Magnolia…Stolen Heart Edwin

Who stole my heart?  My achy breaky heart!  That Edwin…at it again!  This handsome guy is one of the new images from Magnolia’s Sweet Crazy Love collection.

I created a scene using the sketch from Stempeleinmaleins Challenge blog… I used Magnolia stamps, Edwin and the heart/love corner…Magnolia’s Doohickey Mini Zig Zag die for the grass…love it!

When you see the sketch, you’ll see why I used the branches in the top corners…a unique photo corner! lol  I was going to use the CCD Cutter parenthesis die with the AmyR Stamps All About Love sentiment, Be My Valentine but then decided to lay it up in the corner and there it stayed!

The polka dot paper is from the Echo Park, Yours Truly 6×6 paper pad.

Dark Chocolate…

It’s a dark chocolate cuppy cake kind of day!  My card for the reminder post over on the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge blog.  The challenge going on right now is a color challenge.. Blue, Brown and Tan.  I really meant for this to be a true blue card but the new Farmhouse 8×8 pattern paper pad was hogging my desktop, crying for use,  so I went with it. Ugh!  So my card is “kinda blue”! Rolling my eyes…@@   At least I got the brown right and kraft is tan,  isn’t it?  Today it is the new tan!!! lol  Head over and create for a chance to win!

The half doily is cut from one of the pieces of pattern paper in the pad.  Hug Snug ribbon dyed with a Walnut Stain distress stain.  All the pieces are edged with Walnut Stain Distress ink and the ink blending tool. Instead of messing with thread for the buttonholes,  I cut a sliver of card-stock to thread the button with… glue it on the back… slick.

The cupcake die is so cool…the bottom embosses,  I used a little copic marker from the bottom up on the cupcake paper… Y28… the dark chocolate is enhanced with E40, 44,47,49.   I tried vintage shard glass glitter on the top but just didn’t like it w/the more old fashioned feel of the papers so took it off and colored it and added the button instead!  The cupcake logo is stamped on a piece of the paper from the pad too.

I used the sketch from Sweet Stop Sketches Challenge blog HERE

So that’s my bit of shabby chic for today.  Wish it was healthy to eat these things for breakfast, lunch and supper!  Hey,  just stick a carrot in the top!  Carrots make everything healthy, right?! ha!  oh that reminds me of the broccoli ATC I made for a friend one year… it was a picture of a broccoli cake!  She hates broccoli! lol

I found the picture of it…hahaha… well,  I think it’s funny anyway! lol

ok – I’ll shut up and finish…

Jilly’s Candle and a cupcake kind of day!

Jilly’s excited about another birthday!  Like all kids, she loves candles!  Jilly’s Candle is one of the NEW Birthday Fairwees from Sweet November in the CC Designs January release at All That Scraps.com.   Today is Tuesday Review day on the All That Scraps blog, HERE…more fabulous creations from the Design Team gals.

I stamped Jilly with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Hammermill 80# Color Copy Cover and colored her with Copic Sketch Markers.  I really like this card-stock…super smooth,  colors blend and it’s easy to fussy cut too!   She’s a cutie and fun to color too!

Stamps and Such…

Thanks for stopping by to celebrate!  I sure hope to get more stamping done this week… it’s a busy birthday month around here!  Take care!

January Birthday Review day…

I colored up little Daphne’s Balloons from CC Designs Sweet November Fairwees Birthday collection for today’s post.   She’s hangin’ on so cute…lovin’ those balloons!  Kids and balloons… Tim’s mom loves to give the grands balloons and they love them too…they make me so nervous! Pinching and poking makes me sure they will pop! lol  The new Party Time Logos in the CC Designs January release are so cool!  Be sure to check them out!  I have something I want to try with one of them but not sure it’s gonna work yet…

Daphne is stamped on Hammermill Color Copy Cover 80# paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored with Copic Sketch markers.  Her hair is E23, 25, 27 and 29;  her face is E000,00,11, R20,22; her wings are BG00, 01;  her dress is E81, 87, R24, 27, 29.  Balloons are YR12, 04, 07 and W1 over the top and R 24, 27, 29, 59 and W5 over the top.

I used the tops of the CCD Cutters Mistletoe die for the tree tops.  Added a little foliage “look” with Copics YG93 and 95.  The pattern paper I used is from Simple Stories Happy Day 6×6  pad.  I love the pad but they are sure different colors to photograph…bet it was just that orange throwin’ me off kilter!  eek! lol  It’s really not fluorescent IRL!

Check out the other birthday creations from the All That Scraps Design Team on the ATS blog,  HERE.

Thanks for stopping by for the celebration! ttul!

Happy Birthday…

This new CC Designs Swiss Pixies Lucy can stand alone because she is the cutest thing ever!

Well,  here’s the whole card…

Our granddaughter Lilli turns 7 on the 8th.  Yep,  you guessed it,  she’s a red-head!  This card is for you Lilli!  Happy Birthday!  AND,  she loves pink!  She loves to color with copics too… for Christmas I gave her the markers to color red hair, cuz she loves to color her color hair! hehe  Today I used E97, E08 and E19 for her hair.  Her skin is E000, 00, 21, cheeks are R20, 21, 22…micro amounts! lol   All the pink is R81, 83 and 85.

I used Party Time Lucy,  Party Time Logos and the Candle border die.

Here’s a side view…

I hope you can see that I used two different pattern papers for the candle border die.  I cut the candle border out of each one…kept  the back piece with the flame and attached the second piece to the top after I cut the flames off… very easy!  You probably can’t really see this,  but I embossed lines with the small end of a stylus between the candles to give definition and dimension.

I used Marga’s sketch from Scrap-en-stempel club blog HERE.

Wish you could see this one IRL… so sweet.  I know what my friend Linda is going to say….another pink card! lol  She’ll get to see it at stamp club! lol

Thanks for visiting Lucy and me today!  We loved having you over!  = )
