Seems I never get enough rubber stamps! Getting new ones is so delightful! This border stamp from Stampin Up is so charming to me…a dainty and delicate floral motif that comes on the wheel and I remove them as soon as I can! I was looking for a scrap to do something with and pulled this strip of blue/greenish card-stock out of the box and it was the beginning of this card. I used the Fiskars apron punch again, keeping the clean white look, a white prima flower and more punch pieces for the brown greenery. The kraft leaves look better IRL, in my opinion….hehe The text stamp is from Printworks and stamped in Versafine Black ink. I used Espresso Adirondack ink for the floral motif. A button from Making Memories and a little piece of jute in the holes. Now, to decide what to work on next!

happy, happy day!
It’s a dreary, dreary, rainy day here, not good for taking pictures! BUT, at least I’m getting in a new post! woohoo!LOVE Lasting Impressions pattern papers! I used a few I picked up in Des Moines at Outstamping Designs in Valley Junction on this card.
Then, I had to try out the Spellbinders scallop dot border die that’s been laying there on the desk taunting me….oh and the Sizzix button die hadn’t been used yet either! Just kept thinking it’d make cute flowers! The leaf is the Martha Stewart rose petal punch. The wishing you is a Penny Black stamp. Buttons are from a long time ago, a Making Memories case of buttons.
And, I better not forget the new Fiskars Apron border punch…love it, probably because of it’s name! lol
I didn’t smear any ink on anything on this card! I’ve been looking at some blogs where the gals use white a lot! So, I’m giving it a try….
happy, happy day!
3 Cards published!
Have you seen the new book 1000 Handmade Greetings “creative cards and clever correspondence”, by Quarry Publishing? Well, how fun is this?! I have three cards published in it…the first one, on page 52, my favorite card that I’ve ever made, (I reserve the right to change my mind). lol I made it for a couple really special friends in memory of their family. The other two cards are on pages 62 and 188. Here they are…

Friends of the Freezing Kind
I do love snowmen and as our new grandson would say, “Dep, I do!” !!!

Annette Allen Watkins, the artist behind the Printworks Collection rubber stamp company, has drawn so many snowman stamps over the years and I have loved them all! This trio of snowmen stamp is probably going to end up as one of my faves though! And then the white ice skates, so fun…you’ve already read about my fond ice skating memories…*grin*
Cuttlebug snowflakes…brrrrr!
