Here we go! Dashing through the snow…this cute little elf is taking a break from all the toy making. That’s another card coming soon…these cute little elves in the toy shop! 😀 Memory Box and poppystamps have the best tree dies out there!
I die cut a white panel with the next largest Rectangle Basics die then die cut the new Stitched Circle Trees die in the panel.
I sprayed the white die cut panel with Sparkle Shimmer Spray…love this stuff…well, it’s a toss up between the Sparkle and Frost… I love them both. Just got the Sparkle! lol The Frost is more ‘clear-ish’ and the Sparkle has a teeny tiny bit of metallic to it. Both are perfect for Winter cards!
On the white card-base, I ink blended some Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink with the mini ink blending tool for the sky. Then dropped water droplets on by spraying water in the palm of my hand, rubbing my hands together and clapping over where I want the water. Then I diluted a little white acrylic paint and spattered on some white drops.
I die cut two of the Tall Pine die in white card-stock being sure to keep the little waste pieces in the tree on one because I wanted the white to show through. Then I colored one with Copic Sketch Markers, YG63, 67 and G99. I glued the colored one over the white one and put mounting tape on the back, cut to fit down the center and behind the little bits of snow left in the tree. I spattered it a little with the white acrylic paint too.
I stamped and die cut the little elf and two trees from the Playtime Elves sets. I like to color after I die cut. The images are colored with Copic Sketch Markers. A little white gel pen on his hat and cheeks.
I stamped the panel with the sentiments from the Dashing With Reindeer stamp set and the inside with ‘and a happy New Year (from the same set).
Then I thought the new Snowflake Wire die would be fun in the scene too, so I cut it in white card-stock and glued it on the panel, kind of a sledding trail. I had to go buy that die after seeing Sherry Hester’s card using it with the new poinsettia. 😀
Time to layer everything on the card-base…I used mounting tape on the back of the panel, adhered that to the card-base. Glued the two green trees behind the Stitched Circle trees. Mounted the elf and the tree with mounting tape. I broke down and bought the big roll of ¾ inch wide from SLS. I think I’ll write inside the roll the month and year and see how long it lasts! lol
Entering some challenges…
I think that’s it! Thanks for stopping by and happy weekend to you!

That little guy is so stinkin’ adorable! Thanks for sharing your magic with us, so we can give it a try! Loving these snowy cards, my friend, but not at ALL looking forward to seeing that white stuff on the driveway! We live on a hill, and it’s hard to get UP the hill, and hard to stop at the bottom. Oh well, I do love to hibernate! Take care…
Just a wondrous Christmas scene, Pam … you are so right, that pine is truly a beauty!
