NEW dies! Memory Box Clara Blooms, Sitting Sparrow and Happy Easter Dover Script…

Hello!  Welcome to a blog post with Spring vibes again!  How in the world did it get to be March already!  I feel like I’ll be forever trying to catch up this year.  It’s ‘after wedding’ time for our family and adjusting to the anti climatic period! lol  So here’s a card for Easter!

I fell in love with this new Clara Blooms die…I used two pinks and mint green to die cut.  So sweet!  I also used the darker pink to die cut the top layer of the new Happy Easter Dover Script and a dark teal to cut the underneath layer…both the same size, I just offset them a little for a shadow effect.

I die cut the new Sitting Sparrow in some old Bazzill brown cardstocks and the Woodgrain Bird House in one of the reds from the new Blush 6×6 cardstock pad.  Gorgeous colors!

Can you guess where I got the inspiration for the background on this card? Let me know in the comments! hehe

I die cut the oval with the Studio Oval Layers and inked the edges a bit with Distress Evergreen Bough and the mini ink blending tool.

No stamping on this card!

I hope you love this as much as I do… the bird is so neat and easy to put together too!  As well as the birdhouse and the flowers!

Change the sentiment for any occasion!  yay!  This is an A2 size card…

Memory Box NEW Cheerful Floral Collection Card…

Hello Friday!  Here lately you don’t have to worry about me filling up your email inbox!   I do have NEW to show you though!

A beautiful collection that I really enjoyed working with…NEW from Memory Box.  You knew already, right?! lol

You can stamp your image and then die cut or die cut then stamp on the die cut.

I cut the shape first then stamped on it in the MISTI.

Then the fun begins!  There is a stencil set to use for coloring!!!!!  For the pinks I used Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry Oxide Inks, then an old Versacolor pigment cube for the darkest… Rose Red #23.

Greens were a trio of Bazzill Dye inks but I had a new set of Altenew I could’ve used laying right there on my desk! ugh.  I will link to them.

The light blue was Speckled Egg, Savage Patina and the brush for Peacock Feathers without inking it. All oxides.

For the yellow flower I used Antique Linen, Mustard Seed and Fossilized Amber oxide and the brown oxide brush for the center without reinking it.

I am really happy with how it turned out…you know how it is…at several points during the process I was thinking this is not going to work! lol

So after I finished stenciling it I put it in the NEW 3D Cheerful Floral 3D embossing folder!  oh wow!  That just added so much!   I taped it in place in the folder.  It shifted a little so next time I’m thinking maybe just go half way, stop and run it through from the opposite end half way.

I used the Memory Box Rectangle Double Border Hot Foil Plate for the base panel…started with 4 ½ in x 6 ¼ in panel but ended up trimming the top and bottom.  It will still fit in an A6 envelope.

I think it’s nice to have a bigger than A2 size for super special cards sometimes!  Let’s go Hallmark! lol

I used some ribbon from Stampin Up from who knows how many years ago and the sentiment from Birch Press Design Celebrate Today Noted Script hot foil plate and die set in gold foil.

I mounted the floral piece with some of the thin mounting tape I love!  then the ribbon, then the sentiment mounted with the same thin mounting tape.  It should still travel for one stamp!

Holler if you have any questions!  I’m going to link up what I used below.  If you’re tempted to get this collection, I say go for it!  You’ll have fun and end up with beautiful cards without all the time coloring!  Win! Win!

Spellbinders Stencil of the Month Club Card…

Hello! Welcome to my post for the Spellbinders NEW Stencil of the Month Club!  This month is a variety of stencils and I just used one of them!

On Neenah Classic Crest Solar White I inkblended with Peacock Feathers, Shaded Lilac, Peeled Paint and a little Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink and ink blending brushes.

Spattered on some water droplets and then white drawing ink.

Next I hot foiled a sentiment to vellum in Silver but it didn’t show up as good as I thought it should so I put a strip of green cardstock behind it.  I taped the green strip down, then wrapped the vellum strip around to the back of a panel so I didn’t have to use any glue or tape on the front.

I used a little white gel pen on the Be Bold Blooms die cut flowers.  Simple flower arranging…

Fun to have another card for the stash!

Thank you so much for stopping by! The sun is shining and making me sleepy!  lol  Talk to you again soon!

Simon Says Stamp House Border Frame and Doodlebug Designs Happy Home Card…

Hi everyone!  I just got this NEW House Border Frame just in time to make and give away!

I stamped a little outdoor scene with Happy Home stamp set from Doodlebug Design and did some sloppy Copic coloring!

The little roof sections are a separate die so that’s nice and adds a little dimension.  I die cut them in black and glued them on.

Welcome to the neighborhood is from the stamp set also.

Spring is coming, right?! lol  A person can always think Spring no matter that it’s below zero in polar Iowa right now! lol

I used a dot paper from Hobby Lobby and the stripe from My Favorite Things.

The banner die is from poppystamps.

It’s an A2 size card.  Delivered with a loaf of homemade bread!  yay!

Happy weekend to you and thank you so much for stopping by!

NEW Memory Box Cards…

Hello!  I’m enjoying the sunshine today!  It really warms up the house…thankful for that in this below zero weather we’ve been having!

Meanwhile flowers are growing in my stamp room!

Two cards to share with you today…NEW dies and NEW papers!

I inked up the NEW Blooming Anemone and NEW Elegant Anemone dies with Distress Ink and the mini blending tools.  I die cut the florals from Bristol cardstock and used Peacock Feathers and Pine Needles Distress Inks.

Two NEW 6×6 paper pads from Memory Box, Anemone Plaid and Anemone Grove.

I made this card base a mini slimline size. I do love this size…just something charming about it with the florals, inking and plaid.  Wish I could show it to you in person!

The florals are so easy to put together.  I love that.  I just follow the pattern on the envelope by laying the pieces on top of the picture!

Oh, the greens I used for the stems and leaves…Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss Distress Ink.

I used a poppystamps sentiment from the Modest Greetings 1 hot foil and cut die set.  Spellbinders gold hot foil.

Taylored Expressions Cardstock… I’ll link below.

NBUS Challenge #58 – Never Before Used Stuff!

Next card…

A NEW hot foild plate, Rectangle Dot Border.  I love how it looks like a faux spotlight!

I used the NEW Happy Birthday Debut Script die cut from the NEW Anemone Grove 6×6 paper pad, tone on tone piece that I used for the background panel.  For the Happy Birthday Debut Script backer, I used plaid from the NEW Anemone Plaid 6×6 paper pad.

I die cut a rectangle of vellum to fit inside the hot foil frame using the Rectangle Basics die set.

Everything is layered on an A2 White cardbase.

Three Doodlebug Design enamel dots for a little something!

I mounted the sentiment with the thin mounting tape I love, to the vellum panel first so I’d know where I could put glue on the back of the vellum to adhere it to the purple pattern paper.
