Memory Box Marching Penguin Swinging on a Decorative Ornaments Card…

When I saw this card in the NEW Memory Box idea book I wanted to make it!  Penguin loving grandson here!  What a festive guy!

I love how easy everything went together with these dies!

I embossed the Spiral Delight 3D Embossing folder and inked it with Distress Prize Ribbon first, a little Peacock Feathers in the center.  Trimmed it down so the card would be A2 size.

Spattered it with white ink and then added some dots with the tube of Contour Toner White.

Die cut and glue up the ornament, penguin and sentiment.  This was the fastest card I’ve made for some time!  Ugh, I still need a sentiment inside and my name on the back though. haha

He’s a cutie!  There are more penguins to choose from in this release too.

You’ve probably noticed I haven’t been posting a lot of Memory Box, poppystamps or Birch Press Design.  Nothing came back in January for me to work with so here I am focusing a little more on cards that I need and will use.

A super close up although it feels like in editing to make it whiter I lose some of the depth!

This one is a little darker. lol  I did go back and add some Black Soot Distress ink around the very edges.

I’m linking to some card challenges…

Christmas Kickstart – Let it Snow

Allsorts Challenge #834  – Traditional Christmas colors or anything goes

A Cut Above October Challenge – Anything Goes with a die cut

I hope you enjoyed this festive, swinging penguin!  It’s cooling off here.  I had to put my ferns from the front porch in the garage….now what to do with 7 ferns!  I need a greenhouse!

I’ll finish this up and be back with more soon! Check out the NEW Birch Press Design Release, Starlitstudio has in HERE

Memory Box Happy Dance Bird Merry Christmas Card…

oh happy day, I mean bird! So cute and festive on the snowy log!  I love making Christmas cards with foliage, greenery and brown elements.

The Happy Dance Bird and Merry Christmas Stylish Script dies are from the newest Memory Box release.  I die cut the bird in white and inked in some blue oxides and then a little gathered twigs too.

The background panel I embossed with the Pinecone and Berries 3D embossing folder in white cardstock. The colors really pop against embossed white!

I used a bunch of other dies but you could easy use whatever you have.  This birdie could stand on about anything! Maybe even be a tree topper! lol

Notice the little dots of white on the berries…it’s the new White Contour tube that Cindy from Starlitstudio sent me to try!  WOW!  It’s the best white of any so far and there’s sure been a lot.  It makes the best dots down to this teeny tiny easy! I’m so impressed!  I’m getting the gold next. hehe

I took a bunch of pictures, posting several because the lighting shows some things better.

The Snowy Log is one of my favorite accessory type dies and so easy to make up too!  The wood grain happens when you die cut it!  No extra step to achieve it! yay!

Pine Branches and Pinecone Duo dies for the pine elements.

Festive Holly for the greenery elements.

So cute!  This bird has personality and sure to bring a smile to the receiver!

The white panel is A2 size but I wanted some of the card base to show so it’s going to need an A6 or A7 envelope to mail.  It shouldn’t need any extra postage.

I’m going to link my card to some challenge blogs…

Spellbinders Lisa Horton All About Christmas Release Card…

‘Wishing You A’ on the outside and ‘Merry Christmas’ on the inside!  I’m always happy when I can get the inside of a card finished too!  I think I’ll go back and add holly leaves and berries on the inside though.  I took a picture but it’s holly less! lol

Another Christmas card to add to the stash… yay!

I enjoyed working with the ‘parts’ from this new Christmas Foliage die set.  Everything for the wreath is from this set! I die cut threes and fives of each piece.  Then cut a circle frame to use to keep me in a circle shape while gluing the pieces on.

I’m not a floral arranger/designer at all so it’s funny I pick this kind of thing to do with paper! lol  But I’m usually really happy with the result so that’s what counts, right?!

I used another new die set in the release for the panel… Bow & Bell Scallop Frame.  The kraft cardbase is inked a little with Gathered Twigs Distress ink and the mini ink blending tool.

The sentiment on the front and inside is from the NEW Merry Sentiments Clear Stamp and Die set.  You stamp the whole thing and then die cut the whole thing!  So yes, you’ll have extra for another card!  And yes, it needs holly in there! lol

Here’s a few more pictures!   It’s an A2 size card and won’t take extra postage!

Just enough depth… I only used super thin mounting tape under the left side of the wishing you banner.  The rest is glued direct to the circle frame that you can’t see.

And that’s all folks!  Yesterday was a good picture day! lol

Thank you so much for stopping by and check out my links below for this neat release… Lots of ways to use these sets!

Here Comes Christmas! Spellbinders The Three Magi Card…

When they saw the star, they rejoiced with great joy! I’m rejoicing that I got a card made to blog! hoho

What a neat set from Spellbinders! I guess I didn’t stray from the CAS look that I like but there’s so much potential to do fun things with this set!  Turn it vertical and add a city border behind and and and…

This is a 5 x 7 size card on purpose because I wanted to give them plenty of room!

I started out thinking royal colors but I found these that had tones that worked together so I went with scraps for the most part!

I love that the sentiments are small! A beautiful cursive font!

All the extra details too… a little piece to go behind the head…three different beards….I colored the flesh with a Copic marker.

Versafine ink in the MISTI for the sentiments.

They’re festive! I used the thin mounting tape I love to pop them up just a hair! The stars are glued directly to the card front.

Simple once you decide your colors and get your pieces die cut!

Hope all is well with you.  This Summer has flown by or washed by for some… lots of rain…lots of green!  Can’t complain about lack of rain!

It feels good to be using the stash…I have a birthday card to share soon.  Hopefully my pictures are good because I already gifted it!

ttul!

Tim Holtz Fresh Brewed Sidekick Side-Order Birthday Card…

Wishing you a warm birthday card…  So much potential for this set for any occasion! Make it flakey!

Once again I was inspired by a gal on instagram….I’ll link to her on my post there.

The NEW Tim Holtz Sidekick Side-Order set, thinlets dies and a texture fades embossing folder.

I embossed the folder, trimmed it down, inked it with some Gathered Twigs distress ink and glued it directly to a white Hammermill cardbase.

I die cut the sentiment from Tim Holtz Thin, Sentiment Words die set.  I used scor-tape on the back so I could just insert the blue letters back in. I can’t find this set to link to.

Die cut the mugs, steam and snowflakes.  The snowflakes are from the Tim Holtz Twig and Stump die set. I can’t find this set to link to. I used the super thin mounting tape I love so much, on the mugs!  It’s sticky so I use the scissors I’ll link below.

So fun…you could easy just use paper scraps and come up with all kinds of designs for all seasons!

Linking my card to some challenges…

Can You Handle the Pressure – anything goes with a twist of snow

I have two more birthday cards to post but I’m going to do them one at a time so the post isn’t terribly long.

Thank you for stopping by!
