May Flowers…enjoy!

I was collecting ideas yesterday online and one thing led to another and I found myself creating flowers!  This was fun…used an old Sizzix die that had never been used….two old Quickutz leaves…the lovely swiss dots embossing folder…the flowers and leaves are all Stampin Up card-stock….the pot is Prism card-stock, stamped w/SU’s sanded background stamp (love that stamp)….twill is from Technique Tuesday…the tag is a QK die also…the word stamp, “enjoy” is from an old Hero set that had several small stamps w/words…love those!!!

Here’s the blog I found the instructions on…. Stephanie Luman ….she makes it so easy!

Go look at this flower pot card… Cindy Van Sluys … I love this one too! Wish I had this stamp set…boo hoo

And this one….oh my,  it’s totally colorful and fun! Anitsirk ….it will make you smile and want to go make one!

Pink and Green challenge

The challenge for week 2 at Just Magnolia challenge blog is to use the colors pink and green and one Magnolia of Sweden stamped image…here is my entry….

running to catch the butterfly Tilda

I really had fun w/the flower bouquet in the bottom left corner.  Picked up a small stem type punch at Outstamping Designs in W. Des Moines last week and for once I used something right away after purchasing!!!!  I punched and adhered little flowers to make baby’s breath to accent the larger flower that is made from the EK Success medium retro flower and the Martha Stewart Hydrangea punch. The leaves are the Martha S. rose leaf punch.

I colored Tilda with copic markers… R81, R83, R,85 & R89

The “for you”  phrase is from Quickutz cookie cutter dies…

yep,  that’s the Fiskars apron lace punch down the right in white card-stock…love that punch!

The pattern papers are from Memory Box…6×6 set…

Find Joy Everyday

img_22591

Super cute Edwin,  Tilda and the butterflies are from the Magnolia of Sweden rubber stamp company,  Spring Club Sheet of stamps.  I love coloring these images with copic sketch markers – simply CUTE, CUTE, CUTE!!!  Find joy everyday sentiment is from a Hero Arts clear stamp set.  Flower is the EK Success retro medium flower punch,  leaves are a Martha Stewart punch and the button brad is from Making Memories. The pattern paper is the Dill Blossom pad from Michael’s.  I like to use the Canson 9×12 tablet of Manga drawing paper to stamp and color with the copic markers.  It’s heavier than 80# cover card-stock and really blends nicely.  Oh,  I almost forgot,  I used a Martha Stewart double scallop border punch also.  I haven’t seen any butterflies yet,  but I saw a wasp yesterday.  Dandelions,  ground ivy and violets are showing up big time! lol  My granddaughters love them!   Spring is here!

The grandchildren and I have so much fun creating with the Cricut Paper Doll cartridge, that I had to make one for Lane for his birthday card.  I added lots of little details…chalked and inked everything, crumpled the card-stock for the band on his hat…stamped teeny paisley on the scarf…

headI wanted his chaps to look like leather so I used a Magenta crackle stamp on them….pantsThen to make the rope look a little like twine/rope,  I took my xacto knife and scratched it up….ropin7a very fun cowboy to make….I’ve always loved paper piecing!!!  Hope he makes you smile too!
