Spellbinders NEW Windmills and Tulips Card…

Hello everyone! A fun traditional sort of card to share with you today!  Coloring the easy way!

A new release, Yana’s Tulips from Spellbinders.  I’m using the NEW Betterpress plate and stencils for coloring!

I ran the plate through the die cut machine with the  Betterpress  Windmills and Tulips plate inked with the  black Betterpress ink pad.

Then I colored using the coordinating stencils, Distress ink pads and mini ink blending tools. So easy and FUN!

I like to use the Wendy Vecchi Make Art Station for stenciling.

I hoped the letterpress look would show in my photos.  You’ll have to trust me that it really is letterpress! lol

I used an old SB die set to die cut the panel.  I thought it was still in the store but I don’t see it to link to.

The sentiment I used is from Yana’s Special Sentiments Glimmer set but I did it with the Betterpress system and black ink instead of foil.

I added a little gingham bow.

It’s an A6 size card because I wanted some white border.  It will still mail for one forever stamp.

We live in a Dutch heritage area so this card should be a hit!  Tulip time is coming!

I’m linking my card to some card challenges…

Beautiful Blossoms #39 – Anything floral goes

Spellbinders Stencil of the Month Club Birthday Card…

Hello!  I know…this is unexpected!  It was kinda fun to switch to a birthday card today!

I wasn’t sure about this stencil set and birthday cake either but it turned out so fun!

I started with picking five colors of oxide ink, Wilted violet, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Cracked Pistachio and Lucky Clover.  Using the brush ink blending tools I set to work!  I use the Wendy Vecchi Magnetic board to do stenciling.

Here’s a close up picture…I used Spellbinders cardstock for the cake and party time sentiment.

I used the Tiny Attacher on the corners of the tag and to hold the ribbon in place.

Spellbinders Nested Mini Label and Nested Postage Labels & Tag dies.

It’s like an eighth of an inch bigger than an A2 size card because I wanted more of the cardbase to show.

Are you familiar with how the Spellbinders Monthly Clubs work?  You can find all the details in my links below that take you to their webstore.  If you purchase the Deluxe Caboodle Value Club membership you receive a monthly bonus item.  This month it’s this ‘Party Time Cake’! So cute!

Spellbinders October Stencil of the Month Club Card…

Hi everyone!  The stencil of the month club is so fun this month!  I used two of the stencils to make this background, the other stencils in the set make an ornament background.  So fun.  I could’ve use this design on the ornaments too.  Ppl come up with the greatest ideas!  I need to make another card! lol

Curious about the Spellbinders Monthly Clubs? I love how they are set up… join and cancel anytime but most of the time you’re gonna want them! lol  Check them out HERE!

I just used ink pads and inked through the stencils in red and then in green on white cardstock.  It was so white I had to age it with Vintage Photo Distress ink and a blending brush, than the very edge with Walnut Stain Distress ink.  I love this look!  Smiling… I know you’re remembering this about me. lol

I die cut the Holly branch twice and glued them together, then cut a bunch of berries from the Poinsettia Spray die set.

I didn’t like it directly on the stenciled panel so I cut a piece of vellum and aged it with Vintage Photo Distress ink also.  I mounted the holly branch to the vellum with the thin mounting tape I love, linked below.  Then I used glue on the back for the vellum on the areas the branch and leaves covered so you wouldn’t see the glue from the front.

The sentiment is from the Christmas Sentiments Betterpress Plate and Die set.  I foiled it though with gold foil on red cardstock.  So pretty!

I wish I could show you in person because it’s so much more vintage/antique looking IRL!  In the photos it looks white but it’s not.  It’s so nice to be able to take photographs of everything but they never do the real thing complete justice. lol   I love it!

Have a great rest of the weekend friends and cardmakers!  Thankful for every minute.  A horrible car/tractor accident a couple miles from our small city last night.  So awful.  Just four years ago it was our youngest daughter that died this month.  I’m probably more sensitive to it this month.

My wonderful husband just made me some more shelves so I’m rearranging and need to sort and re-bin this 30 year collection of stuff! I get to work and forget I need to be doing other things too!

I’m don’t like facing the fact that I’m a stamp/die/paper addict! lol  Fortunately it’s the only thing I collect!  whew! lol!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Enjoy every moment!

Memory Box Snowflake Joy and More Card…

Hello everyone!  The name of this snowman is so cute!  Cordial Snowman….if you’re familiar with Anne of Green Gables… hehe  I don’t know why I remember that part of the movie. lol

It’s a cutie anyway!  I used paper from the NEW Nutmeg Plaid 6 x 6 pad!  It dawned on me after I used it that it was probably supposed to be for Fall but it worked out fine!

I used one plaid to Stencil on!  The New Falling Snowflakes stencil and Alene’s Glitter Snow paste worked great!

Maybe you can see some sparkle there… I did get a little messy but it’s handmade, right?!

Fortunately it was only a couple places. lol

I trimmed it down to 4 ¼ in. x 5 ½ in. matted with black cardstock then mounted on another piece of plaid from the pad…notice it’s monochromatic… I liked that a lot!  So it’s larger than an A2 size but should fit in an A7 envelope easy enough.

A little bit different angle. You can almost see a little sparkle.

I used the NEW Drifting Snowflakes die behind cutie Cordial.

Then Snowflake Joy on top!  I used a little of the thin mounting tape I love on the top of Cordial.

Cordial was easy to glue up… yay!  So were the other dies too!  When I can make a card, take pictures AND write a blog post in one afternoon, I’m a super happy camper!  I with that was every time!

More than likely I forgot something so feel free to comment or email me any questions!  I love talking to cardmakers and friends!

I will shift gears and think about supper!  Thank you so much for stopping by!

Spellbinders September Stencil of the Month Card…Colorful Pumpkins

Happy Fall y’all!  I think I say that every year!  I should do some subtracting as to how long I’ve been blogging!  A long time! lol

Super, super fun stencil set!  So easy too!  I used Distress Oxide inks… so many colors would work!  I used Carved Pumpkin, Antique Linen, Wilted Violent, Peacock Feathers and Peeled Paint.  I used an old splatter stamp in dark brown ink.

I cut a ticket tag from the Nested Postage Labels and Tag die set, inked it with Distress Gathered Twigs and stamped Happy Fall from last years stamp and die of the month set for September.  I’ll link below if it’s still on the site.  It is!  $5 for the stamp set and $3 for the die set!  WOW!  Links below!

Tie on with some twine.

Die cut a pumpkin, gourd and some dies from last years die sets and it was done!  They’re amazing sale prices too!

An A2 size card.
