I’m back today to share the other two cards I made with the NEW Memory Box Sleigh Horse Frame die! I had to make another Frame Gatefold card… I like these so much! Easy to make too.
Start with a 4 ¼ inch by 8 ½ inch piece of cardstock. Score at 2 ⅛ inch in from both ends.
Here it is standing open. I like to die cut two of the square frames, place one on the inside and one on the front and match up the parts that stick out past the left fold. You can see it in the next picture.
On the inside I stamped a sentiment from the NEW poppystamps Christmas Time stamp set.
I’m using Bazzill Card Shoppe cardstock… I’ll link below.
I used a Pinpoint Circle Layers die to back the front circle panel… you can kind of see it on the right in the above photo.
The pretty word die cut on the front is the NEW Memory Box Peace Jotted Script die. I just love the handlettered look of it!
So frosty looking with Ranger Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter on it. I just put glue on the front, rubbed it around with my finger and sprinkled on the glitter then tapped it off.
This picture shows you what I die cut out of which cardstock color. The frame on the front contrasts to the card base but I wanted the inside frame to match the inside this time, so I die cut the inside frame to match the card base.
I colored the sleigh and horse with a black Copic Sketch Marker.
Here’s a flat photo…it’s hard to keep it completely flat to photograph!
The next card is A2 size and it is Navy cardstock, not black! Navy always looks black to me in pictures. ugh. (and only two pictures) 😀
I did a Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide background on a circle cut from the Basic Circle die set with a punched circle mask on it for the moon. I spattered it with water… it looked terrible. Now I know how to make a circle look like the moon though! haha Since it was headed for the trash can, I sprayed it with white spray and let it dry to see if I had to start over or not. When it dried, I decided to go ahead and use it. It’s better IRL! 😀
Hero Arts has a new white watercolor ink that Cindy is carrying in the store, Starlitstudio.net I will link to it below, she says it’s great for spattering! Mine will be here Friday! YAY!
I cut small strips of mounting tape and put them here and there around the back side of the circle frame, mounted it to the ink blended background circle die cut, glued the square frame to the card base, glued the circle to the card base, die cut the snowflake from the New Pinpoint Snowflake Circle Frame and glued it on, stamped a strip of white cardstock with a sentiment from the NEW Typewriter Holiday Sentiments stamp set, applied mounting tape to both ends and stuck it on! I love the white contrast with the dark blue!
