‘Tis the Season…

Birgitta is back and waving hello!  Oh, she’s a doll and so fun to color!  love her outfit and cute shoes!  I stamped her with Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Paper Trey Ink select white card-stock and colored her with Copic Sketch markers.  A combo of reds and warm grays to get the color to match the flowers on this pattern paper.   I colored R22 then W2 over the top of that… then R24 and W3 over the top…then E07 and some W5, 7 and 9 for shadows…might be able to skip the R22 and W2 but since I started out that way, I just kept doing all the red that way.   Her hair is E30 first,  then E31,  then E23, 25 and 27.  To get the cream color, I started with E50 then Y23,  then Y21 (because Y23 is lighter than Y21)  and then a little Y26.

CC Designs Swiss Pixies Hello Birgitta is NEW for November!  ‘Tis the Season and warm Winter wishes are too!  Both sentiments are from the NEW Snowman Sayings set… a must have! In the store HERE.   Click on over to the ATS blog to see what the other ATS DT gals created… a fabulous post again today!  A chance to win stamps each day of the previews too!  I started writing the Preview and Review posts for All That Scraps in July.  If you wonder why I disappear now and then,  it’s because I’m up to my ears in composing posts.  I love it though!  I’m honored to work for them and I hope you enjoy them too!

The ribbon I used is from May Arts and the pattern paper is a new line called Simple Stories.  This 6×6 pad is named Generations.  It’s very cool!  The tree square and the frame…all in the pad!

You’ve lost your mitten?

Only the first of November and this cute snowman has already lost a mitten!   I did find with the girls in their growing up years that when it was time to go outside we needed lots of mittens and we were glad we had radiators/hot water heat.  They always had mittens laying on them drying!  I made a front panel step card and used CC Designs Cutters dottie trim and clouds dies for snow!  I LOVE it!  I was inspired to use the clouds for snow by this card that Jay Jay created, it’s on her blog HERE.  Then the adorable NEW Mittens die to go with the adorable NEW snowman!  It embosses the lines too!  I filled them in with white pen.  Hero Arts little clear gems here and there just add so much!

oh Yes,  were just going to ask about the sentiments?  They are NEW this month too!  Snowman Sayings!  You will want them… I can here you groaning… lol!    Pure Winter FUN!

I had to use the new Tim Holtz mini tree die…it’s a great size!  whoo hoo!  Cosmo Cricket 6×6 Winter pad from last year… is it called Mitten Weather?  I edged a some of the pieces with the new Twig Distress ink from the Fall Limited Edition set in the store HERE.

I’m linking to the Crafter’s Companion Challenge blog – let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!  Linking to the Cupcake Craftroom Challenge blog – Sweet Christmas… mine is “sweet” Christmas snowman! : )

You Light up my Life!

I would be the “reindeer lights” in this household…for some reason I always have had that job!  I should count how many times I walk around the tree some year!  Hopefully this year we’ll get one that will stay standing up! haha (remember last year’s photo of it taking a nap! ugh)

I love this cute little Reindeer Lights image!  A new Animal Crackers stamp illustrated by Christine in the October CC Designs release.  Stamped with Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Papertrey select white card-stock and colored with Copic Sketch markers. The E40’s (R20, 21, 22 and 24 on his cheeks) and then just two colors on each of the bulbs… same for the die cut Christmas Bulb border die… I cut it first in dark green,  then in white and colored the bulbs,  cut them off the cord and glued them to the green cut.  I did add some fine black lines where the bulb meets the cord.  The sentiment is from Liberty,  one of Christine’s Honey images for the 4th of July.  I purchased mine at the stamp store, Craft and Hobby Connection in Ottumwa, IA.  I used my stamp a ma jig to position the lights, from the reindeer lights stamp, on the nestability die cut circle with the sentiment. I edged the sentiment circle and the reindeer square with Weathered Wood Distress ink and the ink blending tool.  Added some little holly leaves, branches and berries from punches and a ribbon.  The big branch border is a new Martha Stewart deep edger branch border punch.

On the flip side… I embossed Reindeer Lights with a clear embossing stamp pad and clear embossing powder on white glossy paper.  Then I used the ink blending tool and black soot ink and completely covered the image with ink.  I ironed off the embossing powder between two sheets of scrap paper to get the “shocked” look!  I stamped “I’ve flipped for you” with a Memories waterproof/fast drying Black ink pad. The green double sided paper is from Bo Bunny.  I had to really lighten the picture so you could read the words.

Here’s a link on how to make the Swing/Flip Flop card.  I did change the size to fit this image.

Thanks for stopping by!  I always love hearing from you!
