Pam Sparks CAS(e) Sketch cards

Crazy thing…I thought, oh, this looks like a fun sketch…take the challenge Pam!

CTS_167

Hey, CAS is hard!!! lol Three cards later and I give up! lol

First card…I thought, use the Memory Box Grand Happy Birthday! Brilliant! until I decided to keep it all Memory Box dies/stamps. Didn’t really have a MB stamp that would work… I tried a few different alphabets…oh eek…should’ve started over but nah, try something else! haha  I’ll show it to you anyway.  I love enamel dots! lol

Pam Sparks Birthday wishes CASE sketch

Then I remembered these old Spellbinders labels and decorative dies….sure…give it a try or several tries! lol

Pam Sparks SB CAS(e) sketch

Be kind now…quit laughing!  I knew it, I shouldn’t have posted this one! lol

I really like the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle dies though, don’t you?! lol

I’m gonna be courageous and link up this next one to the challenge…

Pam Sparks Labels thanks

and tell you all thanks for hanging in here with me!  The thanks is a cool poppystamps die! The label is an old Spellbinders and there’s that SSS Stitched Rectangle set again.

I experimented and took a picture with my phone.  Amazing… I did edit some but still…the quality is crazy good!

Pam Sparks CAS(E) thanks 2

Oh, I did stamp a scratchy looking stamp on the labels. And I used up SIX brads!  YAY! lol

Here’s the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge blog…. go ahead, give it a try! Fabulous cards from the team over there!

Thanks for stopping by today…I have a few cards for TE and cards for Printworks to post soon!  So there’s hope! lol

I used this super cute Skateboard Tilda… she’s been playing hard… she must’ve skinned her knee and forgot to pull her jeans back down! lol  Behind her is the Vintage Swedish Background stamp.

I colored with Distress Markers…her hair got a little dark, oops, I used Vintage Photo first but didn’t like it so I went back and used Gathered Twigs over it.  Next time I’m just going to use Gathered Twigs and see what that looks like.

Her face is a light wash of Vintage Photo and then Tattered Rose,  like I did in a video…under the header photo you’ll find the video tab…pull down.

Shirt  and tennis shoes are Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick.  Faded Jeans on the jeans.  Tree trunks are Gathered Twigs.  Grass is Mowed Lawn.  Sidewalk is Pumice Stone.  Skateboard is Shaded Lilac. Sky is Tumbled Glass.

Stamped with Ranger Archival Black ink on Canson Motval 90# watercolor paper.

I cut the scene with some new (to me) Square Spellbinder dies and then floral corners are from Magnolia.  Flower Swirl Corner DooHickeys die.

The finished card is 5 ½ in. square.

A cute, Copic colored card to show you today… This image and sentiment are from a clear stamp set by Darcie’s called Pile on the Leaves.  Super cute images for this time of year. Brings back so many childhood memories of playing outside in the leaves. I won the guest designer spot over on the ABC Challenges blog and the theme right now is Fall!  Thank you for having me!

Magnolia, Tilda’s Town Challenge…

_MG_6149-002

Happy New Year!   Our challenge to you this week at Tilda’s Town challenges is to create something for the New Year!

Tilda’s Town is a most magical shop specializing in Magnolia Stamps. Over 1,100 stamps in stock at all times. Tilda’s Town offers FREE worldwide shipping on every order, every day. You can also save up to an additional 20% on your purchase by using one of the famous coupon codes. Shop at http://www.tildastown.com and live the magic.

I used a couple older Magnolia stamps from the So Jolly collection @ Tilda’s Town. com, HERE and the snowflake DooHickeys die HERE.

I stamped on PTI card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Die cut the Fir in Snow image with Spellbinders rectangle die, left it in the die and embossed it.  Colored in the snowflakes with white gel pen.  Let them dry and then used Distress ink pads in Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Faded Jeans, applied with the Ink Blending tool while the image was still in the die.  The Calendar stamp is colored with Copic Sketch Markers.  Stardust stickles on the snowflake and circles.

The pattern paper is from SEI… two years ago, maybe three… who knows! lol  I purchased three sheets of it and I still have one left!  It’s so pretty.   Do you remember my House Mouse card?  I used it then too… it’s HERE… I loved this card.  Are you ever that way?  Every once in awhile I have a card I just love more than others… hehe   So, make that three years… the date of this post was 2009!  My how time flies!

I used my Perfect Paper Layering Tools… link over there on the right!  Yes, YOU need them… they are awesome!  : )   Use that Christmas cash! HOHOHO

Happy New Year to you dear stamping friends!  It’s been a great year and 2013 is looking even better!  Why? Because today our internet service was fixed!!!  I have been limping a long with less than stellar service for a couple years.  The last several months it’s progressively gotten worse until this last week it’s been less than 1 mbps when it’s supposed to be up to 15 mbps!!!   I am in shock today to be speeding along!  I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry!  All that to say,  I hope I get around better this year!  I should!!!!

It’s a joy following and sharing this wonderful stamping and paper-art hobby with you!  Thanks again for a wonderful 2012 and looking forward to 2013!

Be sure to scroll down for the great sale at the Scrapping Center!  Trust me,  it’s amazing!  hehe

Scrapping Center SALE and Caroling Daisy…

20% off PLUS an additional 10% off when  you use the code VETERANS!

The best part of waking up is not Folgers in your cup anymore!!!  It’s waking up to a SALE! lol

🎄 🎄 🎄

Meet Caroling Daisy… a new clear stamp from the Don and Daisy line by Marianne Design.  She is stamped on Hammermill 80# Color copy paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Promarkers and Flexmarkers.  The pattern paper is from the NEW Fancy Pants Christmas 6×6 pad.

I used the new Book die from Marianne Design and stamped a stamp from Embossing Arts on the book page.  I had to use a negative mask (I made it by stamping and cutting out what I wanted to stamp)  to stamp the image.

Martha Stewart holly branch punch and holly border punch. ok – the holly branch punch is hard to find, some places say discontinued… I found it at Blue Moon, link below… if you want it… grab it while you can!  The JOY sentiment is from Printworks Collection.

I wish I’d thought to stickle up the candle beams… there is always something I think of after the fact… this is already version 2! lol

Believe it or not,  I used the Sweet Stop Sketches sketch for my card!!! lol   I’m going to go ahead and link it up even though I had to take a detour or two! hehe

Thanks for stopping by!  I appreciate it! I love hearing from you and appreciate all your awesome comments and friendship!!!
