just “beachy”…

****

Emma says “Seas the day!”   Reality is… yikes where did the morning go!  I got up at 5:45 a.m.!   I didn’t realize my E000 and E00 needed refilled,  so that equals ruined skin and not from the sun either! lol  Do over… ugh!   At least I used a piece of ribbon!  Why do I have all this ribbon anyway! lol   Oh and I used a deep edger EK Success punch I don’t know if I’ve used before!  Good for me!!!  hip hip hurray!  I even used the stamps I was supposed too! lol

*****

I drew the two lines in the background with a copic multi liner pen… then colored the water and the sand with Copics.  Everything is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Hammermill Color Copy 80# Cover and colored with Copic Sketch markers.  Rosies Roadshow cloud template and Memento Summer Sky ink to ink up the clouds. I used the stamp a ma jig to stamp “Seas the day!”  along the bottom of the card.  A sweet Summer card… Did you have a nice weekend?  I shopped to much… didn’t even leave home! lol  Read a couple books… ttul!

Marianne Design Basket Birthday Wishes…

***

If the woodgrain stamp is on my desk…I have to stamp it! hahaha… some stamps are just like that!  I really like the white basket on it though… I made the roses with the smallest flower from the CC Designs Phlox die and followed the tutorial on McGill’s website for mini roses HERE.  The basket is Marianne Design, the big leaf is a new die from her and so are the two new greenery dies I used with the roses in the basket.  The little white flowers are punched out of white card-stock and it’s hard to see them but there are three Martha Stewart pine branches punched out of brown card-stock in with the roses and greenery too.

The sentiment on the outside and on the inside are from CC Designs AmyR Stamps sentiment sets… Birthday Wishes is from the Great Greetings Set  and Thinking of you today is from the Best Birthday Wishes Sentiment set.  I used my Perfect Layers tools to mat … love them!

Swiss Pixies Butterfly Lucy for Sweet Stamping Pixies Challenge #3…

It’s the second Monday of the month and that means it’s Sweet Stamping Pixies Challenge time!  The challenge starting today is… your favorite fairy, pixie or sprite!

Here’s Butterfly Lucy from CC Designs to charm you with a little scene I created.  I woke up at 4:19 Saturday a.m. with the idea to make the new fence die a heart fence… well…then I had to figure out how to do it because most punches punch from the bottom and would be upside down if you tried to punch from the top!  Here’s a video to show you how I did it!  I love it!  Hope you’re inspired to try it too!

You can click over to YOU Tube if you want to watch the video in High Definition. Click on the gear looking thing next to the red talkie box and it’ll let you choose HD.

My first Fence video is HERE.

A close up photo of the fence…

Butterfly Lucy is stamped with Colorbox Archival Wicked Black ink on Canson Manga Drawing heavyweight paper and colored with Distress Markers.  I stamped the Butterfly Logo with Versafine Onyx Black ink on Bazzill Dawn card-stock and cut it out with a Fiskars mini pinking scissors.

The Flower Border die is cut out of three colors of card-stock.  I leave the green together and glue the pink and yellow on top of the green.  The Grass Border die is die cut and then crimped with Quilling Creations crimper!  LOVE this fun tool!  Links below…

The three yellow butterflies flitting around the scene are an EK Success paper shapers punch… the tree limb is my favorite Leafy Branch die from CC Designs Cutters… links below.  I used the Rosie’s Roadshow cloud template, Tumbled Glass Distress ink pad and ink blending tool to make my cloud background.  I edged the papers and fence with Distress inks and the blending tool.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  oh,  this was long but I hope you had a good time!  I had fun creating this to share with you!  Hope you can click over to check out the SSPC blog too!

Happy Easter…

I don’t have a new card to share today but I pulled this Happy Easter card out of the “archives”…   So cute!

We’re enjoying the weather in IA… 6 of the grands here to play yesterday afternoon… so fun!  A couple of the girls and I cut scrap paper into useable sizes part of the time… fun to see that paper stack up.  Now if I could just get that card finished that I started last week! ugh!  I keep moving it out of the way to do something else!  lol

Take care and ttul!

NEW Wings stamp set and die…

Isn’t it so much fun to have dies to match stamps?!!!  I’m lovin’ the fun things to create with dies and stamps! Today I used one of the butterflies from CC Designs new Wings Stamp set and the CC Designs Cutter Wings die.  I stamped the butterfly, used my clear die cut template I cut with the guide holes for marking where to place the die on the stamped butterfly before you cut,  then cut!  I love this butterfly with the dots… I used my Japanese screw punch to punch the holes and wrapped the center with wax linen.

So fun to get out some other stamp sets with a butterfly theme to use too… this is the Butterfly Postage Rubber Stamp set.  The dotted line on the postcard is from a Marianne Design border clear stamp set called Don and Daisy Decorations.

I cut the red doily out of the October Afternoon Thrift Shop paper… the pattern paper for this card is all from this 8×8 paper pad.

Happy Spring wishes winging your way!  ttul!
