Hi everyone! Playing with new poppystamps dies this week and a new stamp too!

I inked up the new poppystamps 5 ½ x 5 ½ inch Picnic Plaid stamp with three Distress Oxide Inks using the Tim Holtz travel stamp platform. I used the panel inked with Forest Moss for this card. I like it a lot! It stamped really well. Easy to clean up because the stamp platform cover comes off, I was able to take it directly to the sink to wash the ink off between changing ink colors. Dried with a clean, damp shammy.

I die cut the plaid panel with one of the Memory Box Rectangle Basics dies to match up behind the Sidekick frame.

Using the stencil that comes with the die, I inked up the poppies with regular Distress inks and the make up brushes that look like toothbrushes. I used Barn Red, Festive Berries and Fired Brick. Then I went in with a color pencil and drew over the embossed lines from the die. I colored the stems with G95 Copic Sketch Marker. It matched the Forest Moss Oxide ink perfectly!

I die cut and colored a couple extra ‘parts’ from the complete die to embellish the sentiment.

‘Sending Happy Wishes’ is from the new poppystamps Springtime Greetings clear stamp set and stamped with Ranger Archival Black ink in a MISTI stamping tool.

Memory Box Egg Basket Frame Happy Easter Card…

I’m back and editing to add more photos! I decided to take off the Happy Easter and stamp hello! So keep scrolling for the original post text! lol

The sentiment ‘hello’ is from the New Memory Box Springtime Typewriter Sentiments Clear stamp set, HERE.

Which one do you like better? Don’t count that I changed the white balance on the camera so the color is different for the two cards…some days I shouldn’t be allowed to have a camera! lol

A very Happy Spring and Easter to you! These Memory Box Forget Me Nots are such sweet, little, whimsical flowers to add to the new Memory Box Egg Basket Frame.

There’s a little bit of green coming up at the base of our hydrangea bushes. Whew… it was a fierce Winter so you never know! There’s hope!

I die cut the Egg Basket Circle 3 times from kraft color cardstock and glued them together. I left one cut in the die and embossed the basket weave by going over the basket area with a stylus. Then I inked the whole thing with Gathered Twigs Distress ink and a mini ink blending tool.

I die cut the Frame part of the set from Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock. I don’t use the metal shim for these dies but because they are intricate, I die cut them with the blades up. I crank a third of the way, then crank back to start, then crank to the middle, then crank back a little but not back to start, then I crank the rest of the way but stopping and going back toward the middle and back to all the way again. Hope that makes sense. I can’t stand my cutting plates getting all warped. And this works most of the time. If I have an area that didn’t cut all the way, I change to a sidekick cutting plate, the small 2 inch wide plate and try to just cut in that area. I don’t like to try to cut the whole thing again. It makes a mess! I hate those paper hairs too. ugh.

Otherwise, just use 80# cardstock and it’ll cut without any extra maneuvering!

I backed the Frame with a Memory Box Stitched Square Layers die cut in a little darker purple cardstock.

I inked up the area behind the basket with a little Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink and a mini ink blending tool.

To top it off, I die cut the new Memory Box Happy Easter Premiere die from Gold Foil Cardstock. I love this gold!

The card is 4 ¾ inches square. You can easy mail it in an A7 envelope!

I’ve got a card to mail today, it’s so nice, I’m gonna walk it to the Post Office! yay for Spring!

Memory Box Cottage Flower Circle Frame Card…

Hi everyone! Hope it’s a lovely day wherever you are! I’m using some new Memory Box/poppystamps products today.

I started by die cutting the NEW Cottage Flower Circle and Egg Basket Frame dies in white cardstock. (I forgot to emboss the Cottage Flower Circle Frame cut… oops, normally the leaves and flowers would have some vein lines in them from the die)

I only used the Square Frame portion of the Egg Basket Frame die and adhered it directly on the Bazzill Mint Julep A2 card base.

I die cut a solid circle from the Memory Box Circle Basics Die set and inked it with three Oxide inks, Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean. Then spattered with water.

I mounted the white Cottage Flower Circle, with small pieces of mounting tape behind the flowers and leaves, to the Oxide circle, then adhered the circle directly over the Egg Basket Frame already on the card base.

I die cut the NEW poppystamps Doodle Happy Easter die three times, glued them together and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I stamped the sentiment from the NEW Memory Box Typewriter Sentiments stamp set on white cardstock, heat embossed it with white embossing powder, inked it with the three oxide inks I mentioned above, then trimmed it out with the NEW My Sweet Petunia Cut Align ruler. I LOVE it! It works great!

The flower sprig by the sentiment is a die that’s included in the Cottage Flower Circle Frame Die. I used little pieces of foam mounting tape behind the flower and leaf but glued the ends of the stems directly to the card base.

For some reason, I really like these colors together! Here’s hoping for more Easter cards since Easter is late this year. Sometimes the holidays come to close together for me to keep up! lol

poppystamps Masculine Card Today…

Hello! How about a Spring-y looking man card today!

I had some inky fun with this poppystamps Mountain Hills Plate. I love that you get the ⅛ inch frame that cuts separate with this die! And really, you could use any of the 3 scene parts by themselves too, the middle section – just partial die cut it then trim with the paper trimmer the rest of the way down. 😀

TIP: If you have trouble lining up your panel on the front of your card evenly, just lay down this ⅛ inch frame cut on your A2 card base and eyeball that panel right down inside it! My eyeballs need a lot of help! lol

I die cut it in white heavy cardstock, inked it with distress oxide inks, spattered with a little water (I like to spray a puddle of water in the palm of my left hand, then rub my hands together and clap over the card so the blobs aren’t huge) then adhered the panels to a card base.

The top blue sky is glued directly to the base. The middle panel is adhered with thin mounting squares. The bottom panel is adhered with regular mounting squares.

It’s not quite time for dandelions here but I love putting them on cards! lol Which is crazy because in my mind, I don’t like yellow. I use it but sparingly it seems. lol

I grabbed some old paper punches…I’ve kept all of mine. I used to use them a lot for paper piecing, so fun! I can’t part with my collection! Who am I kidding?! No one would want them anyway! lol oh, back on track. I used a mini flower and mini branch for these dandelions.

Then a few little puffy Memory Box clouds in the sky! A beautiful day in the neighborhood! If you live in Alaska. hehe

Hi everyone! Coming to you from the freezing winds of Iowa today! Thankful to be inside and warm-ish!

I’m so happy with how this turned out…Clean and Simple but great colors! I started with the new Memory Box Pinpoint Heart die cut in a 4.25 x 5.5 in. white cardstock panel. I stamped the sentiment ‘sending love’ from the Memory Box So Many Things To Love stamp set in the MISTI using Black Archival Ink from Ranger.

The Memory Box Woodland Branch die is an older one but one that stands the test of time! A keeper and still available! Links below.

The Memory Box Winged Heart die is new…I die cut it in red and teal and inked it with a little Peacock Feathers Distress ink and the mini ink blending tool.

I inked the A2 size card base with a little Peacock Feathers also and spattered with white ink. It didn’t show up as good as I wanted so I came back in and put white gel pen over the dried white spatters.

I used mounting tape strips on the backside of the Pinpoint Heart panel to adhere it to the cardbase. Glue on both ends of the branch adhere it to the top. Mounting tape under the heart and wings to stick it to the cardbase.
