5 Memory Box and poppystamps Spring cards…

Hi everyone!  Five cards to share today with a variety of dies from the January release

The first card is the Backyard tree die…I made it up on the new chipboard card base with gesso and distress paints… the grass is really greener in real life.  I don’t have the card anymore so I couldn’t take the picture over.

This is the Sketch Floral die and Thank you Manuscript die.

Doodlebug White Enamel Dots for accent…

For this card I used the Ring a Ding Corner die and Happy Bday Pop Culture Cut Out die…

Distress ink blending on Mixed Media card…

For this card I used the Palma Curve die, Stitched Bloom Trio die and Happy Birthday Pop Culture die…

and the last card…

I always have a terrible time taking pictures of pink cards!  So strange!  sorry…they are pretty IRL!

I used the Floral Dotted Border die and Scribble Hello die…

Lots of beautiful dies!  Thanks for stopping by today!

poppystamps Blooming Dotted Border and Thank You Channel dies…

A CAS Thank you card to share today. I love this border die from poppystamps…so whimsical and fun. It just screams Spring!

I just cut a 4 ¼ x 5 ½ white card-stock panel and cut the Thank you Channel die down the middle, then die cut the Blooming Dotted border die on the top and the bottom.

I glued a couple strips of Memory Box mini gingham paper above and below the Thank You.  Check your local stamp store for Memory Box papers.

I added a few baby pearls to the flower centers and mounted the panel with foam mounting strips.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Have fun making some CAS cards with just dies!

Memory Box Watching the World Bloom Wreath…

Hi friends! I see so many photos and read so many posts/threads here and there right now, of all the excitement of new life that Spring brings, the blessing of why we have Easter which brings me to why I love this card!

Happiness is watching the world bloom around us!

I colored the wreath with some quick, basic Copic coloring…die cut the wreath, from the coordinating die set, in a square rectangle layers panel. I mounted it with foam tape so there would be a fair amount of dimension but still be snail mail friendly.

I heat embossed the sentiment on vellum and wrapped it over the top square layer and adhering it on the back side.

One of my favorite cards I’ve made so far this year!

Simon Says Stamp New Release Flora Background Stamp…

Hello! I was so happy to find this new Simon Says Stamp Flora Background stamp from the Mothers, Fathers, and Floral release in my mail box last week!  So pretty and fun to play with!

I have a couple things in mind for it but I ended up here, using the ‘old school’ chalkboard look again! I inked the Flora Background stamp with Versamark ink, in the MISTI and heat embossed it with Ranger Detail White Embossing Powder on black card-stock. I distressed the edges with the Tim Holtz Distressing tool and went around the edges with Picket Fence Distress Paint.

I die cut the Single Roses, Banner and Painted Happy Birthday dies from heavy white card-stock.

I used three of the new Distress Oxide Inks. Pressed the pad to my craft mat, spritzed it with water and smooshed the flowers, leaves and banner in the different colors. I dried them in between smooshes with my heat tool.  I know…that sounds funny! lol

I looked through my Doodlebug Sprinkles and ended up using three of the matte colors…I like the matte finish with the oxide ink.

I attached the Birthday cuts to the banner with skinny cuts of foam mounting tape.  I love that the letters are thicker and you don’t have to cut and glue multiples together, you can just use mounting tape or squares! yay!

Then I attached the banner to the card with 3L thin mounting squares.  The flowers and leaves were next, 3L regular mounting squares for them.

I adhered the black finished panel to a 5 ½ inch square white card base.

poppystamps Powell & Corden Butterflies and Egg Swoosh Easter…

Just a note…a pretty gold embossed butterfly on my first card today.  I die cut a white card-stock panel with the Rectangle Basic die set, then die cut the Corden Butterfly die in the panel.

I die cut the Powell Butterfly die, inked it and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.  I only glued it to the card base in the very center so the wings can be lifted and shaped a little.

I stamped and embossed the sentiment…layered the panel onto a Memory Box Lagoon A2 notecard and glued on a few 4 mm gold sequins.

An easy CAS card that lets the gold make the statement!

Next card…

For this Happy Easter card I die cut the Egg Swoosh die in metallic gold card-stock, adhered it to the white panel that I die cut with the Memory Box Rectangle Basics die set and stamped happy easter in mint green ink.

I die cut and colored the Stitched Eggs with Distress inks and the mini ink blending tools. Then glued them on.

I mounted the white panel to the card with a piece of craft foam that I die cut with the same Rectangle Basics die set.  I just use ATG tape on both sides to adhere to the panel and then to the Memory Box A2 notecard.

Another CAS (clean and simple) card ready for the next holiday!
