Peace, Love, Joy Stocking Girl…

Today the All That Scraps design team is reviewing the October release Sweet November Christmas Baby stamps from CC Designs, HERE.  So cute!  Love how the artist Amy Young added the snowman pocket on this Stocking Girl!  She is stamped on Paper Trey Ink card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.  Hair – E31, 34, 57, 59,  Skin – E000, 00, 01, 21, R20 (diluted),  Dress – R24 and E07.  Just wouldn’t be a finished card without a sentiment!  I used the Merry and Bright sentiment set, HERE,  again… love it!

The holly vine is a Sizzix die #656293 (remember the pumpkin vine? here? lol)  red brads for the holly berries. I used the EK Success med. heart punch and a Marvy snowman punch for the chipboard looking embellishments.  Punched four pieces, glued them together and colored.  I used a Japanese screw punch to get the button holes in the snowman.  I used the new Martha Stewart holly edge punch too.

The paper is Basic Grey Jovial… I used the 12×12 paper collection but the 6×6 pad is available HERE.

I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers, HERE.  It’s a great challenge blog!  Thanks to the DT there!

I’m also linking to the Creative Card Crew Challenge blog, HERE with the theme of “Let’s Punch It”.  My snowman, heart, and holly borders are made with punches!

Amy’s Trick or Treat Princess…

I’ve had this card started for a couple weeks…finally got it almost finished earlier in the week but today was “the day” to get it on the brown!  lol  I know,  I use a lot of “brown”!  I like it!  An adorable image by Amy Young for CC Designs… the cutest Baby Trick or Treater.   I hope you can see the detail in this awesome tree die cut too… I’ll post a close up.  Awesome woodgrain (brown) lol!   The grass and the ABC frame are cut on my old original Cricut.  I love the Graphically Speaking cartridge… lots of fun stuff that I have yet to cut!  Martha Stewart’s fence border punch.  The pattern paper is by Bo Bunny and the teeny apples are a Fiskars hand held apple punch.

The close up…

I used the same color combos I always use… boring… hehe  Hair – E50, YR31, 23,24,  Dress – R24, 27, 29, 59,  Skin – E000, 00, 01, itty bitty bit of E21 and I can’t remember what I used on her cheeks this time.  I figure I did good to remember this much! lol

Free Wheelin’ Wally…

Isn’t Wally the cutest turtle ever to hit the sidewalk?!  Today the All That Scraps DT is reviewing the Cuddle crew and Sugar stamps,  part of CC Designs October release, HERE.  I really enjoyed coloring Wally and I used the Sweet Stop Sketch for this week.  I missed Saturday!  So here’s my take on it today.  I used the new Basic Grey Wander Paper,  HERE.

Here’s Wally up close…

I think he wants us to get out of his way! lol  Six of our grandchildren (Heather and Ben’s) were over Sunday afternoon.  The oldest is ten and imagine my surprise when I came outside and he was riding my bike!!!  oh my, he can’t be but he is!  tall enough!!!   It was a fun afternoon,  youngest is 15 months and wow!  he can kick the ball good!  So CUTE!  He’ll be riding a bike before we know it too! They grow up so fast!  A funny about Corrin (the 15 mo.old) – I wonder if Heather has read a book about living in a tree… oh Pooh or the Berenstain Bears or something.  Corrin loved looking at this one tree in the neighbor’s parking….it’s an old one and looked like there could be an opening at the bottom… he had to examine that and then look up to the tippy top for quite a while too,  a couple different times! It’d be fun to know what he was thinking! lol

Have fun reviewing the October stamps… and get this…the SALE this week,  HERE, Cuttlebug 2010 Folder Sets and A2 Plus are all 40% off until they are gone. Over 29 different folders in stock and discounted!!!!  Check them out!  PUNCHES 10% off with the coupon code “punch” HERE.  Then,  the last day to get the Sugarplums Christmas Kit as a kit, HERE, is this Friday the 15th… great savings purchasing the stamps as a kit. They will be released individually Nov. 1st.  Tim Holtz Halloween Embossing folders in stock, HERE.  I keep remembering more!!!  How awesome is this!!!  Custom name stamps, HERE!  Just in time for Christmas cards!  One for your return address,  one for the family signature inside your card and one for the back!  Very cool!

oh,  in case you want to know… I used YG00, 03,25, 95 for Wally,  the reds are R08, 24, E07 and some E43… I know weird combo…I just thought it needed more of a brown tone to go with the paper!  I did put a touch of green on his eye and used a silver metallic pen on the basket and the chain circle thingy.  N grays for the bike tires and anywhere you see gray.  Wally was stamped on Paper Trey Ink  card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Sketch markers.  I used nestabilities circles HERE to cut and mat him.  Happy pedaling!  and shopping!

HERE is my post with the other NEW Cuddle Crew stamp Daisy… and HERE is my post with one of the new Sugars… Sugar September.

You’re the pick of the patch!

Lili and I agree….YOU’RE the pick of the patch!  It’s that time of year!  Pumpkins everywhere!  So,  I had this “idea” yesterday a.m. (so glad when I have one! lol)  to make this old fashioned looking pumpkin.  Can’t think of what the stuff is called…seems like Martha Stewart sells it… oh, maybe it’s honeycomb???  That is the look I was going for anyway…

I  ♥  it!  I punched 7 Punch Bunch ovals and folded them in half and taped them together.  The stem is a piece of brown card-stock that I rolled around my paper piercer and then glued the end and glued it to the leaf behind… isn’t it just the clever – ist thing?!!! hahahaha…the silliest things make me happy!  The “vine”,  don’t tell anyone but it’s really a holly die cut from Sizzix…ugh… but I liked it as a vine, think outside the box…see you didn’t realize it was holly,  did you?! I don’t really want to know! lol  It’s a cool die…one of those 12 in. long Sizzlets,  has a NOEL on it and a cool frame. The item # of the die is 656293.

My card today is for the Inky Impressions Challenge blog post – “anything goes”… click on over and join the fun!  The challenge is for two weeks,  can’t wait to see what you create!  You gotta top my pumpkin!!! lol

A side shot… (of that pumpkin)  : )

This really is about Lili (leelee) and her pumpkin…not about my pumpkin but I guess I shouldn’t write posts at night cuz I get silly! *cough*  You will find this awesome Lili and the other new releases from Inky Impressions, HERE.  Lili is colored with Copic Sketch Markers on Papertrey Ink card-stock.  Her hair is the E30’s, jacket is BV01 & 02, jeans are E40, 41 and 42, pumpkin is YR00, 02, 04, 07, YG93 & 95, skin is E000,00,01 and diluted R20 (R000)  Do you know if you can dilute a color with blender fluid?

I used Oval Nestabilities HERE and Labels 10 HERE.  The super fun sentiment is from Amy R’s Autumn sentiment set HERE.  K & Co. pattern papers… Stampin Up Old olive and Cajun “something” card-stock. Making Memories brads.  All the papers are edged with Distress inks HERE.

I used the sketch from the Everybody Art Challenge blog and at Stamp Something Challenge blog, the theme is Something Punchy!

Happy Friday!  I’m off to our area stamp club Christmas party this afternoon. Looking forward to it!  Thanks for stopping by and happy pumpkin making!!!
