Tilda Birthday Card…

AmandaB-dayMar10

Happy Weekend and finally getting Amanda’s birthday card made!  Only a month late!  I’m the mom,  so I can be late…yikes!  lol  This one took a few days…struggled trying to figure out what to do with that present punch.  Tried coloring on a new card-stock that a friend sent… fun!  I like it a lot…Papertrey Ink!   Trickier to cut out the heavier weight stock but otherwise I love how it colors up!

  • Tilda with Gifts
  • Stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
  • Colored with Copic Sketch Markers
  • Basic Grey Kioshi 6×6 paper pad
  • Martha Stewart present punch – I punched in white card-stock and colored all the presents, then gave it the scratchy look with Stampin Up’s Sanded background stamp
  • EK Success small scallop border punch
  • Happy Birthday circle that I’ve had forever but it’s so fun pulling out the stamps I haven’t used in some time!  From Cat’s Life Press
  • ribbon is from May Arts

I actually finished the inside of this card! Then I had to go and forget to take a picture of it! I used some of the coordinating pattern paper from the pad and a cool stamp from Printworks (sale going on right now,  email me for the newsletter).

Catch you later!

Honey Tilda birthday!

Another Easel card…this style really works well for the 6×6 papers and folds up so nice, but most of you already know that because you’ve been making them! lol
The challenge at Just Magnolia blog is an easel card this week…
The challenge at Friday Sketchers blog is the sketch I used….
The Challenge at Cute Card Thursday is anything you like to celebrate each year…birthdays, anniversaries, etc…
The challenge at Saturday Spotlight blog is birthdays and using your birthstone color (mine is aquamarine)….
The challenge at Copic Creations blog is to use your favorite coloring technique from their challenges the last year (mine is coloring black)

Here’s a close up of Honey Tilda sitting on the Honey Jar – so sweet!

Honey Tilda and jar are stamped on 100% cotton Bristol card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch markers, The warm grays… y11, 15, 17, 19…YR 21, 23, 24… E50, 000, 00, 11…R22, 24, 27, 59.   The copics really blend easily on this stock but oooooh watch out,   they bleed really quick!  Reminds me of the Canson Manga card weight paper pad.   I like it and look how it changes the flesh colors…the ink doesn’t soak in as much either IMO.

I think that’s it!  Happy weekend and stamping!  It’s all pretty here again…covered with snow! lol

Tilda Blowing Hearts…

TildaBlowingHearts2Feb10

I’m so hoping to get Valentines done this week to send to our Grandchildren…not sure it will happen but I want to! I stamped Tilda Blowing Hearts with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Supersmooth Classic Crest 80# card-stock and colored her with Copic sketch markers. (I had her face colored nicely yesterday and then today, I thought I could improve on it and yukked it up! boohoo!  I guess it doesn’t really work to come back 18 hours later and start re-coloring. I get tired of education some-times,  don’t you?!!!  I used the Copic clear Spica glitter pen on her wings. I cut my Bazzill card-stock to 5.5 x 11 in. and scored it at the half mark with my scor-it board.
I stamped on Eclipse tape and then cut inside the lines to create a mask to cover her so I could stamp the Love Heart background over the top of her. I created flowers with the Nellie Snellen flower punch and embosser small size. The stamen is an old Family Treasures punch. Quickutz scroll dies from a Revolution 4×4 die. The red border is a new Martha Stewart scallop heart border punch and the older doily lace border punch on the bottom. I cut the Tilda image out with the Nestabilities label four set, the largest one. The black piece I traced around the die and hand-cut it…not hard at all…but I love to cut!
I’m entering this in some challenges…

Thanks for coming by! Happy Stamping!
