so you think you’re still 29!!!

Haa Haa! What a character, so cute with her tongue sticking out!

CC Designs August release preview today is the new Cling mount, rubber stamp, Happy Birthday sentiment set… FIVE very cool, hip and fun to use sentiments that complement the Laugh Lines images wonderfully!   I stamped Bee Laugh with Versafine Onyx Black ink on 140# watercolor paper and painted her with Distress ink refills.  Face – tattered rose and vintage photo, Hair – antique linen, vintage photo and walnut stain,  Bee suit – mustard, black soot, vintage photo, Grass – brushed corduroy, peeled paint, Sky – weathered wood. I edged the card with vintage photo distress ink and the ink blending tool.  Sentiments are stamped with Versafine Black Onyx ink also… love that ink!  Cancellation stamps are from the CC Designs Butterflies postage set.  Parenthesis are cut with a CC Cutters die,  I used the medium size here.  Awwww… the tape… Smash tape from K & Co.!  I bought mine at the LSS in Ottumwa, IA, Craft and Hobby Connection!  Lisa and Jeremy carry a HUGE inventory of CC Designs rubber stamps too!!!  ❤

On the inside I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the new set…love it!

I’m linking up Bee Laugh to the That’s Krafty Thursday Challenge blogHERE

Flower Laugh and Bee Laugh…

Bringing you sunshine and flowers!  This is Flower Laugh!  The new gal on the block from CC Designs!    So cute with her quirky little smile!!!  Personality +++! So fun to color too!

Flower Laugh is a cling mount stamp… I inked her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink,  stamped her on Strathmore Bristol Smooth card and colored her with Copic Sketch markers

To complement the new Laugh Lines stamps, Christine illustrated a set of four postal stamps…also cling mount stamps. (to cut out the postage looking half circle,  I use my Japanese screw punch!)

The “thinking of you” sentiment is from another new set we’ll be previewing later this week, called Mixed Sentiments!  I cut it out with one of the banners from the CC Cutters banner set.

I used the sketch from Mojo Monday Challenge blog, HERE,  for my Flower laugh card.

Next up… Bee Laugh… spunky little character!  love her!

Another postal stamp from the Postage Laugh set…another new sentiment from a set we’ll be previewing tomorrow!  I also used the CC Cutters Dottie Trim die, link below…

Ice Cream Birgitta soaking up the sun!

How about another take on our beloved easel card!

Here’s a little 2 minute video on how I scored and folded the pieces…very easy!

I used Ice Cream Birgitta from the June, CC Designs, Swiss Pixies release.  I stamped her on heavy cold press watercolor paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink and colored her with distress inks.  Made a little beach for her with the Fiskars wave border punch,  the Martha Stewart rickety fence border punch and the EK Success sandcastle/beach border punch.  Oh,  I do LOVE punches!  I punched the wave punch out of white cardstock and inked it with Faded Jeans Distress ink and the ink blending tool… then came back and added white accents with a white gel pen.  The puffy little flower stickers here and there are from K & Co.  I purchased them at an independent scrapbook store in Des Moines.  Filmstrips are so fun for embellishing and this new mini die from My Favorite Things is awesome!  love it!  I punched little fishies out of the pattern paper and stuck them behind the open areas.  The small easel is pattern paper I cut up from a 6×6 sheet from the Fancy Pants Beach pad.  Super cute papers for Summer acitivities.

Here’s how the easels fold down, flat, to fit into an envelope…

Just the front…

NEW stamps and more stuff in the store at All That Scraps… HERE…the new Tomboy stamps are sure cute!

CC Designs June Release Review…

Today the All That Scraps DT gals are reviewing stamps for the June release on the ATS blog, HERE.  I used the new Amy R Magical Wishes set…very fun sentiments for in and out!

I used the new Magnolia Doohickey’s  flower petals die from the Butterfly Dreams Tree die set for my flower… cut three, layered them up and a Lasting Impressions brad in the center.   The leafy branch on the front is a Sizzix Sizzlet die,  the leafy branch on the inside is from the Magnolia Doohickey’s Bon Voyage Foliage set.

I used the October Afternoon Thrift shop 8×8 paper pad, flower paper is from the Campfire pad,  some SU stripe twill, some Technique Tuesday twill, some cotton cord, a button,  some flower trim I purchased on etsy a couple years ago (I found it when I was going through a pile a couple weeks ago – that’s why we make piles… it’s so fun to find stuff later!!! lol),  Hero Arts small pearls, another Magnolia Doohickey’s die from the Butterfly Dreams collection called Dream tag and a scallop circle nestabilities die.

Linking my card to some challenges… Paper Sundaes Challenge blog – girly girl is the theme… Stamp Something Challenge blog – something punched (or die cut)… Stamp With Fun Challenge blog – pearls and flowers…
