CC Designs June Release Review…

Today the All That Scraps DT gals are reviewing stamps for the June release on the ATS blog, HERE.  I used the new Amy R Magical Wishes set…very fun sentiments for in and out!

I used the new Magnolia Doohickey’s  flower petals die from the Butterfly Dreams Tree die set for my flower… cut three, layered them up and a Lasting Impressions brad in the center.   The leafy branch on the front is a Sizzix Sizzlet die,  the leafy branch on the inside is from the Magnolia Doohickey’s Bon Voyage Foliage set.

I used the October Afternoon Thrift shop 8×8 paper pad, flower paper is from the Campfire pad,  some SU stripe twill, some Technique Tuesday twill, some cotton cord, a button,  some flower trim I purchased on etsy a couple years ago (I found it when I was going through a pile a couple weeks ago – that’s why we make piles… it’s so fun to find stuff later!!! lol),  Hero Arts small pearls, another Magnolia Doohickey’s die from the Butterfly Dreams collection called Dream tag and a scallop circle nestabilities die.

Linking my card to some challenges… Paper Sundaes Challenge blog – girly girl is the theme… Stamp Something Challenge blog – something punched (or die cut)… Stamp With Fun Challenge blog – pearls and flowers…

Noël Nora…

Do you L❤VE Christmas?  I do!  I am so excited to get a head start on creating Christmas cards!  I’ve never been able to do this before!  NO self discipline! *sigh* lol

I stamped Nora on Paper Trey Ink card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic Sketch Markers.  I die cut the rectangle with Spellbinders nestabilities ,  left the die on and used the ink blending tool to add Antique Linen Distress ink to the edges.   Bo Bunny pattern paper, the red music is Cosmo Cricket.  The noël sentiment is from an Amy R’s sentiment set for Christmas.  Magnolia Doohickey’s dies,  a Martha Stewart holly punch and border punch for embellishing.

The Christmas Spirit is in the air!

Stamps and stuff I used to create this Nora noël card…

Also linking my Nora card to the Creative Card Crew challenge… anything goes.

Thanks again for stopping by!

Shabby Birdhouse Gift cards in a pizza box…

A “pizza box”!!! lol  Here’s how to make it on SCS,  HERE.  At first I couldn’t think of what to put inside but then it hit me that  4×4 gift cards and envelopes would be great in there!  I did make my box larger than the pattern on SCS. Mine is 4.5 x 4.5 finished and I used a 6.5 x 12 piece of double sided pattern paper from the Butterfly Garden by Pink Paislee collection.  I also used the 6×6 matching pad for “parts”.

Four gift cards and envelopes… I used my MS scoreboard envelope maker… LOVE that thing!  CC Designs rubber stamps… links below.

Close up of how I colored the birdhouse!  I wanted it to look really rustic…eek!  it does! lol  I used Distress ink pads and Ranger Cut ‘n Dry nibs and just colored it in… quite easy… vintage photo, walnut stain,  pumice stone, weathered wood, aged mahogany, peeled paint, pine needle, mustard seed…I had FUN!  I used a crackle stamp from Magenta on a couple of the stamped images and on the Swirly Butterfly die cut.

I thought it needed an easier way to get it open,  so I got out a circle punch and punched in a bit so it’s real easy to get open now.  *here’s a tip for you though*  Punch the circle before you tape/glue it into the box shape!  *’nother tip* STAMP before you tape/glue it into the box!!!  YEP,  rather tricky stamping on a flimsy box!

Edwin and Butterfly Dreams…

Good morning! Edwin has something “just for YOU”!

Here’s some more pictures of my card…

Some crazy coloring on this one… his shirt started out with YG11,  added teeny bits of YG 13 & 17 but it was a little bright so I colored over with W00 then went back in with some of the greens again, then some YG0000… and so it goes!  Do you want to know about the jeans then? lol  More crazy! lol  Started by coloring all with BG0000,  then did tip to tip with BG13 & then BG18 but you have to swipe on scrap paper before you color it on the image. eek!  it’s fun!  crazy coloring is why I haven’t made any videos! lol Well the real reason is because I don’t have a video camera or maybe I would have been persuaded by now!

Couldn’t decide between these last two so bear with me,  I’m posting both! I LOVE these new Doohickey’s Butterfly Dreams dies!  I used all of the new ones except one! lol  Links below for everything.

I used my new stopper idea again too!  This time I used oval punches…three of them… the back one goes the opposite direction and is scored in half and the bottom half is taped under the brown base.  I just love this stopper stuff! lol   oh and can you see that cool arrow brad?  so happy I bought those!  I usually resist that stuff,  but you need extras for boys,  so it was a good thing!

I used the sketch from Sweet Stop Sketches Challenge blog but I think the main image is supposed to be a sentiment,  so not sure if I can link up yet or not!  Probably not… but I love Korin’s sketches so I used it anyway cuz I needed a jump start yesterday! : )) ETA – Korin says, “yes, link up!”  Linking to the new Craft Us Crazy challenge blog… use something NEW.

Here’s the stamps and stuff I used on this Easel card…

Thanks for visiting today!  I LOVE hearing from you…I’m still in awe of all the friends I’ve made out here in the stamping WWW!  Thanks for taking the time to comment, make me smile and so many times laugh out loud!

Magnolia Butterfly Dreams Doohickey’s Dies!!!

NOW for the pictures of the new dies from the Butterfly Dreams Doohickey’s Die collection! I resized the photos so that they are the actual size they cut IRL.

Here’s theGrass Lace die,  the tree and the bud from the Magnolia Tree die set.  It’s hard to see in the photo but the tree trunk has embossed lines it it like wood grain…cool!

The Magnolia Tree die set has several pieces… the flower below is made from the three leaf  die that is in the packaged Magnolia Tree die set. I cut three pink pieces and one green piece and layered them up…they already have a hole in them for the brad! Super easy and so cool… love the lines that cut in the petal and you could shade easy with any of the coloring mediums. I left it plain, so you could see what it’s like right out of the die.

Here’s the Heart Swirl die. So dainty and cuts perfectly!  The two teeny butterlies are from the packaged Magnolia Tree die set… they are so cute!  Gonna be so much fun to use!

Look at this awesome Dream tag!  it’s a set of two separate dies… so if you wanted you could even use the tags separately.  LOVE it!  The Swirly Butterfly die…oh wow!  It’s two pieces and cuts perfectly!!!  gorgeous!  LOVE it!

And this adorable Scallop Tag die!  I love it!
