Spirit of Christmas Cardinal Card…

Hi everyone! I feel a little chill in the air today…Christmas is coming! eek!  Another card for my stash using Memory Box NEW products.  It’s fun to stamp and color more this year.  I love dies but I used to love coloring…coloring is some what of a discipline for me…I kinda want to do a little, then get up and do something else! lol

The main images are from the New Spirit of Christmas stamp set and coordinating die set.  My card last week is the poinsettia is from the same set.

I colored with Copics on X-press it copic coloring cardstock.  I started the cardinal with R17, then brought in R46 and the darkest R89.  The beak is Y35 and 38.  The holly is G12, 14, 16, 17 and 19.  The berries are R27 and E07.

The pattern paper is from Memory Box new Christmas Plaid 6×6 paper pad.

I decided to use Taylored Expressions Earl Grey as my neutral color instead of Toffee that I use so much.

I stamped the A2 cardbase with the big Merry Christmas stamp from the NEW Joyous Christmas Wishes stamp set.  It’s full of beautiful sentiments for the season! ❤  It’s not perfect… I should’ve practiced first! Tape it down so it doesn’t flip up while you’re stamping! lol

Holler if you have any questions!

Thank you so much for clicking over!

  1. You’re a good color-er and this is gorgeous! I love how you did the stamped background with the giant sentiment, plus the plaid is awesome. I know that you know I color a lot, but I’m the same about coloring a little and then stepping away from it. If it’s a detailed and sizable image I might finish it in 2 or 3 sittings.

I love hearing from you! Thank YOU!
