Tulip Time…

A pretty little Dutch girl… perfect for Tulip Time in May!  Marianne Design EWS 2203 is the clear stamp I used.  She is inked and stamped with Colorbox Wicked Black ink on Canson Manga Drawing Heavyweight card and colored with Distress markers.  I used a sentiment from Marianne Design Stampfairy Cling Stamp Sentiment set. It’s really a clear stamp set but they call it cling.  They stamp up really well on Bazzill texture card-stock using Versafine Onyx Black ink… surprising!  It’s hard to stamp words on Bazzill usually!

Tulips, Anja’s Leaves (new this month), fence and grass dies from Marianne Design too.  Charming dies and so fun to create little vignettes with!

The oval is a Spellbinders Floral Ovals die and the corners, an old Cuttlebug corner die.

May Day’s around the corner…

How about a Marianne Design May basket and some sweet little flowers just for you!  The teeny little leaves come with the basket die.. a little rose too but I didn’t use it this time.  The “just for you” are new word dies… cool!  Several words to mix and match!

One of my favorite things to do with die cuts is to cut 3 or 4 and layer them together…started it years ago and still love the look… hope you can see how it enhanced the words and the basket… yes,  I did get a little gluey! hehe

I love the MME paper pad… and especially this floral piece… course you know that.. I used it last week too! lol

A  Martha Stewart border, a Marianne Design stitching stamp and it’s good to go… oh,  don’t forget the Spellbinders Nestabilities!

Kinda charming!  Hope you have a fun weekend planned with some stamping and flowers  involved!  AND some shopping!

Happy Easter…

I don’t have a new card to share today but I pulled this Happy Easter card out of the “archives”…   So cute!

We’re enjoying the weather in IA… 6 of the grands here to play yesterday afternoon… so fun!  A couple of the girls and I cut scrap paper into useable sizes part of the time… fun to see that paper stack up.  Now if I could just get that card finished that I started last week! ugh!  I keep moving it out of the way to do something else!  lol

Dark Chocolate…

It’s a dark chocolate cuppy cake kind of day!  My card for the reminder post over on the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge blog.  The challenge going on right now is a color challenge.. Blue, Brown and Tan.  I really meant for this to be a true blue card but the new Farmhouse 8×8 pattern paper pad was hogging my desktop, crying for use,  so I went with it. Ugh!  So my card is “kinda blue”! Rolling my eyes…@@   At least I got the brown right and kraft is tan,  isn’t it?  Today it is the new tan!!! lol  Head over and create for a chance to win!

The half doily is cut from one of the pieces of pattern paper in the pad.  Hug Snug ribbon dyed with a Walnut Stain distress stain.  All the pieces are edged with Walnut Stain Distress ink and the ink blending tool. Instead of messing with thread for the buttonholes,  I cut a sliver of card-stock to thread the button with… glue it on the back… slick.

The cupcake die is so cool…the bottom embosses,  I used a little copic marker from the bottom up on the cupcake paper… Y28… the dark chocolate is enhanced with E40, 44,47,49.   I tried vintage shard glass glitter on the top but just didn’t like it w/the more old fashioned feel of the papers so took it off and colored it and added the button instead!  The cupcake logo is stamped on a piece of the paper from the pad too.

So that’s my bit of shabby chic for today.  Wish it was healthy to eat these things for breakfast, lunch and supper!  Hey,  just stick a carrot in the top!  Carrots make everything healthy, right?! ha!  oh that reminds me of the broccoli ATC I made for a friend one year… it was a picture of a broccoli cake!  She hates broccoli! lol

I found the picture of it…hahaha… well,  I think it’s funny anyway! lol

She’s cute, she’s in a hurry…there’s a sale somewhere and she’s gotta get there!!!  Hilarious coming from me… I don’t even like to shop!  well,  except for stamp stuff!   This is CC Designs New Laugh Christmas Car, part of the October release… I know,  I’m coming in at the last minute!  That is common for me! lol

The inside… two new sentiments sets for Christmas… love them. Combining the sentiments is so fun! On the outside words from the Big Christmas Wishes set. So fun… the banners are the CC Cutters Tag die, shortened! Martha Stewart holly and branch punches.  Magnolia Doohickeys new flower die.

The paper is Season’s Greetings 6×6 pad from Echo Park,  out of stock right now at ATS…bummer BUT the Authentique Wonder pad is back in stock!   The rick rack is an EK Success chain punch.  I colored Laugh with Promarkers and Tria markers.  The grays are Copics.  All That Scraps has Promarkers now!

skin – ivory, Tria 9220, Dusky Pink, Sunkissed Pink  ( need to work on the skin combo)

dress – Pear Green, Marsh Green
