Memory Box Spirit of Christmas…

Hi everyone! Here it is a beautiful day in October and I’m inside typing up a blog post!  My priorities. lol

I have stamps that need used though, so it’s so easy to keep busy and forget to get a supper plan! oops!

Today I’m using two stamps from the new Spirit of Christmas stamp set and coordinating die set.  The Poinsettia and the sentiment.

I stamped the poinsettia, leaves and berries (from the Holiday Greenery stamp set) in Memento Tuxedo Black on Copic X-press it cardstock and colored with Copic Sketch markers. I die cut the poinsettia and cut the leaves and berries by hand, then I colored them.  I used the R24 and 27,  YG93 and 95, T7 for the shadow.

I cut a x-press cardstock white panel 4 x 5 ¼ inches and stamped some branches from the Winter Greenery stamp set in Olive ink.

I stamped the sentiment from the Spirit of Christmas set in Lawn Fawn Lobster ink.   I love this set… the perfect sentiment for the inside is in the set also.  “Wishing you a Merry Christmas”.  I like how the Copic x-press it cardstock takes the stamp pad ink.

I made an A2 card base from Taylored Expressions Sweet Basil cardstock. Taped on the white panel and mounted the leaves and berries and poinsettia with foam mounting tape.

That’s it… fun to color!  Holler if you have any questions!

Memory Box Evergreen Sky, Lamplight Tree, Small Pine Tree and Tall Fir Collage Tunnel Card and Video…

Happy World Cardmaking day to all my cardmaking friends and paper crafters!

My last post inspired me to attempt to turn the same dies into a tunnel, diorama, shadow box card that collapses and is mailable!

So here’s the video, click this link to watch it in High Definition which is so much better! And I did get the tree glued back together and you can’t even tell! YAY! lol

I tried to get pictures of the sparkle but it’s really hard to capture glitter paper and do it justice. You’ll just have to believe me on how beautiful this cardstock is! ❤

Here I held it under the light trying to show how light shines down through it…

Thank you for clicking over today! It’s raining here…a good day to stay inside and play with stamps, dies and paper!

Holler if you have any questions.

Memory Box Berry Wreath Thinking Of You…

Hi everyone! A thinking of you card today using the NEW Berry Wreath stamp set and coordinating die set.  It just made me think of bittersweet!

I stamped with Archival Coffee ink on Memory Box watercolor card, die cut the wreath and colored with Distress Ink Pad Reinkers.  I have some palettes I made with the reinkers so I worked with oranges/reds, greens and Vintage Photo for the brown.

I made an A2 cardbase with Taylored Expressions Toffee cardstock and inked the edges with the foam ink blending tool and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

I mounted the wreath and sentiment with foam tape and tied on some thin jute to add that little bit extra!

I wasn’t careful painting at all… as you can tell! lol  I spritzed the wreath with water in an area, then added the ink from a brush, then moved on to the next area.  I didn’t worry too much about going outside the lines.

It feels like Fall!

Thanks for clicking over to my blog today!  We have three birthdays for grandkids this week so I’m working on birthday cards too.  WOW!  They grow up fast! ❤  I will try to share the cards here too!

poppystamps Holly Background Card…

Hi everyone!  A paper pieced Inlaid die cut card to share with you today!  It sure is hard to cover up a neat background! lol

I started by cutting the Holly die in the gingham pattern paper. There were only 5 or 6 inside pieces to keep track of to place back in!  I was surprised!  Dave thought that out for us and made it easy!  YAY!  I die cut in TE Oreo cardstock and placed it in the gingham rectangle, flipped it over, covered it with 2 inch Scor-tape and started piecing in the leaves, berries and branch leaves.

The gingham paper is from the Pebbles Merry Merry Collection from a couple years ago, called Holly Berries 733552.  It’s the back side. Maybe you have it in your stash! ❤

I used the dot papers from the NEW Garland Stipes and Dots paper pad from Memory Box.  The solid leaves were just some cardstock scraps.

Then I die cut the Memory Box Bubble Circles medium size die three times, glued them together, then punched some circles and glued them on for the berries/bubbles on the circles.  I was going to tie jute around the panel and under the sentiment BUT I forgot the plan and taped it to the cardbase so I had to come up with another plan! haha

I like it! lol

The sentiment is from the super fun new Memory Box stamp set Christmas Tiles.  I drew around the stamp with a pencil to get the shape and hand cut it out so it’s not perfect but hey, it adds to the charm, right?! haha

It’s an odd size but will still fit in an A7 envelope and mail for one forever stamp!

Thank you for stopping by today!  Holler if you have any questions!

p.s.  Breanna is coming home today! She’s very weak but we’ll get her fed better and get her stronger to fight this!  So thankful!  Keep praying for us!  We appreciate it so much!

Memory Box Pumpkin Card…

After making the stamp video the other day, I was in the mood to stamp and color this new pumpkin!  No great technique or anything… just stamping on MB watercolor card, coloring with Distress Ink Refills (I need to clean off my desk and get out a different coloring medium, lol).  I enjoy how the Distress ink refills work for watercolor though and the colors are so nice for this time of year!

I think this pumpkin would make a great shape card or place cards or what else?

For the cardbase, I used TE Sweet Basil cardstock and stamped poppystamps Picnic Plaid stamp on it with TE Sweet Basil Ink.

I didn’t want Halloween words so I used Grateful for our friendship from the Wild Rose Stem stamp set.

This stamp set with the pumpkin has great words for the banner though.

This turned out an odd size but it will still fit in an A6 envelope for a regular forever stamp!  YAY!

Thanks for clicking over!  We so appreciate all your thoughts and prayers for our family.  Breanna is making progress.  We’re so happy and so grateful! ❤
