Hi cardmakers and friends! I got to playing around with dies again mid afternoon yesterday… made one card and another this morning! You know how I love red, white and brown..throw in plaid and I’m a happy cardmaker! lol
I used several dies for these two cards…the only thing different on this first one is the stitched oval I embossed around the Pine Tree Deer Collage.
I die cut the Pine Branch Oval Frame from a 2016 release and glued it to the back of the Pine Tree Deer Collage that’s die cut in a 4.25 x 5.5 inch card front panel.
I taped a 4 x 5 ¼ inch plaid piece of pattern paper to an A2 card base. Then I mounted the top panel to the card base with foam mounting tape. That way it creates a little depth but still mails for one stamp. I will use an A6 size envelope to mail these though.
I die cut the NEW Snowberry Sprigs in white, the NEW Holly Flourish in white and inked it with Distress inks Forest Moss and Mowed Lawn. I had to trim them to fit under the Stitched Oval banner piece. I used a marker to color the berries red, then went over them with a little green so they weren’t stark red.
The beautiful snowflake is from the NEW Pinpoint Snowflake Circle Frame die cut in white. The NEW Peace Cheshire Script die is cut three times from Kraft and glued together, then inked with Gathered Twigs Distress ink. I inked the card edges and the deer with Gathered Twigs ink also.
I don’t have as many pictures for the Teal version… hehe… good thing! lol
Here I used Memory Box Mocha notecards for the card panel and Pumice Stone Distress ink for edging the panels, parts and word.
Fun in non traditional Christmas colors!
So happy to have two more cards for the masculine Christmas card stash! I hope you’re inspired to try combining your dies! Thanks so much for stopping by!
P.S. sorry about the email notification having ads this week. Appears to be something wordpress just added. yuk. They are gonna finally make me pay up or can we ignore? I get so tired of ads.

Super cool cards for the guys! 🙂 They’re always so hard to make cards for. Love your ideas!
Fantastic masculine cards for your stash, great design and color combos!
Very nice Pam…love the plaid backgrounds….
You always have the most beautiful memory box. Love the green plaid the best as I am not a red person, but both card are lovely.
these are both so cool, I love red plaid behind the most, such a fantastic layout!
Super neat Pam. I love the plaid-well I love the whole cards!!!
Maybe these are considered masculine, but I’m totally in love with them. I especially love all the warmth of the first… the sponging, the red. The bits of white brighten it up just enough. Both are amazing — wow!!
gorgeous cards and yayyyy to getting a head start on christmas!!! these cards would be beautiful for anyone, they don’t seem gender specific to me…just beautiful!!!
These are really so handsome!!! The plaid backgrounds look so good! Love all the amazing layering of dies that you did here!!
What great masculine cards! I really love the colors in the second one! 🙂
Gorgeous! Amazing how they look so different, just by changing the colors. You rock! That second card is SO manly!!! Hugs…
