Memory Box Chrysanthemum Bouquet…

Pam Sparks Chrysanthemum Bouquet 3

Hi everyone – today and tomorrow I have some Chrysanthemum cards to show you.

I die cut the Memory Box Chrysanthemum Bouquet  in metallic silver cardstock and in white cardstock. I die pieced the silver cut into the negative space left from cutting the white cut, adding scotch tape to the back side, then die cut it with the Stitched Rectangle Layers die.

I die cut another flower piece in white to get the flower petals and background outline flowers.

I was happy the white cut all stayed intact when it came out of the die so I could lay it back in the negative waste piece and ink blend it with Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Dusty Concord Distress inks and the mini ink blending tool.  (Putting it back in the waste piece just makes it stay in one place easier while inking.)

I was able to lay the inked flower cut over the silver flower cut and push the flower petals into place.  The scotch tape on the back of the rectangle holds the petals in place.

I used the leftover inked flower border for decorating the background.

Stamp the sentiment from the Ornamental Butterflies stamp set on the bottom of the card-base before mounting the stitched rectangle piece to the card. (I used the MISTI to stamp)

After I had the card put together I added some Copic Sketch marker coloring to the petals but I wouldn’t have really needed to. hehe  Sometimes you just need a little color book therapy  a long with die cutting therapy. lol

I hope this makes sense. I know, a video would be nice but it’s hard to stop and make a video when you want to just make more cards!  Insert smiling face.

Holler if you have questions though. It’s just fun to play around and see what you end up with. There are a couple cards I’m NOT going to show you! hehe  But I do have two more using the other Chrysanthemum dies that I’ll post tomorrow.

See you again soon!  Thanks for all your encouraging comments!  I love them and appreciate you taking the time to write them! ❤

Heads up!  Die cutting sale – I have to check out this Big Shot accessory caddy!

Memory Box Silver Springs Butterfly…

Version 2

Welcome back to my blog today…this Memory Box Silver Springs Butterfly has intrigued me since the first time I saw it!  I keep thinking it has a bit of a patriotic feel to it!  My first idea I had for it, I haven’t tried yet but I still want to and now I feel a little patriotic thing coming on… hmmmm…. do you think?

I love all the stripes I’m seeing on stamping blogs these days, so I had to make a stripe pattern paper!  I cut strips of the Memory Box Mocha cardstock in ⅝ inch strips and white cardstock in ¼ inch strips…ATG tape on the A2 card-base and just stuck the strips on.

I love MB cardstock colors but it’s hard to find unless you have a local stamp store that carries it. Good news though… Birch Press Design is carrying the Memory Box notecards which are the same colors!  Tons of other fabulous items in the store too.  Birch Press Design is part of the Memory Box family of products.

I popped the die up with mounting tape…leaving a few bits in the cut so I could hide the mounting tape easier.

I stamped the sentiment from the Ornamental Butterflies stamp set with my MISTI and Versafine Black Onyx ink.  If you haven’t tried the Stamp Shammy for stamp cleaning yet…you need it!  I love the crazy thing!  It cleans off Versafine ink with just the wet shammy!  I do clean it right away.

A few Doodlebug Enamel Dots to finish it off.  Kinda unusual but kinda trendy, I like it!  Hope you do too!

poppystamps Terrific Tricycle Birthday…

Pam Sparks Birthday Balloons & Trike

Hi everyone! Staying in out of the heat to stamp these days! So thankful for air conditioning!

When I saw these new HAPPY Balloon dies, I knew I wanted to hang the new Terrific Tricycle die from them.

So ‘happy’ with how this turned out.  It’s always a relief when something is blog worthy! lol

I die cut the balloons and trike from watercolor paper and colored with the Zig Clean Color Brush markers and the Zig Water paint brush.

I die cut the trike from black foam so the handlebars would be sturdier for tying on the buttonhole thread. Glued it to the painted trike.

I ink blended a little Tumbled Glass Distress ink on the background of an A2 size white card-base.

I figured out where the balloons would go and then stamped the sentiment from the new Ornamental Butterflies stamp set. I’m really liking the sentiments in this set and I have another card to show soon using the butterflies…pretty.

I mounted the balloons with foam mounting squares… tied on the buttonhole thread…glued the trike on, except for the handlebar area…tied the thread to the handlebars and then glued it down.  I did put a teeny bit of glue on top of the knots on the handlebars too.

Hope the card made you smile and remember your trike days! hehe

Taylored Expressions…oh crop…pasture birthday!

Pam Sparks Green Acres

I had some fun with this card for the Taylored Expressions June release.

Using the previously released Green Acres stamp set and the just released dies to coordinate, I stamped in the NEW TE Hybrid Oreo ink and colored in the sloppy style with Copic Sketch markers.

I made the ‘field’ by embossing the Bead Board Embossing Folder several times. The grass is the TE Wispy Grass border die.

A super fun card…the critters have so much personality, so cute! I can just hear that rooster crowing…get up, get up! lol

Have you heard the news? Read all about it…

So exciting!!! This weekTaylored Expressions is launching their NEW line of  Premium Ink Pads!  YES! The ink pads match 12 of the 29 colors of TE Premium 100# Cardstock! They are made in the USA…love that! The initial launch includes 10 Dye inks that are fast-drying, acid-free and have superior coverage and 2 Hybrid inks that are fast-drying, acid-free, have superior coverage, waterproof for watercoloring AND compatible with alcohol markers.  Awesome! I love them!

Pam Sparks Oops a Daisy

I chose the TE Oops a daisy stamp set to show off the New inks. I stamped the solid layer of the daisies with the NEW Premium Dye inks, Candy Corn, Lollipop and Jelly Donut. Then stamped the outline layer in Oreo Premium Hybrid ink and added in some shading with the matching Copic markers. I thought it’d be fun to show how well the Copics matched.  I cut them out and cut between a few of the petals so they would bend up a bit..

I stamped the daisies on TE Premium Sugar Cube White cardstock. I used the MISTI and the stampamajig imaging sheet for positioning the outline stamped image over the solid stamped image. So pretty… I am so happy with this card… I just love how the daisies stamped up with this ink!

Pam Sparks Oops a Daisy Close

I stamped the solid layer leaves in the NEW Granny Smith Premium Dye ink and the outline layer leaves in the NEW Peapod Premium Dye ink.

For the 3 stems, I stamped the stem stamp three times with Granny Smith ink, right side up, one upside down to get the curve right and then straightened the stamp to stamp the center stem.

I stamped the sentiment with the New Premium Hybrid Chocolate Truffle ink. I just love all the colors and the color names too!

I added three of the NEW Doodlebug Matte Sprinkles, also available in the TE webstore.

My next card uses the same stamp set…

Pam Sparks Oops a Daisy Ink Release 2

For this card I just used the solid image with the NEW inks.  This daisy comes with an outline stamp to coordinate with it but I didn’t use it here. There is a die set to match this stamp set also.

For my card, using the MISTI stamping tool, I inked up the parts of the stamp separately, that way I could clean away color before I stamped. I used ink daubers to ink the stamp! If you haven’t heard of them, they are little sponge things on a plastic case that fit on your index finger. I used the NEW Cherry Pop, Granny Smith and Peapod Premium Dye inks and the Oreo and Chocolate Truffle Premium Hybrid inks.

I die cut three of the TE Stitched Banner Stacklets, one in Sugar Cube, one in Chocolate Truffle and one in Cookie Monster TE Premium Cardstocks.

I wanted to try ink blending with the new inks, so on the Sugar Cube stamped banner, I edged it with the NEW Salt Water Taffy Premium Dye ink and the mini ink blending tool… oh, I snuck on a little of the NEW Cookie Monster Premium Dye ink on the very edges too.  use.all.the.ink. lol

TE has a free Color Chart download available HEREThe new ink colors at this time are, Cherry Pop, Lollipop, Strawberry Milkshake, Candy Corn, Lemon Meringue, Peapod, Granny Smith, Salt Water Taffy, Cookie Monster, Jelly Donut in the Premium Dye ink pads and Orea and Chocolate Truffle in the Premium Hybrid ink pads. The chart shows the matching Copic color numbers and the matching TE Premium cardstock name.

Taylored Expressions Premium Inks are available now and you can only find them at the TE webstore. Plus, check out the two ‘I Want It All’ special offers  to celebrate the arrival of our newest product!
