Happy Birthday Bird Post…

I am so tickled!!!  I actually used a new stamp before I’d had it a week! lol  This is a cling mount stamp by Stampendous and the sentiment is from Impression Obsession,  one by Alesa Baker.  The oak leaf is an old Marvy Giga punch… the woodgrain background is a wood mount stamp from Hero Arts, that I love.  The paper is from that JoAnn’s DCWV paper pad for Fall, that I keep using.  : )  Ribbon is from a Basic Grey collection… I don’t have any idea which one because I took them all out to hang up.

I stamped in black on natural cardstock and again in brown and cut out the bird and crown.  Colored the crown in with gold metallic gel pen.  Edged everything with Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress inks and the ink blending tool.

We always give the birthday girls a card at our monthly stamp club,  which was yesterday…we had a great time.  Then today was the copic class in Ottumwa, IA at the Craft and Hobby Connection Stamp store… Six awesome copic students!  What fun!

Have an awesome weekend!  So thankful for some beautiful days!   Can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to on your blogs!  I have a lot of catching up to do!  ttul!

Thanks for visiting again!

Sweet Stop Sketch meets Lili “falling for you”!

It’s that time of year…leaves, changing colors…bringing welcome relief from the heat and humidity of Summer! Lili is enjoying Saturday romping in the fallen leaves!  She’s so cute and reminds me so much of our granddaughters… especially the two that have red hair!  We have five grandchildren with red hair… how cool is that!  oh,  I am biased! lol

Lili from Inky Impressions rubber stamps, is stamped on Beckett Expression card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink HERE and Colored with Copic Sketch Markers HERE.  Notice that cool picket fence….a new die from Magnolia HERE.  Then,  you gotta love that notebook border die too HERE!!!  The sentiment is HERE in this fall set… love it! The teeny words in a line are from a set by Technique Tuesday… the row of leaves is a new punch from EK Success.  I edged the circle nestabilites with Antique Linen distress ink HERE and the Nestabilities circles are HERE.

Here’s a close up of Lili playing in the leaves…so cute… look at all the detail!!!!  She’s got personality for sure!!!

This is my card for the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge Blog post this week… SSS76.  Hope you can join us in the fun!  Korin’s sketches are awesome!

I followed the color challenge over at the Color Throwdown Challenge blog…had fun with this!

Over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog there is a photo inspiration and use beautiful Autumn colors and Copic Creations Challenge Blog is coloring “orange”,  so I’m linking up!

Happy National Card-making Day!!! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Easter…

Our middle daughter and husband have adopted two children from Ukraine and plan to adopt again this year from Bulgaria.  Amanda sent this yesterday, a blog post from another family that has adopted from Ukraine.   ♥ Redemption ♥  a beautiful post…hope you can make time to read it. The true meaning of Easter.

Spring and Tulips…a big deal in Iowa because of the Dutch influence…I created this for the Impressions Obsession challenge blog.
