Gingerbread Tilda…

tildaginger600dec1210

Hi everyone!  Tomorrow is the last day Tim and I have two of our grandchildren.  We head to the airport to meet their Mom, Dad,  new brother and  new sister (from Bulgaria) tomorrow evening!!!   oh wow!  All I can say is…it’s a challenge to stamp with children in the house! lol  Anyone that stamps with children in the house has my total admiration!  ok – so that definitely gives away my age! lol

Gingerbread Tilda is part of the new ♥ Merry Little Christmas ♥ release from Magnolia.  She is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch markers.

I used labels 14 for the holly, heart, pine embellishment and my new Waltzingmouse Labels 14 stamp set.  The papers are October Afternoon, Very Merry set,  from last year.  The gingerbread border is a Martha Stewart punch.  The snowflakes and holly are an EK Success punch  The holly border is an Anna Griffin paper ribbon from M’s.   Cherry Cobbler and Chocolate Chip cardstock from Stampin Up.  The circles are cut with Nestabilities Circle and Scallop circle dies.

I guess my time is up… I hear yelling! lol  It will be so quiet here Friday….I will miss the kids terribly but I bet I’ll sleep until 10 a.m. on Friday! lol

EDA:  forgot to post that this was supposed to be my Sweet Stop Sketch card for last Saturday!  eek!  A lot late!  Here’s the sketch…

All I want for Christmas…

I’m stuck on the Front Panel Side Step card… help! lol  Oh, I had fun thinking about this card and making it happen! Scroll down several posts for the one I made with Native American Tilda.  I love this Santa from Magnolia’s new Merry Little Christmas collection.  The little holly by the sentiment is also from this collection.  I LOVE holly!  I dyed the pearls red with Adirondack alcohol ink.  cool!  The sentiment is from Amy R’s new Holiday Greetings set.  You know I love it! lol

Isn’t the Mistletoe border to die for?!!!  I love it!  I just did a little bit of shaping on the back side with my shaping tool on a mouse pad and then edged it with black soot distress ink and my ink blending tool.  Added the pearls and used some mounting squares so it’s popped up a bit.  The pattern paper is BG Jovial and the red paper I stamped the brick pattern on is from the new 8×8 October Afternoon Seaside paper pad.  A really neat pad.

This is my card for  Crazy 4 Challenges want to see a Christmas card or project…

Thanks for stopping by!  I appreciate it!

Tilda in her Christmas Coat for Sweet Stop Sketches Saturday…

A Winter coat would feel real good here in Iowa today!  brrrr  The wind makes it seem colder than it is!  The cold means Christmas is coming!  I’ve colored Tilda with her Christmas coat, with Copic Sketch Markers. I used a Merry Christmas sentiment and Nestabilities dies to cut the ovals. The pattern paper is NOEL from Making Memories 8×8 pack, the paper ribbon on the bottom is from Anna Griffin and the buttons and the ribbon are from “the collection”.  Lots of fond childhood Winter memories… so this is rather nostalgic!

My Tilda card is for the Sweet Stop Sketches Challenge Post today…Hope you can take the challenge!

Magnolia, Tilda Time – I’m Blessed that you are my friend…

Native American Tilda is so perfect for this time of year.  You can find her at Tilda’s Town.com, HERE. I used her to make a Front Panel step card of some call it a Center Step Card.

I’ve been thinking about this card all week and finally figured out how to cut and fold it with only a couple mess-ups!  I was able to remedy one, because I cut too far, by adding mats on the inside…

Cards that stand up are so fun!  I used a 5.5 x 11 inch piece of card-stock… it’s a type of stair step… diagram below (minus the wrong cuts) lol … I think 6 x 12 inch card-stock would work great too. I used Kraftin Kimmie’s Thankful Sentiment set.  Love these sets! The pattern paper is Max and Whispers from Basic Grey.  I’m linking my card to the Copic Creations Challenge Blog…use brown and create a scene!

Here it is from the side…

I kinda get tired of laughing at myself actually…. ha!  If I figure out how to add some flowers to this,  I’ll let you know! lol

The card folded up flat…

  • Lili is from Inky Impressions rubber stamps,  HERE
  • The apple charm is also from Inky Impressions, HERE
