bells.holly.bow09

The challenge at Copic Creations blog this time is coloring the color “gold”.
I Brake For Stamps provided the images for the design team and is sponsoring an awesome giveaway! Be sure to check out the details on the blog and play a long with us. WOW, I’m jealous of the winner for sure this time!
I really enjoyed coloring this Christmas bell image. Course it helps that I love red, green and holly! I used copic sketch markers and here’s the list….
Bells…Y00, 15,26,28, YR24, W3, E35
Mistletoe…YG91, G85
Holly…G20, 24, 28, 29
Bow…R20, 24,27,59, E07, W5

EK Success holly punch, Martha Stewart pine branch punch, sentiment is computer generated,  Cuttlebug embossing folder, Coluzzle circle cutter, this needed larger circles than the nestabilities.  The edge of the circle is aged with Weathered Wood distress ink.

The Never Ending Card….

Have you heard of it before?  Very fun and easy to make…here’s the video I watched and liked the best of all the ones out there…
The first photo is the front…

Then it opens like a double door to this…

Then you fold the top over and the bottom back to this…

Then you open it like double doors again to this…write your message here…

Then fold the top over and the bottom back again and you are back to the front!

Here’s a close up of the front…tried to capture the sparkle from the Glimmer Mist and spica clear glitter pen.

A very fun and easy project…well, challenging to figure out what to put where! I did one that I put pattern paper on all the squares and rectangles and that is cool too.

Inky Impressions Challenge #23

This weeks Inky Impressions challenge is to create an ornament or add an ornament to your card or project. I decided to make a tree with a wreath frame for Angelica and her lantern to go in. She is one of the new release images, so fun to color! I LOVE that!

I’m always trying to get a better photo. I struggled getting Angelica to focus, wondering if it’s because the wreath is on top of the image. Look how “in focus” the berries are…it just dawned on me that those berries should be white!!!  This is mistletoe! lol Any one know any tricks? for the picture, not my goofy mix-up! bah! lol

angelicaLanternornie09

The tree is multiple cuts from the cricut cartridge “joys of the season”…cut at 5.5 inches.  The wreath is from the same cartridge cut at 3 inches.  I used Bazzil card-stock.  The ribbon is double sided red on one side and burgundy-ish on the other side…LOVE this stuff.  Angelica is colored with sketch copic markers…so cute all decked out for Winter….on her way for a caroling party,  I’m sure!  oh, back to the ornament…white pen on the berries and Christmas red stickles. ETA, that should be white! bah!

Join us for the challenge and check out the design team call…yep,  it’s that time again!  and the info is all on the link.

Here’s a picture I took last night in the light tent before I put the white pen and stickles on…wondering if the focus is any better…love this holly paper,  Bo Bunny…no wonder I was thinking red berries!!!!!

Monday Guest Designer Spotlight at All That Scraps

Two cards today for All That Scraps blog. I’ve been coloring away and creating. Pulling out papers, punches, trying this, trying that…all part of my card creating process. I’m glad there isn’t a secret agent video taping me!!!
Here’s my first card for today…Swiss Pixies Heidi with two of the stamps from the Christmas Otis and Milo set. This was so much fun to color… I have to show you the close up first!

swissPIXheidiClose09

The top piece is the new EK Success string of light slimline border punch. I punched it in the green Bazzil card-stock. Then punched it in white card-stock…collected the white light bulbs and colored them with copic markers and stuck them in the punched holes in the green card-stock….I know, crazeeeee! The border on the edge of the green piece and the red piece is another EK Success border punch, wave with dot…not sure what the “real” name is.  Oh and there is that Martha Stewart Pine branch punch again!

swissPIXlightTopClose09

It’s hard to see but there is an embossed line the punch makes for the cord the light bulbs are attached to.
Here’s a picture of the copic markers I used for this card. The four “Y” and “YR” on the right end are what I used for her hair.  Y15 managed to escape the pile up….I used it for the yellow light bulb. E01 should have been in here too!!!  I used E000, E00, E01 and R30 on her face.  I am using a Sakura white gelly roll pen right now for the white dots. I used the clear spica glitter pen on the ornaments but you can’t see it in the photos…to bad, it’s just the nicest twinkle!

I was going to save card number two for Tuesday but that thought didn’t last! silly me!
Meet Swiss Pixes Santa Birgitta!

Hope you can see the Art Glittering System Diamond Dust glitter on her wings, cuffs and hat band…love this stuff and I hate glitter…go figure!

here’s the flower fun…

EK Success medium papershaper flower punch, The Punch Bunch leaf branch and then I used an 1/8th inch hole punch to punch the tips of each leaf…well, I was trying to make it look like mistletoe for a minute there!!! lol The Martha Stewart Pine Branch punch…the new EK Success holly punch, the punch case is read, comes in a package of two, the other is a snowflake. The brads on this card are by Bo Bunny.
Here’s a picture of the copic sketch markers I used on this card…

Miss Anya all fine and fancy….

dressed for the holiday with a flower in her hair and probably mistletoe behind her back!!!! I LOVE how these embossing folders worked on this Bazzil cardstock! Two are from Stampin Up and the words  from Sizzix but I think they are deeper than some or something! Anya is colored with copic sketch markers.

I used the sketch from The Farm Fresh Friday post on The Greeting Farm’s blog by Mercy.
