Wheel Birthday Cards…

Hi everybody! Two more Reveal Wheel Die cards today…I always am needing boy cards! Grandsons Henry turned 12 and Corrin turned 9 in July! Growing up fast!

The Lawn Fawn Screen Time stamp and die sets worked for both boys! I stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic Sketch markers. The background on this one is Distress Oxide inks, Tumbled Glass and Gathered Twigs. Lawn Fawn plaid pattern paper.

My next card is the same stamp and die sets from Lawn Fawn with a piece of woodgrain pattern paper for the floor, I drew in some more lines so the planks weren’t so wide, then using a black calligraphy marker I went over the top edge to get the look of baseboard trim. I used the drink, chips, pizza and popcorn bowl in the windows of both cards.

Distress Oxide Twisted Citron is the wall color.

The Reveal Wheel Cards are so easy to make with the die set… Lawn Fawn has really good videos to walk you through it. I don’t do the step anymore where you pencil in where to put the sentiments on the circle. I just stamp one sentiment, turn it and stamp another directly across from it, turn it and stamp the other two sentiments just by eyeballing. It’s really easy to get them stamped right.

Both are A2 size cards and mailable! yay!

Hi everyone! I’m getting some birthday cards done for July and early August birthdays! I know… we’re behind…it’s been a family upheaval Summer here! I wanted to share this card and a couple more tomorrow and then it’s back to Memory Box and poppystamps! I’m so glad to be getting these cards done though and to the grandkids! They’ve been troopers!

I love using the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel die set. The kids love it too but who wouldn’t! I haven’t made one for an adult yet but I think they’re fun for kids of all ages!

I stamped Inky Impressions stamp Lili’s Chicks on 110# Neenah Solar White cardstock with Memento Black Ink and colored with Copic Sketch Markers. This card is for our granddaughter Genevieve, we call her Gena. She loves her chicks, chickens, kittens and dogs! and her Grandma! haha

It’s been fun to spend some time coloring. I used to color these images a lot… if you look in the Inky Impressions category over on the sidebar, it’ll take you to some of my other cards from years ago when I was on the Inky Impressions Design Team a couple times. Some of my favorite cards!

Waffle Flower Sandy Toes, Neat and Tangled Hello Summer Card…

Hi cardmakers and friends! Switching it up completely today with a Summer birthday card. When I saw this Waffle Flower Sandy Toes stamp set I HAD to have it cuz it’s so much like our kids boating and swimming. Then I saw Channin’s video using this set and I was thrilled with her card and wanted to sit down and make it right away! I didn’t have the paints she used at the time and used Oxide inks instead. Excuse to go shopping, which I did, but then life happened and I just finally finished this up with the sentiments and gluing it together yesterday. Thank you so much Channin!

How triumphant this flippin’ flip flop guy is that it’s Summer! (I don’t like hot and humid, so just send me pictures of the fun, thank you! lol)

I painted the characters with Zig Clean Color Brush markers on watercolor paper. Contrary to most that love painting on Bristol with these, I prefer coldpress watercolor paper, figures huh. lol

Such fun… this card just makes a person celebrate living, you know! I’m trying to learn…Summer is a state of mind. haha hehe

This is an A2 size card and will be a very belated birthday card.

Folk Dance Die from SSS Friendly Frolic New Release…

Hi everyone! AWESOME new release up at Simon Says Stamp! They sent me the Folk Dance die to create with…here’s what I came up with this time around!

I die cut a piece of copy paper to make a stencil…

Used the stencil to ink up a card panel with Picked Raspberry and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Inks and the mini ink blending tools. Sprinkled on Clear Embossing powder and heat set.

Then I die cut a card panel of 110# Neenah Solar White and layered/glued it over the top of the inked panel.

Tied on some pink twine…glued that to a top folded card base.

Die cut a Double Stitch Rectangle from poppystamps…inked the interior cut with Peeled Paint Oxide ink…

Die cut SSS Painted Thanks die two dies from the same white and glued them together and mounted them to the rectangle with mounting tape.
