My Favorite Things ‘Right on Track’ Birthday Card…

Hi everyone! One of our granddaughters LOVES vinyl, I still call them records, but when I saw this set I HAD to have it!  I LOVE how it turned out!

These cute critters are from My Favorite Things!

I stamped them in the MISTI with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copic Sketch Markers.  A little white gel pen added after coloring. What a happy musical trio!

My pictures turned out good so there’s five of them! lol

I used an older Memory Box die, Party Music 98757 for the background but I’m linking you to the new die.

The sentiment stamps I used are from Paper Smooches which is closed now but I did see some pages of PS stamps on ebay. The name of the set is Birthday Sampler.

I just used a A2 white cardbase and on the inside I glued an extra record that I had colored.

A clean and simple card but good colorbook therapy!

I’m linking my card to some challenges…

The Neglected Stuff Challenge – this is their kick off…so fun!  I’m excited about this challenge! (my neglected stuff – the party music die and sentiment stamp set)

One of our grandson’s was telling another grandson that grandpa is a great grandpa now. His reply was, grandpa has always been a great grandpa! lol  We think our grandkids are great! ❤

Simon Says Stamp Sweet Wishes Release, Heartfelt Snowflakes Card…

Hello everyone!  No flurries here yet!  We did get some rain early this morning though.  I’m sure they’ll come at some point!  In the meantime, I’ll just take them on paper!

What a gorgeous stamp set this is!  So many stamping possibilities!  Back to the basics!

I’ve had this paper pad for a year or so, just finally using it!  I’ll link it below if it’s still available.

I cut down the 6×6 piece to 4 ½ in. x 6 in.  Stamped several stamps from the set in Versafine Onyx Black ink in the MISTI.  Wow, they stamped nice!   So fun to just stamp!

Tied on some gold cord, layered it on a glossy black cardstock and glued it to a white cardbase!   It’s around an A6 size but I’ll probably mail it in an A7 envelope.  It will post for one stamp though!  YAY!

Black snowflakes….who knew! lol  I think it’s a CAS card but the true CAS ppl will throw a fit because it’s not white.  lol  Oh well!

Linking to some challenges…

ABC Christmas – October challenge U for unusal Christmas Colors (black snowflakes) or V for Velvet

Peace on Earth #74 – inspiration board  (lots of snow)

Love Those Pretty Papers – theme is Autumn but anything goes as long as it’s pretty paper!

Addicted To Stamps and More – #479 any occasion

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I’m still busy resetting my stamp rooms.  The collection is 30 years strong.  Rather overwhelming but fortunately I don’t have other collections!  whew! lol

Enjoy this new release!

Memory Box Canyon Butterflies Card…

Hi everyone!  Still in CAS mode…but let’s try black!  I die cut the butterflies and the NEW Thank You Breezy Script from some brayered cardstock.  That was brave of me! lol

Remember the Kaleidacolor ink pads from Tsukineko?  Scroll through them HERE.  I have a bunch of them and I made a bunch of these backgrounds a couple years ago.  I didn’t write on the backs what pad I used though!  Just use any of them.  They all turn out wonderful!

This is the one I used for the butterflies and the sentiment.

I die cut the black rectangle for the front with the Memory Box A2 Rectangle Frames Die Set.

I die cut the Thank You Breezy Script Shadow die in the black panel.  You’ll need a piece of black behind it when you mount it to your card.

I mounted the panel to the white A2 cardbase with the thin mounting tape I love so much! I use a non stick scissors to cut it…it’s sticky!

Glue the butterflies together…glue the sentiment into the opening created by die cutting the sentiment shadow die.

I added a couple gems to the butterfly from the Memory Box Bright set.

I wish you could see it in person… Black is always striking but photographing with either kind of light washes it out!

That’s it!  Holler if you have any questions!  Go and get inky! lol

poppystamps Whittle Tropical Gator Kit Card…

Surprise!  Now I’m wishing I’d thought to make the bow and hoop red! lol  Happy Fourth of July friends and cardmakers!

Such cute critters from poppystamps and everything you need to make this card or another version in the kit!

Personality indeed!  They’re having a Summer good time!

I colored the die cuts with Copic Sketch Markers after I die cut them in Hammermill Color Copy 100# cardstock.

Branches – YG17, YG 67 and G99

Tree Trunks – E43, E44 and E47

Splash – B000, B00, B01 and B02

Bow and hoop – RV02 and inked a little bit with my dirty pink oxide ink blending brush

Tie – B05 and BG09

Umbrella – N2, 3, 4, 5

Gators – YG21, YG23 and inked a little bit with my dirty green oxide ink blending brush

I kept it clean and simple by just mounting the colored die cuts onto an A2 size Neenah Solar White 110# cardbase that I inked with a little bit of Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink.

Small pieces of the thin mounting tape behind the pieces and placed similar to the picture on the envelope of the kit packaging.

So cute and easy to do!  Aren’t the teeth fun?! lol

Have a beautiful holiday rest of the week and enjoy the fireworks if you can stay up late enough! haha!

Spellbinders Monthly Clubs…last day to sign up for June!

Here I am at the last minute and you still have time to get in on the June Clubs at Spellbinders! Sign up goes through today, the 27th!  Go HERE.

I’m using the Stencil of the Month Club on my card.  FIVE stencils in this set…3 for the beach balls and 2 to create a Summer scene!  BTW a one inch circle punch works to punch out the balls.  Hard to tell in my photos but I have two punched out and raised with thin mounting tape.

I used two Distress Oxide inks, Lumberjack Plaid and Prize Ribbon.  I also inked a piece of cardstock to make the background blue pieces.

SB All-Star Sentiments (half price right now!) and Simon Hurley Handwritten Sentiments (25% off right now!) for the message. Links below…

It turned out cute considering I had no idea where I was headed with it! lol

I ended up with two different color reds because I grabbed the pink blending brush to do the main red on the ball!  oops!  But it worked out because the small red circle die using the red brush gave me another red! lol

I’ll add this A2 size card to my stash of birthday cards!

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to check out Spellbinders!  There’s always a great sale going on.  I love it!
