Just to make you smile! A super cute new kit from poppystamps! Whittle Racing Giraffe! I didn’t use the race car yet but I think it’d be so cute for a new driver or one that just got their drivers license!

I went with one I could use for a graduate or anyone on their way up the ladder! There are several sentiments included in this cute kit! All so fun!

I die cut, colored and inked the cuts. So easy with the lines that impress when you cut guiding you where to color!

Then I chose some pattern papers from the Memory Box Anemone Grove 6×6 paper pad, one for the sky and one for the grass, tore the edge on the grass…. paper piecing the background so to speak! lol

I like it! the little flowers in the green piece make me think of dandelions or clover!

This is a mini slimline size card. 3 ⅛ in. 6 in.

Wow! What a busy Spring it’s been! Are you finding that too?

Events with Grandchildren that we love doing. A wedding! Last weekend our oldest grandson was in a bike race in Burlington, IA! That was mind blowing! I cannot believe how fast they can ride those bikes! One of my sisters passed away last Thursday. Sad. I’m 7th of 8 children so three have passed now. So instead of weddings being the cause of family reunions, now it’s funerals. Not near as fun!

We’re enjoying being outside more for sure! Hope all is well for you and you’re keeping up with cardmaking! hoho!

Memory Box Budding Gladiola Stem Mini Slimline Card…

Hi everybody! Aren’t the flowers beautiful everywhere?! In real life and in cardstock!

I’m sharing a card with the NEW Memory Box Gladiola release….there are several Gladiola dies in the release…all beautiful!

I die cut in white Hammermill 100# color copy cardstock and colored with Copics this time.

I used V12, 15 and 17 for the purple and YG25, 17 and 67 for the green. Simple coloring…

Two NEW 6×6 pattern paper pads too! Gladiola Plaid and Glimmering Gladiola. I used a piece from both pads.

I die cut the rectangle with the Memory Box Slim Basic Rectangle die set. I had to run it through the die cut machine twice though because I wanted it shorter for this mini slimline size.

The sentiment on the front is the Memory Box Posh Happy Birthday Hot Foil Plate and die set. I used metallic cardstock and black hot foil.

On the inside, which I forgot to take a picture of, I used the Birthday Wishes to you on your very special day from the Memory Box Joyful Moments stamp set.

I love this mini slimline card size. 3 ½ in. x 6 in. this time. It’s just a dainty, charming card!

Memory Box Gladiola Blossom and Leaves Birthday Card…

Hi everyone! Have you seen the NEW Memory Box Gladiola Release? I’m not sure how many flowers we’re up to now but a gal could make a big bouquet if she had a notion to!

Easy card here…I picked two patterns from two 6×6 paper pads, cut them in strips, used scor-tape on the back to hold them together, then glued it to a white cardbase.

I die cut the Gladiola Blossom and Leaves die in Neenah heavyweight white cardstock and ink blended on the colors.

A little Shaded Lilac Distress on the flower petals, then Wilted Violet Distress on the stamens and on the edges of the flower petals.

For the leaves I used Altenew inks, Shadow Creek and Mountain Pine.

I used my favorite thin mounting tape to adhere the flower and a little on the right side of the Happy Birthday to you circle sentiment Greeting Tab.

And it was done! A2 size. I love this green plaid! It looks like the green outside right now! We’ve had lots of rain so everything is growing beautifully!

Spellbinders SimonHurley Tulip Trio Card…

Move over Hallmark here comes a 5 x 7 card! haha It’s really hard to trim down the large embossing folders sometimes and I needed the space for these wonderful tulips and sentiment!

I pretty much followed the color scheme on the packaging. There are so many pretty tulips this time of year…how do you decide!

I die cut in color cardstock and then inked with Distress Oxide inks and the ink blending brushes. Very fun… I love how easy it is to use the oxides. They match up so well with most cardstocks.

Thinking of you is from the Simon Hurley Handwritten Sentiments set. 24 cutting dies…pretty much words for any occasion! I used kraft and black cardstock thinking dirt! haha

We live close to one of the Dutch areas of Iowa. Tulip Time is coming up in another week. I hope there’s some tulips left! Our grandchildren have been practicing for marching in the band, the Dutch dancing and marching with the homeschool group. So I’m sure I’ll be going to watch it all!

I almost forgot! My white background panel is the Simon Hurley Twirling tulips embossing folder. So pretty. Two cards using it back a few posts.

poppystamps Nordic Flower Pots and Stems with Nordic Flower Heads Card…

I’m off on this color scheme again! Such a terra cotta pot girl! lol Poppystamps Nordic series for Spring was fun to create with. I used some scraps and the plaid from a previous release to make this A2 size card.

Nordic Flower Pots and Stems die, Nordic Flower Heads die and Nordic Bird Bunch die, all from poppystamps.

It’s hard to see in my photos but I die cut the Memory Box Pinpoint Leaf Plate in the kraft rectangle panel. You can see it much better holding it in your hand!

I used the Happy Birthday in the poppystamps Birthday Banners stamp and die set.

The plaid strip is from the Memory Box 6×6 Anemone Plaid paper pad.

The kraft cardstock is from Hobby Lobby and the white cardbase is Neenah.

I inked everything with a little Gathered Twigs Distress ink and a mini ink blending tool. A little Copic coloring on some of the floral pieces.

The Nordic Flower Heads and Bird Bunch dies have a lot of options! Very fun… I went a little country but I’m anxious to see what everyone else does with them!

I’m a little sidetracked right now. I’ve been making bread again but just a couple weeks ago started sourdough! Any bread bakers out there that read my blog? hehe It’s fun and yummy! I want to try English Muffins and Bagels!
