Memory Box Budding Peony and Blooming Peony Stem…

A Happy Birthday Flower card to share with you today! I die cut both flower dies from Mixed Media card-stock twice.  That way I could leave the petals in the cut to ink them with Distress Ink and a Mini Ink Blending Tool. Then I glued the second cut, without the petals though, right over the top! If you have the Distress Markers, they work really good for the small flower center circles.

The background is a Mixed Media card panel that I die cut with the Memory Box Rectangle Basics die set.  I love that the largest rectangle is A2 size!

Also inked with Distress Inks and the Mini Ink Blending Tools.

Isn’t this Happy Birthday Friendship Script die lovely?  I die cut it a couple times in black card-stock, glued them together and then glued to the card.  Easy to glue with the thicker line weight too!  Score!

Several Pretty Pink Posh Clear Sequins… the clear are my favorite but you can tell, right?! lol

Thanks for clicking over today! At least there’s some blue sky on my card! We’ve had a series of dreary days again. Hoping the sun will shine again soon!

  1. So beautiful Pam – the background is so delicate and the scattering of sequins is just perfection!

  2. Love that idea for the flowers better than doing the inlaid technique, it is just gorgeous!! Do you apply adhesive backed paper to it? trying to figure out how you keep it all together 🙂 Love how you did the background too and that is a great script on the sentiment!

  3. i love peonies even more than poinsettias and these are just beautiful! good technique to keep everything together. you always do such lovely work!

  4. Beautiful peonies. Love the softness of your background. Total beautiful card, Pam! I like to layer all my words three times because it looks so much better on a card.

  5. Oh my! That is SO pretty!! I just love the soft blending and such a pleasing composition! The black sentiments are perfect too! Awesome photography also 😉

  6. You and your blending tools do such a beautiful job on this paper! I can’t believe I gave away my blending tool and pads. Sheesh! This is so delicate and pretty. I also love the clear sequins.
