Pure Innocence Spring Friends and Rubiks cube birthday cards…

Family birthday time again…we had our party at the area lake yesterday afternoon for 4 family members.  Two of the cards I’ve already posted so here’s the other two!

I love this sweet Pure Innocence Spring Friend stamp set and die set from MFT stamps. It was perfect for our granddaughter Anya’s 12th birthday!

I used sentiments from Taylored Expressions Free Spirit stamp set, inked with TE Oreo ink pad and the MISTI stamping tool.

She’s colored with Copic Sketch markers and die cut with the coordinating die set also from MFT stamps. I stamped her with the MISTI and Oreo ink too.

I mounted the images on an A2 Top fold card base.

Next up is the card I made for our grandson Lane’s 15th birthday. A handsome guy that loves to do Rubiks cube and is very fast at it.  His fastest time is 20 seconds! Amazing!

I used the Memory Box Modern Tile die to get my cubes, die cutting from  black and trimming out the 9 squares to make the cubes. Then I die cut it 5 times with multiple colors.  I just cut squares of card-stock so I only cut the required number of squares.

The sentiment on the front and message (you’re awesome) on the inside are from the Taylored Expressions Bold Brushstrokes stamp set.  A perfect set for teens!  Stamped with the MISTI and TE Oreo stamp pad again…love the bold black image you can get with multiple inking and stamping.  YAY MISTI!

Memory Box Umbels dies birthday card…

Hello! These colors…just scream Spring, don’t they?  I’m sure you have it already figured out that I ink blended Distress Oxide inks for the background, the stems and butterfly on this card. The background is Broken China with a teeny bit of Cracked Pistachio here and there…love those two together…then the water drops.

I masked the white tops and butterfly with scrap paper while I was inking the stems.  In the end though, I went over the blooms with the white signo gel pen!  If you were in a hurry you could easy skip the coloring with ink pads and just die cut with colored card-stock! lol  You know, like we used to before we went ink crazy! lol

I love this new wishing you manuscript die.  I cut it three times in black and glued them together.  The happy birthday sentiment is from the poppystamps Ornamental Butterfly stamp set.

I know I’m gonna take some flack for this next picture! hehe  These flowers on this card remind me of dandelions when they’re ready to ‘poof’! lol  Anyway, I was over at one of our daughter’s a couple weeks ago and snapped this picture when the granddaughter’s showed me this irregular dandelion.  I thought is was so cool! It’s like a pom pom!  And since pom poms are so popular right now… I thought I’d share! Shoot me now… I kinda like dandelions! lol

I better tell you what dies I used for the flowers and corners on this card! From left to right I used Tall Umbels Left Corner, Adelaide Stem, Umbel Butterfly and Tall Umbels Right Corner.

This is a 5 inch square top fold card. Almost one layer…should mail easy! yay!

This is the Sketch Floral die and Thank you Manuscript die.

Doodlebug White Enamel Dots for accent…

For this card I used the Ring a Ding Corner die and Happy Bday Pop Culture Cut Out die…

Distress ink blending on Mixed Media card…

For this card I used the Palma Curve die, Stitched Bloom Trio die and Happy Birthday Pop Culture die…

and the last card…

I always have a terrible time taking pictures of pink cards!  So strange!  sorry…they are pretty IRL!

I used the Floral Dotted Border die and Scribble Hello die…

Simon Says Stamp New Release Flora Background Stamp…

Hello! I was so happy to find this new Simon Says Stamp Flora Background stamp from the Mothers, Fathers, and Floral release in my mail box last week!  So pretty and fun to play with!

I have a couple things in mind for it but I ended up here, using the ‘old school’ chalkboard look again! I inked the Flora Background stamp with Versamark ink, in the MISTI and heat embossed it with Ranger Detail White Embossing Powder on black card-stock. I distressed the edges with the Tim Holtz Distressing tool and went around the edges with Picket Fence Distress Paint.

I die cut the Single Roses, Banner and Painted Happy Birthday dies from heavy white card-stock.

I used three of the new Distress Oxide Inks. Pressed the pad to my craft mat, spritzed it with water and smooshed the flowers, leaves and banner in the different colors. I dried them in between smooshes with my heat tool.  I know…that sounds funny! lol

I looked through my Doodlebug Sprinkles and ended up using three of the matte colors…I like the matte finish with the oxide ink.

I attached the Birthday cuts to the banner with skinny cuts of foam mounting tape.  I love that the letters are thicker and you don’t have to cut and glue multiples together, you can just use mounting tape or squares! yay!

Then I attached the banner to the card with 3L thin mounting squares.  The flowers and leaves were next, 3L regular mounting squares for them.

I adhered the black finished panel to a 5 ½ inch square white card base.

Memory Box Budding Peony and Blooming Peony Stem…

A Happy Birthday Flower card to share with you today! I die cut both flower dies from Mixed Media card-stock twice.  That way I could leave the petals in the cut to ink them with Distress Ink and a Mini Ink Blending Tool. Then I glued the second cut, without the petals though, right over the top! If you have the Distress Markers, they work really good for the small flower center circles.

The background is a Mixed Media card panel that I die cut with the Memory Box Rectangle Basics die set.  I love that the largest rectangle is A2 size!

Also inked with Distress Inks and the Mini Ink Blending Tools.

Isn’t this Happy Birthday Friendship Script die lovely?  I die cut it a couple times in black card-stock, glued them together and then glued to the card.  Easy to glue with the thicker line weight too!  Score!

Several Pretty Pink Posh Clear Sequins… the clear are my favorite but you can tell, right?! lol
